WHATS HAPPENING FOR WEDNESDAY

Wow pretty day after the bitter cold we had ...woke up and frost everywhere...went out and sprayed it off of a lot of things before the sun could hit it but I got up too late to save some of the things. All my elephant ears got frost bitten so we spent a lot of today cutting them all back We went to the farm where we get our straw from and have that on hand as soon as they lose some of their wetness. E,.E store water in them and sure makes it messy when you are cutting them down. Water is flying everywhere especially when you cut them down like Joe does...he uses a big sharp machetti...i call him George of the jungle when he gets that thing out...he means business. Lol

I went thru and dug up more e.e. where they were so thick at and I have another box full of them but I have promised Andy, Jeanine, Sheila, and someone else  I will have to look at my list.  Speaking of list , I have a list made up of all the flower seeds I have and I am going to post it and anyone that wants some of the seeds I want you to write back with the list of what you want out of the seeds. Ok

That is the only way I can get it all right ok? Love all of you and I have loads of some seeds and not a lot of some others. So I may run out of what you wanted before I get to you , so first come first served...and if you didn’t get any of them this year you will next year...ok?

Hopefully we will be getting our garden broke up for the first time tomorrow. Then come the really fun part lol ....cleaning it and getting all the grass out. Spraying it with weed killer again and again and burning it off and what ever else we can do to make it as weed free as possible...

Lana thank you for the two pair of 10s you gave me last night.. I haven’t had a chance to try them on yet, today has been hectic...trying to get it everything that needs to be gotten in...

Tomorrow I have to get my dahalias dug up and stored....want to get a start off of my pineapple sage , it is pretty tender and came back even after last year but I had it   covered with about a foot of straw and as cold as last year was I was vcry lucky that it came back,,,,it is one plant that doesn’t bloom till late but the butterflies just love it...it is really big and covered in little red flowers that you can eat, you can put them into fruit salad and make it so so pretty and they taste like pineapple. You can also put the flowers or leaves into iced tea great ...but like I said it isn’t very hardyand you usually have to buy a new one every year...but I have had the same one now for 3 years.

 

Thanks to Andrew I now have my computer up and running on the email I gave all of us before ok? So you can email me there now....

Andrew I appreciate you. ....i know I flaked out on you with walking this morning but if we both feel ok tomorrow we need to get back with it, I feel better when we walk daily don’t you....

  

TAMMY-AMMY::::::: sounds like you have been staying really busy. Have you heard anythinhg about your approval on the tummy tuck yet? Hope that all turns out ok..

Poor Christa, there isn’t someone at her home that is being mean to her is there, don’t mean her mama but someone else...does mama have a  boyfriend? Keep your eyes open , we cant protect our little ones too much from  mean people...

She is so cute and funny don’t want anything to mess us her life  ...that was adorable what she said about extra panties lol ...she is going to be prepared isn’t she:

Yep I got my mammogram done back in June...all clear for another year...

Doesn’t hurt anymore to do it since I don’t have anything left there except skin lol

 

We thought we had all the shorties in the front...Janet was ducking down I do believe cause she is quite tall...so she should have been seen...

Will make sure that it is done better next time ....i had to run them out of the hall way back in there to get their picture done...

JANET:::::: wow didn’t know you had lost a diamond out of a ring? When did that happen?

Elephant ears here at my house are on all sides and some in shade and some in sun but they seem to like the sun maybe more or at least my biggest ones are in the sun more than shade...i had some this year that were about 10 ft tall and the leaves were about 5 ft across. Big big ole suckers.  This year I don’t think I even watered them even once but sometimes if it is real dry and hot I do water them probably at least once a week if there is less than an 1 ½ of rain that week...it wont matter if you keep them over the winter and plant them in the spring....but you don’t have to dig them up in the fall but when it frost on them and kills their leaves then you have to cut them off to ground level let them sort of have a few days to dry up some and then cover them....what I do is in one area that has lots of wind is use the straw but put some dirt on the top of that to hold it down ok ‘ yes the great big ones will produce bigger leaves and plants ,,,the little ones may take a year or so to produce very big plants but they will eventually...and after about 3 years you will want to dig prart of them up like I have this year and spread them around...like if you start down a drive way with them you can extend it every 3 years. Don’t plant them real close together...at least about 2 to 3 feet apart ok?   If you decide to not plant till spring clean them up and dry them out and you need someplace that they wont freeze in to lay out...you don’t want them laying on top of each other like in a bag or box unless you have them totally dried out...best in something like  net bag with air holes in it. And hang it ..

Not too hot of a place but somewhere they wont freeze too. Hope that got all the questions ..

So where do we get this UNDER ARMOUR? I don’t know where another type store like bass pro is....what is the other name for them if  Under Armour is the brand name ???

And the scent blocker would be ok for Joe for deer hunting wouldn’t it? Let me know we have lots of toy runs to make on the bikes this next month...

 

Oh yeah let me know about the stove....i need to put it in the trailer in case we do rent that out for week end guest and such... anyway let me know what you want...

Oh might be interested in the dryer too , Michele got a used washer the other day so might be in the market for a dryer ...

 

Yeah I meant to ask if anyone was interested in doing a gift exchange and also potluck for Christmas//it will be on the 22^nd...

If they do there is a charge to have food in the library not much but like 20.00 for having food there...and we will need to chean up all traces of it before we leave...i know that is no problem tho and we could stay till 9pm when the library closes that evening. So we would have our extra visting done at the library instead of a rest. Lol

 

Thank you so very much for the sweet potatoes, I love them...and Joe does too. I don’t fix any other kind of potatoes than them...we bake them and just put butter on them or maybe a little bit of cream cheese...sooooooooo good.....

Would be neat to form a caravan to drive up to see all of your Christmas decorations.

I can imagine being a child and living in that wonderland...lol

JEANINE::::: I was so happy to see you Monday night. I thought I would recognize you fairly easy...or at least your voice anyway lol

Was such a joy to finally put a face to the voice....and speaking of cute hubbies you have one too you know... He seems like a really great guy...we have lots of good hubbies in our group...

I know I got home and started unloading the truck and saw the chives I had taken for you and any others that wanted them and I said oh my gosh Jeanine for got to get her chives and elephant ears ...darn oh well we will come down that way soon and you can meet us in Harrison , and Brenda and we will have a good visit...

 

Sugars friend was  Vickey, the girl that was trying to show you her fat was Andrea. Lol she doesn’t have any fat that I can see. Was the one that  was talking about hernia surgery be Fran? And right now for the life of me I cant think of the name of the girl that works at wal mart that makes me so mad when I lose some ones name like that.

 

You will getto know all of them soon. And it will be like going to visit old friends each month...the next meeting is there something that you as a new surgery patient would like to know let me know and I will ask everyone to talk about that just a little...time gets away from us in there fast we get to sharing so much....but I love it. That we are able to do that with each other.

Give my Bec a big ole hug for me ok , I know you will just love her to pieces too.

   

PEGGY::::I am so glad that you felt welcomed and enjoyed our group....we love it when we have new people to come . thank you for the compliments , it is appreciated for sure.

 

Lol it amazes me that my sister , Sugar got all the talent in our family , well she didn’t get it all my other sister and one of our brothers are all so talented and I didn’t get anything like that. Lol all I ever did was work lol

Sugars pictures are really pretty tho aren’t they...beautiful pieces of art for sure..

I can stand right beside her or my oldest daughter and take a picture of the same thing thy are taking and mine doesn’t look anythg like theirs does ....it is like my camera sees something else entirely lol

 

Hopefully Janet will be with us if she is doing ok on the 19^th....and Renee..too. don’t know who else but who ever wants to ride with us in Sugars van...

Bbbrrrrr it was cold yesterday morning,  I didnt go outside in the morning so I didnt see much of the frost but I know it was cold out there,  the dogs sure didnt take long to do their thing  lol. 

Had such a great time at the group monday night,  its really awesome to meet new people and put faces to the names ya see on here and all, such fun.  

I dunno why but on monday night when I got home I started feeling real bad and running a fever,  didnt get sick or anything but I sure couldnt get warm,  had 2 extra blankets on me,  woke up tuesday and it was gone but still felt kinda yucky for part of the morning then i felt ok,  dunno what that was all about and all,  Im feelin fine this morning.

Jan your right,  I always feel better after we walk,  sometimes I drag my feet getting out there to walk but once Im out there I feel so much better.  Im really glad I could figure out what was wrong with your connection, computers just have a mind of their own  lol.   When y'all start tilling up the garden i'll come over and help,  thats gonna be a big area to get ready,  its gonna be such a nice garden tho.

Well Im gonna go lay back down for a bit,  y'all have a good day,  stay warm.

Nothing here to report, just same ole, same ole.

Just a suggestion if you haven't already tried it with Sweet Potatoes, i slice them like french fries, toss them in a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil and bake them. They make good fries. Something different!

Have to go fix a bottle of milk for a calf. We had a cow give birth to twins and she only took on one of them. So, we have to play Momma. LOL  Actually it is fun, unless it gets too cold.

I wasn't supposed to work today but they called me in. That is a good thing,I won't be tempted to eat. I do not think I would eat but last night was a close one. My DH is beong very supportive. Thanks to everyone for last night,I needed the encouragement. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning all! Sorry I didnt post yesterday, I did read everything everyone said about the meeting and I agreed with everyone...it was great! We missed all of those who could not be with us, but had a wonderful time. I just always feel like the night was incomplete because I don't seem to get enough visit time with people. Thanks sis tho for all you do to keep the meetings going. You're the geatest big sis in the world. And what do you call being able to grow everything so well?? Talent, I sure can't do it. And Ive seen you draw and your painting and lets see what else, oh yeah, you have a beautiful voice (I on the other hand sound like a frog) LOL! YOU have NO talents...right!! Don't listen to her gang, she just wants your sympathy...lol!

Sis I am glad you posted about the elephant ears and not putting them together in a box...I put them in a bucket yesterday so now I need to go do something different with them. Do you think they will be ok in the shop or the garage? Not sure they wont freeze in either spot tho.

Hey Deb D, I too am beginning to read "One Night With The King" but I only read a few passages at night right before I turn in. I get so sleepy when I read that it takes me forever to get thru a book. lol! Used to read almost a big book a day and sure can't do that anymore.

Hey Sheila, where do you live? How far are you from Springfield? I was wondering if it would be a good little run for me to bring you that wallpaper? Don't exactly know when, but ...? Are you going to get to go with us to Bec's appt. on the 19th?

Peggy, you're such a doll! Was so great to meet you and can't wait to come spend time in your home. We will have such a good time with our visit. And Bec, she gives great hugs! lol! Cant wait for the two of you to meet.

Well, Jeanine, your just as cute and sweet as they come and can't wait for you to get this surgery done and get your new life started as a looser! What a blessing this surgery has been to sooooo many! We all really need to take the time to thank the GOOD LORD for his blessing of letting some Dr think of this. lol! Sure am praying for a quick recovery for you so you can get started with the best journey ever. And wish like crazy that you could go to Peggy's with us on the 19th.

Terri was the girl next to Jan that works at Walmart and the girl with the hernia is also a friend of mine from the aerobics pool and her name was Fran.

Janet, I had'nt heard about the diamond lost either when did that happen? And you found it?  You are looking so wonderful but could tell you hurt so much the other night. It draws us doesn't it? I am looking forward to spending more time with you guys on the trip to Peggy's on the 19th.

Renee, so you can't see any difference yet? We sure could! Are you taking pics as you go? Take at least one a month to keep record of your'e amazing shrinking self. It is sooooo much fun to look back at those pics and know where you came from and where you are going. Anxious about the 19th with you too! Will you just come meet us with Janet? She said something about the Flying J out on the interstate...

Ok, I've got to get ready to go work my butt off at the gym...oh wait, I already did that. Rick says I dont have much of one, but I saw my backside in in those pictures on the beach and I still do have one....not nearly as big as it was, but I still have one. That is definately where I could loose that pound and another 3-5 from my belly...

Can't believe I've been up and awake since 6am!  May have to go back to bed and take a nap.   Sad but true.

Not much going on today.  Really need to go to the library here in town and get that book.  Wish I had it last night.  I did finish reading the Book of Esther.  Jan, you're right, it really is a love story. 

Glad to hear your daughter is still doing great.  All of those years of praying and the Lord answered them in His time.  Which is always perfect.  GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

The Attorney General thing is a great idea.  I think I'm going to talk to Mom's attorney today and get his view on that.  I'm interested to see what the WC attorney told our attorney about Mom's visit yesterday.   I have never thought of contacting our Attorney General...may have to do that.  Thanks for the idea.

Sugar - did you see my post about where Jamesport is at?  Are you and hubby thinking about going?  Let me know and I'll give you all the information you'll need.  DH and I had a great time.  I told him we are going to have to start going back once a year like we used to!  Hey, I would really like to see those pics!  PM me and I'll send you my email address.  I'm always looking for ideas on taking family pictures.

Bec - I'll bet you're up and at em already!  You are such an inspiration to me.  Someday I hope I have just a smidgen of the energy you have.  Tomorrow will be 7 days since I started the Repliva.  I hope Dr. H is right and I feel better.  I'm subbing for a 4th grade class and would really like to have the energy to do so.

Tammy-Ammy - Have been praying for your Mama.  Please let us know what they find out about her liver.  I know it's hard when your Mama is sick.

MO Peeps - Have a great WEDNESDAY!  At least it's suppose to be warmer here today.  Need to run to the library, Walmart and to the UPS Store today.  I bought one of those Monster 1200 steamers and it's WORTHLESS!  I bought mine from QVC when it was a Today's Special Value.  You should read the reviews...it's like a 1 star thing...horrible!  It was the first time QVC had offered it...doubt if they'll do it again.

Thanks for the compliment. Can't wait to meet you too. You'd think we would already met, we live so close to each other. Our lives are just too busy now.

Good morning peeps!  Its cold but I love it.  I heard its supose to be close to 70 by Thursday YAY!  It was so great to see everyone at the meeting.  Its crazy to think since the last one when I was on like day 3 of liquid diet hell. Now I've had surgery, its over and I feel great.  Time flies when your having fun. HA!  My mom really enjoyed meeting everyone.  Before I had the surgery when I was in the research phase we decided on a lap band.  I'm the only child and my mom was so scared of me having this big surgey.  Then when the Dr said no lap band we all kind of freaked out. WOW I am so thankful, so is she.  Funny how things work out like they should.

Renee my surgery sister, you look really good.  I'm sure your feeling great too. Your daughter and her fiance were very sweet.  I'm so happy that everything is working out for you. 

Janet you look great.  My mom can't get over your pictures.  You don't look like the same lady. How proud you must be.  I can't wait to get there. 

Jeanine Girl you are so sweet and funny! When we were going around the table my mom said to me, isn't she pretty.  YES! she is. You are going to do great with your surgery! 

Suzy, Hang in there girl.  You can do this.  the very worst part.  Everyone keept telling me keep your eye on the prize. You are doing GREAT!

Peggy It was really nice talking to you.  You look FanTasTic!  How nice of you to have everyone to your house.  I wish I could be there.

Morning Guys & Gals.......
Pretty chilly out down this way this morning....But I am so thankful it's all sunny and beautiful out.....Makes the cold weather a lil easier to handle when it's pretty along with it.....
Thank all of you again for the prayers for my momma....I talk to her a lil bit ago and she said the doctor thinks it's just some inflamation around her liver.....She thinks it might be from her being so sick with the p-monia and all the fluid shes from being sick.. So hopefully that is all it is and when she gets better the test will come back clear with her liver......She told me they are fighting with her sugar now....It was up last night but his morning it's almost 400 and that's with them having her on their diabetic diet at the hospital.....But that could be her being sick and all the steroids and etc they are giving her.....So maybe things will smooth out when she is feeling better......

Jan.....I had forgoten what it was Cindy was having done too....Then she mentioned in her text something about a nerve I believe it was...The pain meds were hitting last night when we were texting so I told her we would talk to day....Im going to call her about mid day and see how she is doing and find out what all she had done.....

While we were texting we got to talking about a meeting.....When I stopped she had several things going on ....Brenda has some things going on .... I had had surgery and was down for 4-5 weeks and knew I was looking for another surgery coming up...So I thought Id put them off till the first of the year........I had already been thinking on seeing if they might want to meet cause we haven't had one since July or so and I miss seeing em and miss the connection of having a lil time with people that know where Im coming from.....My family has been very supportive and really happy about how much Ive lost and compliment me on how glad they are to see me able to do more and get around better and all ....but it's just different some how if you have a connection with someone thats been there and done that.......
Anyways while we were texting Cindy ask me about having one so we are going to try to have one in Nov....Im so excited.....I might have to slack off in Dec if I get to have my surgery but Im in hopes Brenda and Cindy will step in for me and keep it going....

Speaking of that.....I called 4 times up to Columbia yesterday and the darn phone just rang & rang & rang....No one ever answered....Im not sure what was going on up there yeseterday but Im going to try back today.....Somethings been eating at me about it and I want to make sure Ive not fell thru the crack some where and find out they have not even sent my stuff to medicad yet!!!!! Im taking what ever date they give me but I am in hopes of getting approved and getting it soon because Im really anxious to get rid of this spare tire but also because the have such crappy weather up that way in the winter and it will be starting soon and I hate to have to travel in that stuff..... I had to miss my 6mo apt from my WLS because of that stuff....I scheduled a apt 3 or 4 times and it iced over every time....I finally ask them what they needed and had my PCP do it for them and send it to them.....
I need to find out who on the board lives up that way incase I get stuck up there lol lol.. Anyone up for putting up an ole country girl if I get iced in up that way?? LMBO
Jan Im sorry if I made the thing with Christa sound so bad.....No I don't think anything is going on at home...Ada is staying with my mom and step dad at the moment and they have been tickled to death to have em there....And they have been spoiling her like crazy.... My step-dad takes Christa to school and picks her up because her school is right beside the factory he works at....And they stop several times a week and eat breakfast at Hardees and then they stop EVERY day at sonic to get milk shakes.... My mom gets her about anything she asks for...Ada's even been on them to stop some of it because she don't want her to get use to it and her not be able to do for her like that...  Most of it is Im like her second Momma.....With Ada's health problems and marriage problems and all they have lived with me and PawPaw for probalby 1/2 -3/4 of Christas life....And since I didn't work I have always been the one too keep her when Ada works......She still considers Nannie and PawPaws home even when she lives somewhere else and she likes to come home pretty often lol lol.....Ada's been trying to have her not come quite so often so she can get her use to the fact that they have another home and that she's suppose to live with her Momma and not Nannie....And she's not taking to it too well lol lol.....I am tickled that me and Christa have such a special bond but sometimes it makes it hard on her.....Her mother was the same way... Love my daughter to death but sometimes she is like a hemroid LMBO.....She has always stayed up my butt....When she was a teenager she would drive me nuts calling me when she went somewhere to stay all night....She called to say she was there...called to tell me what she was doing and see what I was doing...called to say good night....called to say good morning.....Heck she called me like 4 times on her wedding night.....I finally demanded she stop calling lol lol....I said do yall not know what a honeymoon is for!!!!!!!!!!!???? Leave me alone and honeymoon!!!!!......... My son is a bit like that but don't call me near as much.....Heck my son is 6'7 and still comes in and sets on my lap!!!
At times it can be a lil smoothering but I am happy that I have such a special bond with my kids....They have so many friends that have come thru the years that you can tell don't have a tenth of what we have and they seem to never want to go away.... If I had took in all the kids that wanted to move out of home and move in with us over the years I would be insane right now lol lol....Ive given alot of hugs threw the years...amazing that there are so many families that don't show that sort of emotions  or effection in their homes.....
So most of the fit the other day with Christa was a attachment thing and her momma trying to deattach her a lil bit......

Janet.....Now that Ive opened my big mouth Im beggining to wonder that I might not should have said anything about the ring.....I didn't remember you saying not too but don't seem like anyone else knew????? Im sorry Sis if I wasn't suppose to say anything.....I was just so tickled you found it!!! .....

To all of you on the liquid diets.....Hang in there!!!! This is the worst part of it for the most!!! ....... I don't think there is a anyone on the board that didn't hate that part and struggle with it.....Guys I did it for 3 months!!!! ...........But Lord it was SOOOOOO worth it and I would do it again in a heart beat......If it gets where you don't think you can make it get on and post and let it all out....Heck if you want you can PM me and I will give you my phone number and you can call me and we will talk to till the eating urge passes......My prayers are with each of you.....

Speaking of phone numbers.... I would love to chat with some of you now and then... If you would too then drop me a line and give me your phone number....I have free calling and can talk away lol lol.......

Before I go....Id like to ask yall to pray for me.....Im not sure what I got or what's going on but day before yesterday I woke up feeling crappy and felt drained all day... I didn't feel sick, I just didn't feel too spiffy.....Then I woke the next morning with a fever blister...Last night the fever blister had gotten bigger....I have no signs of anything other than a bit of allergy stuff....So I have no ideal what's going on.....All the same feeling crappy is for the birds lol lol.....Thanks....
