WHATS NEW FOR SATURDAY
Is it REALLY November 1st Aunt Jan and OH Peeps???
Well-Im not sure where this year went-but it sure did fly by-and who made up that saying about time flies when you are having fun? Its hardly been "fun" this year! However.......
We had a BLAST last night! I dressed up with the boys to take them trick or treating! I had found a cow costume last week at the 2nd hand store-with real looking "udders" and the whole bit!!! So, I bought it ($5.00)-but it didnt have the head pc-so I made one, white with black spots and I made one ear black and one ear white with black spots-LOL-and I wore my black crocks and black gloves. My boys were the only ones that I told I was dressing up (that live around me) and I didnt even let them see the final product until last night!! I wanted it to be a surprise. I was so excited to get their reactions!!! Anyway-we got some pics of me and the boys dressed up....had to coach Jon on doing a SCARY face-but I will have Renee get them put in my profile as soon as we either get together OR I can maybe email them to her and she can transfer them over-heck, I dont know. Im pretty challenged! Will let you know when they are posted anyway. Am also trying to get an updated pic on my avatar, but so far, havent been able to get that accomplished either.....
Earlier in the day, I took Jon to Neosho-every Holloween, they trick or treat on the square-which is where Mikes office is. We were 1/2 hr early, but I didnt realize there was a time, because I saw others going from store to store-so I started taking him. Only one store denied him candy saying it wasnt time yet (it was 10 till 3-officially started at 3).....so I wont do business in THAT store anymore. Other than that-he had a lot of fun. Then I had a couple of errands to run-about 10 minutes, then I surprised him and took him to the fish park-and he got to feed the fish (he LOVES it there!). There were some kids there that kept trying to shove him out of the way when he was trying to get the fish food out of the machine-it takes the quarter and drops the food out-well, these shovey, rude little girls first tried taking his quarters out of his hands and I nipped that in the bud right away-and within ear shot of their grandma sitting 2 feet away-she says-you guys already had your money and then goes back to her phone call...well, I am turning the knob (and he has his little hands under the drop deal to catch the food) and she shoves Jon out of the way, trying to take the fish food! She knocked him right into me....I said-Excuse YOU, Young Lady-that was VERY RUDE-YOU DO NOT SHOVE PEOPLE, AND YOU DO NOT TAKE SOMETHING THAT DOESNT BELONG TO YOU-and THIS DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU! and I put MY hands there to get his food and then looked at their grandma (yes, 2 girls-both exactly the same) and said-Ma'am, can YOU PLEASE keep an eye on YOUR girls? She snaps-those are my GRAND-DAUGHTERS....and I said-Im sorry-I dont mean to sound snotty, but I dont care HOW or IF they are related to you, IF they are HERE WITH YOU, then it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to watch them, NOT MINE-and MY son doesnt get to come here very often and I would APPRECIATE it, if you would KEEP YOUR GRAND-DAUGHTERS in check so they dont RUIN MY SONS TIME HERE! She gave me a go-to-hell look-at which, I did it right back-and she then decided not to push my buttons..... I looked at Jon and told him how PROUD I was of him for having manners and for always being a good citizen and good little boy! That made him so happy-and we just went along our business-and they finally left. Then we went to the library and applied for our library cards (we are going to start going as part of our home schooling outings). We didnt check anything out yesterday, because when he was getting ready to get out of his car seat-he said-O, man, mom-LOOK! He had a hole in the crotch of his pirate pants!!!! When he moved-he lost the whole rear end-right along the seam-a good 6-8 inches!!!! Oh man!!! So-I just filled out the cards and as soon as they mail them to me and I bring them back in (its how they verify you live where you say you do) then we will get them then. Thank goodness I keep a spare outfit and jacket for us in a tub in the back of the Suburban at all times!! Its too bad I forgot it was still back there when I dragged him into the library!! LOL....I put his sweats on him and we went and rented 2 movies and a "reward" game for him and then I stopped at McDonalds for him and Darrel for their dinner before trick or treating. Then we came home and I took the pants down to Vikkis to be sewed (machine was already out.....LOL and Mine isnt.)-Mike got home and he had taken a fall too-and he couldnt hardly walk- AND/OR get up....his knees and shoulder were killing him. He wanted to go with us-and I told him NO because I knew that he would have to just sit around in the Suburban and he would get bored. So-we met Megan and Aaron in town, and they had candy for the boys from my mom (who said she wanted to see them, but not enough to leave her apartment, I guess-she KNEW I wasnt going there-and said she would meet us cause she wanted to see them). Megan looked really good yesterday. Was still sick, but had a glow about her and she is REALLY showing now-love it......Im so glad that she isnt like Mikes boss's daughter (they are due the same day and both having girls) she wont let anyone touch her belly! O, man-that would stink, cuz I am ALWAYS rubbing megs belly and talking to it-LOL....Rachael has only let Leigh (boss's wife) touch her belly once-she hates people "touching" her.....
Today, we are doing some yard work. Planting the stuff we didnt get done last weekend. Had some shopping to do today, BUT....the tabs are expired. Vikki went down to get the tags for it yesterday and she had said the inspection was good for 2 yrs-well, it was 10-27-07-I remember paying 2 yrs price for it....well-since the Suburban was an odd yr-it was only good for one-and so I have to go have it re-inspected Monday and now, since the odd yr, even yr thing is ALL done.....(last yr was the last yr-if that made sense) now it WILL be good for 2 yrs-plates too. So-the boys and I are going to plant some bulbs-tulip and e/e-and then have some weed eating to do-and then have to weed some things by hand-some small trees that we have wire around and such-so we dont run over them with the rider-sometimes mom and dad (down the trail) will mow if they get bored or if Mike and I arent doing so hot-and they dont always know where there are new things-like my lilac bu**** got run over and it died (rip lilac bush) Loved that!! Now everything gets wire around it! We will be getting new siding on the house in 2 weeks too-so I have to get the front porch cleaned off so they can get to all the siding! I said-what the heck is up with you guys ALWAYS doing things to this place-MAJOR stuff-right around the holidays? ALWAYS! There is ALWAYS so much extra going on at that time anyway-so its gonna be a mess for a couple of weeks.
Well, I am going to get my responses done and be lazy....I mean, go plant some bulbs.
**Jan-Oh man, thats scary about the snake! Poor Andy! I FEEL his pain! Whats up with these falls Andy takes when your walking with him? Are you sure he doesnt get ahead of you-so you throw something at his feet or trip him? LOL-Im just kidding-Its so hard to watch someone fall! Its embaressing for them, but we KNOW what that feels like - and so that stinks for us too! Im not sure I want to walk with you when we come for the weekend! LOL.....
I wish I had $2500, but unfortunately, that IS too much. I really need to try for a grand or less, and most likely-I will have to wait and see what I can get out of the stuff in storage. I WI**** were spring already and we are going to use the morton building and have a HUGE-one of the biggest sales EVER-inside it. Mom and dad havent had a sale in 25 yrs and the morton building is FULL of anything you can think of-and IM NOT KIDDING-there is everything from antique trunks, to regular furniture, to an old boat and car parts-hamster cages-racks for stores-etc etc etc etc....we will HAVE to advertise because of where we are located-but we are going to start cleaning it out after Christmas-and then start on the other buildings they have things stored in-so.....who knows-BUT....We are going to try to get enough money right now to get something for a grand or less. Thank you for thinking of me and emailing me. Keep them coming-EVEN if its 1500 or so-because we could probably meet them half, you know? I guess I will need to check out the bartering on Craigs list-havent done that part of Craigs list yet. Good idea-THANKS for suggesting it-I appreciate it.
Thank you for having confidence in me for the party! I LOVE that kind of stuff....PLUS...it feels good to have a group that will let you do things you like to do!! When I was a member of our last church, for 6 yrs-they were so clicky and all-that they would let their friends do everything and even if you had a special interest or something you WANTED to do-they would keep putting you aside! They would only let me do something IF someone else got sick or bailed out on them last minute. It sure made me sad! Anyway-I LOVE it and I CANT WAIT!! Last year was so much fun!! I also have a really good co-planner who I LOVE and enjoy too-so that makes the planning even MORE fun!!!
Hope you have a good weekend. Love you and Joe.....Still in my prayers-as well as Michele and the rest of the clan...Oh-and I forgot-I have a few things for the lil' grand-daughter here in 24 months. Will bring them next month, k?
**Andrew-N-Sugar-Whatzzzzzz up with you guys falling? Yesterday was NOT a good balance day, was it? My hubby took a fall yesterday too-hurt both knees and his shoulder. I am praying for both of you for quick healing! Im so sorry that happened to both of you!!! Andrew-keep an eye on Jan.....Are you ahead of her when your taking these falls? LOL.....Im just kidding-
**Sug-Thanks for volunteering to be my co-planner.....Its gonna be so much fun. We did a white elephant type exchange last month with the numbers. I think we should keep it that way-it was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed it so much! I will send ya an email soon and we will get some stuff planned out AND....I have a few more little ideas to make it a little more fun, if thats possible-things we have done in our past Christmas/Holiday parties I would be in charge of, at the Cancer Institute where I worked. Im really looking forward to this! I hope you feel better soon! Im so sorry you fell, but I am so happy about your WOW moment and your grandson picking up his grandma-that made me smile!! CONGRATS on your goal-well, BELOW GOAL!!!! I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU and HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! You have worked so hard - and I am not just saying this - but you are truly one of the most beautiful women I have ever met. Your hair and your face were ALWAYS beautiful, but your smile and your soul are so much more outgoing and there is a warmth to you that you didnt have when I first met you!!!! I just LOVE seeing what the surgery did for you-ecspically after such a rocky start!!! Love you!
**Andrew-O, man!! I can imagine the snake thing-dont those evil lil' things know they are suppose to be going into hiding now? What is up with all of them being around NOW?????? Im just glad you didnt get bit. Poisonous or not... A bite is a bite!!! Hope you and Susan are good-and that your feeling better-and, I think you SHOULD blame your injuries on that darned snake-yeah, yeah-thats the plan!!! LOL...Take care!
**Sandy-Was so happy to hear that your pies netted what they did!! How wonderful! Did you end up having any of that $37 worth of candy left? I LOVE living out in the country-but miss seeing the lil' ones trick or treating at my door!! I leave stuff with my mom to hand out for her lil' ones that go to her place tho.....Hope you have a good weekend and dont get called in today!
**Barbara-LOVED the costume!!! How cute!! How is baby doing with school? Ok, well, I will tell you what-please let me know at least a month beforehand when your next 5k is-and what we need to do to register or whatever-and I WILL do my best to be there....that will give me enough time for transportation and such-AND maybe a few of us can get together and split the gas cost and come all walk together and if not, I WILL come myself! Arthritis, alzhiemers (sp?), obesity-you name it-I will be there with ya!!! If I have a way to get there-Im there. My feet will do the rest!!!
O-I would LOVE to bring Jon to the farm....Maybe in the spring we could do a field trip and come up and do it for his school and animals? He would love that, and so would I!!!! I love cows anyway-wish I had them here-and some pigs, ducks, chickens.....LOL...would LOVE IT! Thanks too-and cant wait to see ya on the 19th!!! Love ya.

I think I would take those pics-and get them sent up there-and not wait for them to FIND the others-k? Make sure ONE or more have your face in them too-and then do just a couple like they did-and send them all together....to Reginas attention. Only had 20 trick or treaters last night. I was giving them a big snickers bar, a pack of whoppers and 2 little candy bars to get rid of it. Did freeze the 10 left over snicker bars for dad. I even made a point of giving to the adults walking with the kiddos. I had a good evening to top it off I had 2 slices of caseys supreme pizza with no problem. Thank goodness that is only a treat I allow myself very rarely not like it was before WLS surgery when I could eat 1/2 a pizza and all the cheesy bread sticks I could find. That makes me kind of sick thinking about it now.
Took over a big slice of my apple pie to an elderly diabetic neighbor and she started crying telling me how thankful she was. She hadn't had a pc of pie in so long as she didn't know she could cook with splenda.
Went to wally world early to get my calcium, prilosec and dog food. Was walking around the store to get some exercise in and spotted the spare ribs and started thinking about ribs and kraut. Ended up buying a pack and throwing them in the crock pot with some beer, root veggies and herbs plus a granny smith apple and 1 single serving size of no sugar added apple sauce and the juice off the big can of kraut. It cooked all day and I was going to add the drained kraut when I got back from going shopping with sis and found Dad eating. I asked him how it was and he said it was ok but seemed to be lacking something. I asked him do you think some kraut would help - it was so funny. I was able to eat a full 4 ounces and it was so satisfying. I guess that was one of the dishes Mom would make when the weather turned cooler and it gave me a warm comforting feeling. Do you know what I mean?
So goodmorning mosweetie, this is MOSugar...really just Sugar...so do you have another name? lol Glad to see a new lurker coming on to the scene. Hope you stick around and let us find out all about you. I see you too had Dr d , so did I.
Hey sis, I didnt hurt anything important in the fall I dont suppose...alot of things are sore but just because I fell pretty hard. It is actually the first fall Ive taken since my surgery. I have been more balanced since then it seems. Except at the first when you seem so out of whack. But I use to fall all the time. This was actually a reason, I tripped over a little ledge of concrete sticking up in a driveway that slanted down and when I fell, it made it really a hard fall. But I also experienced a WOW moment ...Christian my grandson (14) held down his hand to me and just pulled me up off the ground...I didnt have to roll over and get on me knees to push myself up....WOW!!!!!!!!! I am still finding those great moments, even after this time since surgery. It is wonderful!
Well, gotta go work out to keep from getting any stiffer! Love to all and my GOD bless your day.
GOD is my ROCK! SUGAR
