WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Well I had something just happen to my first page of my post...but was talking about the Cof meeting and getting to meet Jeanine, Susie and Peggy, you could have knocked me over with a feather when Peggy came in , but I didn’t know her from her picture. She is so very pretty, looks so much younger than she does in the pic. She has on the board. ‘ it is so amazing how much you meet people on the board and it is such an added bonus when we meet in person and you feel like you know them so well already...i still cant get over Peggy comeing all the way down here for our meeting...and so glad for Jeanine and Susie came too. I hope you like the meeting and will come back again...Oh jeanine thanks for the peach butter. I opened it up when I got home and tasted, it is wonderful

 

Since it is so late im just going to do my responses and then get to bed, im really tired we have been gone from the house since 10am this morning, running here and there.

 

ANDY:::::I hope your tire made it home allright. Hopefully we can get our walk in first thing in the morning, I guess the cold will make us walk nice and fast anyway..

It is so good to see you and Susan at the meetings now.  

I guess we better plan onj bundling up good in the morning we will freeze it is 34 at the minute and suppose to get down to 25...brrrrrrrrr where are my gloves...

Yes about Michele, you just don’t know how much I have prayed and prayed for this child. And for the Lord to be working in her life is like my hearts desire. I feel like if the Lord decides to call me home that things are ok for me to go now. Does that make sence:? I have cried and prayed over that child so much in her life. It is a wonder that I have any tears left at all.

I bet you stayed in the house quite a bit today didn’t you with all that wind? It was horrible here but now it is clear and no wind so we willl probably get a big frost tonight.

 

 

 

SUSIE::::: keep strong I know you can do it, and remember keep your eyes on the prize,,,it is well worth it...i hope you loved the meeting tonight.

 

 

 

VESTA::::: how much fun you and Linda must have had....i would love to do that big long yard sale that goes thru a couple of states sometime....would be wonderful if we could get a caravan of us and a couple of trailers to haul stuff in and all take off and go do that next year.....I forget when it is ...early summer I think...

Glad that Linda is going to see about the snoring....

 

ANGY:::::: I sure hope your ulcer isn’t starting in again. Honey it is very important that you take your ulcer meds and everything. I know it is aggravating but you don’t want to get sick like that again. Please please take care of yourself...

You are going to have to start packing in the protein and drinking lots of water ...it is necessary for you to be healthy and to lose weight and not hair,...will kieep you in my prayers...

 

 

PEGGY::::: well you sure did surprise me tonight lol I was so happy to see you when I finally figured out who you were. I am still amazed that you drove all the way down to see us and it as cold as it is....hope you made it home ok...and cant wait to see you again on the 19thwe will have at least 4 of us in Sugars van and maybe more...we will be coming with bells on ...

 

 

DEB::::: I had to laugh about fuzzybutts house and him not wanting to get back in it. Cant say I blame him lol....tell Laura that we are all glad that she is home now and I hope and pray she will be better.

Hope your baby is getting better with that cough, makes us feel helpless when they are sick doesn’t it? Better go find your husbands coveralls he will freeze to death...

You only need to take the pneumonia shot once and you are good for a long long time but I always get the flu shot every year...it helps and it CANT MAKE YOU SICK  long ago the first two years that they gave flu shots they were made from live antigen...now they are Not so they cant make you sick...if someone get sick after having the shot they were already starting to get sick before or in is phscopsymatic...meaning that they think it will make them sick so it does...lol

 

 

 

SANDY;;;;;oh wow you can do a lot of things with a seven year old. They aren’t old enough to thihk of grandma as being this ole fogey but still like to do all of the things that grandma knows how to do....any and all of that is good. And would be lots of fun...

Sure glad that your sister got a job  ...i know she is too. Wonderful

Morning Guys & Gals....
Spent Monday picking up the house from the dinner Sunday....Did some laundry and rested....The two girls stayed with us Sunday from the dinner.....Christa had a hard time sleeping cause she was coughing so darn much....She went to bed early cause she had school Mon but she coughed so hard she woke up around 12:45 and was up till around 3am....I just dozed back off and Cheyenne woke up ready to eat and be changed....Got her back down around 4am and then it was time to get up too get Christa ready for school at 7am......
I felt kinda crappy yesterday but thought it was from lack of sleep and being pooped from all the cooking and all....But I woke this morning with a giant fever blister so I guess I felt bad cause I had a fever....I don't feel sick or anything but Lord I hate fever blisters!!!
I got to take Christa to school and pick her up yesterday.....Then when I was taking her home she screamed and cried the WHOLE way....She was screaming ...No don't take me home Nannie...Take me to your house Nannie.....I don't want to see my momma she will make me stay home......Please Nannie let stay the one more night at your house.....LMBO.........When we got there and Ada came out she was frantic cause of all the screaming and crying....She thought something had happened to her.... Then she opens the car door and Christas yelling NO NO NO go away I don't want you to get me out!!!....Im going to spend one more nite at Nannies.......
We had a heck of time getting that kid out of the car lol lol lol......Then when we got in the house every time I move she was ready to grab her coat cause she thought I was leaveing lol lol......
It tickles me to death she loves Me and PawPaw so much but sure makes it hard on her at times like that....I stayed awhile and we talked about her staying again later this week and she finally settled down....When I left she made me promise not to forget her one night lol lol....So I told her I would call her in a few days and we would figure out what night she would stay again....And she said Im packing lots of panites Nan so I can stay a long long time....LMBO!!!!!
Sunday night I let her & Cheyenne take their first bath together.....Cheyennes almost 2 months now....Christa thought that was soo cool to take a bath with a baby..she help me wash her hair and give her a bath and she was telling Cheyenne she was her big cuz and was going to take care of her lol lol.....When Cheyennes mom gives her a bath she does it in the sink and only uses a lil bit of water so when I put her in the tub and it was deeper she had herself a ball and Christa laughed her butt off cause Cheyenne was moving her legs and arms and looked like a lil frog!!! So now she wants to call Chy...FROG!!!!
They wore me out but .....I LOVE BEING NANNIE!!!

Well so far this week I don't have any scheduled running to do!!!!!!!! Oh and how I hope it stays that way.....I need a rest and Nov is full of running days already......

Have you gals gotten your MAMMAGRAMS YET?????? October was the month for it but I didn't get around to doing mine....So I called and made an appt yesterday and me and my best friend Chell are going together to do ours.....And hopefully start doing it that way so we can keep each other in line......

Jan.....Thanks for putting the pic of the COF on your profile!!!! Yall all look great!!! And I miss you guys SOOOOOO much.....I sure wish gas would stay down so I could come more often.....You know its been a year this month since I got to attend a COF meeting!!!!!!!!!!! That's waaaaayyyyy to long lol lol......

I hope you all seen my post about Cindy H.....Im not sure what's going on...she only said she was suppose to have come home Sat and didn't get to cause there were complications and she was either waiting to have a MRI or waiting on the results....  Yall please pray for her and I will try and call her cell today sometime and see what's going on and post later about it.....

Janet...GIRL I AM SOOOO GLAD YOU FOUND YOUR DIMAOND FROM YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING!!!!.......I could tell how frantic you were from you text!!!!!

Angy.....Hope your feeling better....My prayers are with ya....

Vesta....What goodies did you find at all those yard sales???? Where was this at??? I always try to hit a bunch when they have the 100 mile yard sale in May on Hwy 25... WOW can you find some deals at that one!!!

Sandy.....I think no matter what yall decide to do yall will have a great time....There's nothing like spending time with grandma.....My lil Princess (Christa) will be 4 years old Nov 9th and her thing is helping cook now....She loves to cook!!! She helped make the cheese cakes we had for the birthday dinner Sunday and then she got to tell everyone she made em lol lol.......Or maybe yall could do some sort of craft so you both have a keep sake.....My adopted neices around that age love to make bracelets and necklaces with the beads.....

Hello Everyone,
 I had a wonderful weekend with the kids, it was so great spending time with them and everyone getting along. I still don't like the idea of them getting married so soon and them moving to Cali but I will support what ever Kala wants to do.
 The girl's, Chris, and myself all went to a museum here in town Saturday, and then Lee met up with us for lunch. It was so nice to look around the table and see all of my kids smiling and talking. It did my heart good.
 Kala and Lee stayed Saturday and Sunday night with me, and Lee and I stayed up both night's until like 4 in the morning talking and he really does seem like a nice guy. They plan on coming to visit and stay with me alot more, and I'm really liking that idea. I wanted to cry last night at the meeting because Kala reached over and held my hand for a little while. I just love my girl's so much.
 The meeting was so good last night we really enjoyed being there and seeing everyone. It's so wonderful hearing everyone.

 Janet it was so great getting to spend time with you, I know we talk everyday but there is nothing like visiting with you in person and getting one of those awesome Janet Hugs. I love you girl.
 Tiff was so surprised this morning when she opened up her gift's, and went on and on about her card.

 Sugar I loved your picture's they are wonderful and you look so great in them.

 Lou girl you are looking and doing so great keep up all your good work.

 Bec Hun I miss you something terrible and can hardly wait until I get one of those famous Bec hugs.

 Jan it was nice seeing you again. I'm glad the kid's brought the laptop with Miss Peanut's picture's. One of these days when we are just coming to the meeting we will have to try and bring her, she would so love that long car ride.

 It was so awesome seeing everyone last night, I love you all.

Hi Auntie Jan and OH Peeps~

IM COLD!!!! Man, O, Man is it COLD OUT THERE!!! We got the HARD FREEZE last night and by the time I pulled in my driveway and came in, got my goodies unpacked, talked to hubby and so on-it was late and my brain wasnt working-and I forgot to go get my flowers and potted plants off my porch....My porch is covered-so MAYBE they will make it? I sure hope so-because the flowers are ALL still so beautiful-the ones that have made it this far-not only are they beautiful, but they are big and bountiful and this from a teeny tiny little bitty flower I bought during the summer-it makes me happy to see that "I" can be a true gardner, like so many of you!!! I just never had the "right" person advising me on what to plant and how and when......(Jan-THANKS....Hint, Hint-LOL)

I only have but a minute to post and then I have to drag my hurting butt to town, run some errands, pay some bills, go to Megans to give her some treasures I found yesterday and clean the office for my folks. I was going to do it yesterday, but ended up with Renees daughter, Kala and her fiance' Lee, bringing me to the meeting as well as Renee and they came ALL THE WAY TO GRANBY to pick me up!!! SO-My dad said I could do it today IF I wanted to go with them-

The group-AWESOME!!!! I am pretty upset tho-I did NOT know that Peggy was there!!! WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN????? When Bec came that one time (when it was still at the fire station-I missed her too!!!) I am so very upset that I missed Peggy!!!! Where was she at? Peggy-IM SORRY-I SURELY WOULD HAVE BEEN LOVING AND HUGGING ALL OVER YOU!!!!!

I felt so blessed to meet Susie and Jeanine. I have talked to Jeanine through email and her perky pick me up cards-and let me say-Jeanine-your every bit the loving soul I KNEW you were before giving you a hug last night!!! I am SOOOOO HAPPPPYYYYY to have met you and hugged you FINALLY!!! You just have NO IDEA! Susie-YOU ARE KICKIN BUTT AND TAKIN NAMES and we are SO PROUD of you-that two week diet is HARD and if you can do this-girl, you CAN do anything AND you WILL BE SUCCESSFUL-NO DOUBT!!!!

Yesterday, Renee, Kala, Lee and I went to a couple of shops before the meeting-one was a dress shop and they had some AWESOME dresses there. There were a couple there that I just knew would look so beautiful on Tiff (she is Renees youngest and is the maid of honor) and honestly-she is so beautiful with her coloring and all-that I could just imagine her wearing the dresses! I saw a few there that gave ME some ideas-because Mike and I have been talking about re-newing our vows in March since we arent going to be going on that tropical vacation and being able to renew them on the beach like we had hoped, for our 10 yr "official" anniversary. We went to this 2nd hand shop, and wouldnt you know it-BABY GIRL STUFF GALORE!!!! AND....the BEST part-.50 each unless otherwise marked-and O MAN!!!! I bought about $5 worth of little overalls and the cutest little dress you ever saw (Kala found it) and then Auntie Renee bought the most delicate lacy crocheted sweater and its so teeny tiny-Im telling you-I CANNOT wait to play dress up with that little princess!!! She is going to have to be changed several times a day when I have her-just to take pics in everything we have for her.....I want pics of ALL the cute clothes-hope she likes flash~!!! LOL! THEN.....They had one of those baby type beds-that has the handle-kinda like a basinett but on the ground-sorta like a basket I guess-and you can carry it from one place to another with the baby in it-it also folds down for easy storage and has a place for batteries-so it can vibrate-my kids didnt care for that-but will see! I think Renee is right, we may not get much use for it-BUT....it was only $5 and I saw one at a garage sale JUST LIKE it-for $20 and it was in as good of shape...I think I may leave this in the livingroom, although-I really dont think she will ever be put down, sleeping or not-here anyway. I may give it to my mom so she has something for her place and since her apartment is smaller-she can fold it down and store it when Mackenzie is there!

We went and had a late lunch and then we went to Big K-so I could get a couple of Xmas presents put on layway......Thank goodness-now I can make pmts and I dont HAVE to have it picked up until the 22nd......So-that was done! YAY....Thanks to them for letting me do that too! That was pretty cool!

I got some really nice elephant ears and I am SO THANKFUL!!!! Thank you, thank you, THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!!!! I only had a few potatoes-but when I get more-I will bring more to you guys that love them....Mike is the only one in our house that loves them-and he cant eat that many!!! Thanks so much, Jan and Joe for the Elephant Ears...I am SO BLESSED!!! I WILL take pics as soon as they bloom. Mike was asking me where I was going to put them....so...

~~~Jan-FLOWER and PLANT EXPERT-Where is the best place-north, south, east, west? Direct sun or shade or both? How often to they need to be watered (that will be a factor of where I put them too-since we have a well and have to hook hose upon hose upon hose-LOL.... Let me know and I will go from there! You said 6 inches of hay or straw on them for the winter-it is soooo windy out here-I wonder if I should wait for spring to plant them? I dont want them to freeze....How big will they get this spring? Will they be the same size whether I plant them right now OR if I wait till spring? One last ?......The ones that are bigger bulb wise (a couple of them look like tree trunks-little ones-but BIG for a bulb) Is it that the bigger the bulb-the bigger the bloom when they do bloom? Ok-thats it, for today, anyway!!!

Lana-THANKS for the sz 12 jeans!!! I know I didnt tell you-cause I hadnt posted it yet-BUT....I did something VERY SCARY for a forever fat person-and I "cleaned out" my closet of ALL things too big-I do mean ALL of it-AND.....I was down to 2 pr of jeans! So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! It was so good to see you and I HAVE TO TELL YOU-You just look INCREDIBLE!!!! PERFECT! You look the best ever and I am sooooo glad you FEEL that way too-and keep on, keepin on-DO NOT let your mind play tricks on you over those 4#-cause your face looks so good-and you look renewed and happy!!! I think some of whats going on is that so many of us are scared right now for our economy, for our nation and for everything else!!! Its hard! I LOVE you and I was sooo glad to get my auntie Lana hugs and loves!

Sugars pics of her 2 trips were heavenly-very different, but packed with some of the most breath taking pics I have EVER SEEN!~! What a GORGEOUS FAMILY She has too! All the women/girls in the family are so beautiful, just like Sugar-and all of the guys are VERY handsome and distinguished, like Rick! They are such a cute, cute couple!!! I LOVED one picture, in particular, of Sug and Rick, walking hand in hand-on the beach-walking right towards the ocean water-waves etc-and so of course, its of their backs-but it truly, truly reminds me of a Kim Anderson pic-only with adults-you can FEEL THE LOVE in that picture-for real, even tho you cannot see their faces! They also had some of just them on the beach and FABULOUS! I was blessed to sit by Jan at the restuarant (that hasnt happened before AND right across from Sugar. I got to see the rings that their momma left them-and hear the stories behind them-and I LOVE stuff like that-I felt TRULY BLESSED to be amongst friends and hear the stories-you guys are so special and I cant believe I have known you guys for 2 yrs and you have been the most amazing support. Love you all to peices!~

Ok-I do NOT have time to do individual responses right now-I have to get out of here in the next couple of minutes...I will do my best to get back on here when I get home this afternoon! But, before I forget....

**Jan-the under clothing is called Under Armour.....Do NOT get the "name" brand-as it is double to triple that of the off brand-BUT.....same exact thing! Your JUST paying for the name AND...You DONT (well, maybe you do-LOL) need the scent blok stuff-LOL....just the warmth stuff!

I DO have a white 4 burner gas stove IN STORAGE and we are cleaning it out on Saturday-I WILL let you know about it, ok? I know Mike said that out of all the appliances-the stove and dryer are the only things we were going to sell-the fridge and deep freeze have been in there too long-and they will be going to the dump. So-After this weekend, I will let you know about it. K? Yes, the oven portion works as well.

Do you know when Decembers meeting is going to be? Are we going to do a Christmas party like last year? I was wondering what day so I can be all prepared-LOL.....Will it be the 22nd? Do you need help with planning it and such? I HAVE To come to Springfield that day anyway to get my layaway from Big K right up the road-so I HAVE to be there-I can help this time and it be a definite-unless something health wise happens and then I Will STILL make sure supplies and such make it through Renee or whomever.....Let me know....I think Sugar would help me.....LOL..Oh-and sorry I forgot the little albums I had for the goodie bags-I have 4 of them-and I KNEW I was forgetting something, but didnt know until last minute really that I could go for sure! I was lucky to remember the sweet potatoes and bags.....

Susan And Andy-so good to see you guys-you BOTH look really good!!! I will send an email later with info on MOBAR just in case Dr. H cant do it.....

Good Morning Jan and Everyone.
 Shiver me timbers {i watch to much spongebob} it is cold this morning. Says 24 here.Sam and Harley went out to potty didn't take them long to do their business and come straight back to the door wanting in LOL.
Nikki is off to school. Child was giving me fits about wearing her coat. It is big and bulky and i know she hates to wear it ,I am same way don't like heavy coats. But it will keep her warm.She said why do i have to wear this stupid coat .I said cuz it is cold and i'm the MOM enough said LOL.
 Made her wear jeans and a sweat shirt over her other shirt too. She likes to wear leggings,So needless to say she isn't happy with mom today.But i kissed her ,gave her a hug,told her i loved her and she hugged me said i love you too mom,So guess she isn't to aweful mad at me LOL.
Gail is off to work,Without his coverhauls. BRRRRRRR i am gonna look real good today and see if i can't find them. I looked upstairs yesterday but didn't see them but will have to look harder.They are here somewhere.I found his orange ones he wears hunting and his camo but not his carharts.I need to find his long johns too. Can't find nothing but Christmas stuff and it is everywhere LOL.
There is frost all over the ground this morning.Looks kinda pretty.Gail is hoping all the leaves will fall now.So he can get them all raked up.They get sucked up in the blowups motors if he dosen' get them raked ,So he is wanting them to fall so he can get it done and over. Will be starting to put up the blowups in a couple of weeks. As many as there are will take forever to set them all up and have them ready to start Thanksgiving night. I told him he better go buy a bungie cord thingy to wrap around the light meter,Cuz with all that will be lit up,blowed up on that night ,meter is liable to spin right off the pole.LOL
Told him he should probably buy a bunch of cheap sunglassesfor the neighbors too.They are gonna need them LOL.
Sounds like you all had a great time last night.Hopefully someday i will be able to join you on one of your meetings. I know it would would be amazing to meet you all.You are all just such wonderful careing people.

Peggy- I jope i didn't upset you by starting the evening eating post last night.If i did i'm sorry and i'll not do it again. But thought you might of been at the meeting and was busy.Didn't mean to step on your toes or anything.Was so sad to hear about the 10 year old and oh how sad his parents must be.My prayers are with them and with your friends family and their father that he will heal and be good as new. Prayers for you too.

Susie- You are doing fantastic on your diet. And to not have cheated is wonderful.You are a stronger woman than me. WTG. Soon it will all be so worth it.Keep up the great work.

Nene- Wtg on your roadtrip and all those yardsales. I love yard sales.When Laura and i go yardsaleing.Gail and Robert just cringe and when we get home sometimes with the van so full she can barely see to drive LOL they just shake their heads.LOL But we have a blast.
Bec- Wtg on your walking. I have really slacked off on walking since Laura has been sick. Don't like to walk alone and it's been so cold out.But she is home now and feeling lots better so hopefully we can start again. Good luck on just setting down and reading. I've been going to do that forever but never get it done and you my friend are always on the go. Maybe you can read as you work LOL.
I emailed Abby yesterday about my calcium to see how far apart i had to wait to take each dose.She said 2 hrs apart and to take it 4 xs a day . I'm like 4xs a day i can't even remember it twice half the time. But really need to try harder. And it just dawned on me yesterday that my iron that is perscribed by my dr has a plastic like coating on it. I think i heard or read somewhere that we can't take pills with that coating cuz we don't have the acid to dissolve it. So i'll email her again today and ask about that. I drive the poor woman nuts with questions LOL.
Angy- I know exactly what you are saying about feeling good for a few days then feeling bad. I am the same way.Guess it's just part of our healing process. Please Please Please take your ulcer meds. Don't want you getting sick again with that. And Get all your Vitamines in.Don't want you getting sick from vit defincency either.Are you doing the protein nectars? Syntrax has really good nectars.I ordered mine was 31 something includeing shipping and handling.The very cherry is good and i got a jug of roadside lemonade from someone off here that is pretty good also.I have a cataloge that has the synthrax 6 in it .it comes in lots of yummy flavors and is pretty cheap too.Well cheap for synthrax LOL.Hope your labs turn out ok.

Andy. Glad to hear you and Susan are feling so much better and was able to both be at the meeting last night.
Sandy- Hope you have a wonderful time with your grandaughter and your son.i bet you are really excited. I vote for the homeade cookies LOL.I loved doing that with my grandma.But i am sure she will love whatever you all do. And she will have a blast just being with her grandma.
Can you post your shepards pie recipe ? I want to make it for gail and it sounds good. But i'll not be useing deer burger LOL. I love deer loin but as for the rest of it ewwwwwww LOL. I cook my loins in a skillet with lots of chili powder on them they are wonderful and so moist and tender.
Looked at pics from the COF meeting last night.What a great looking group of people.Lots of smiles.
Janet- Haven't seen much outta you lately, I know you've been busy .Hope you are doing ok and things are kinda settling down.Hope your pain is getting better.

HUGS!!!!!!! Hey guys!!!!

Man I can not even begin to tell you all what a WONDERFUL time I had last night!!!!! I always knew the people on this board were amazing but last night hearing all those success stories I got to see first hand just how VERY amazing you are!!!

I was sooooo thrilled to faces and hugs with the friends I had already grown to love to so much!!
I just wish I had had all night to chat with everyone, time went by so fast, sniff!!

Janet     You give some the best hugs ever, everyone was right on about that, I don't know how you get all that personality, joy and love in that tiny body of yours!! I was so happy to get to meet you!!! Your photo album was AMAZING I cant believe how far you have come. You are just adorable were even in your before pics beautiful inside and out!!

Brenda Nutt  I was so happy to see you last night, I have been wanting to meet you very much since we live so close to each other!! I sure hope we can get together sometime soon and hang out!! You are a sweet, funny lady, I just loved you to bits!! You look great btw!!!

Andy   It was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely wife last night!! Wow you like Janet have lost so much I was truly inspired by you both and Miss Jean as well, AMAZING!!! You and Susan looked so good, I was so very happy to see you both feeling better!!!

Your hubby was a very nice man, one who looked like he sure knew the treasure he has in you, wise man!!! I sure don't see where you think that 1 pound you need to loose is coming from haha!! Susie  Man I was impressed with you last night!! You ROCK no cheats on that liquid diet, YOU GO GIRL!!! You are so much fun, i had a blast talking with you!!! Peggy  I am like Janet I wish so much I had known that was you earlier!! You are SO cute!!! They are right you need a new pic the old one is nice but you are so much more adorable in person!! You are just so bubbly, a real joy to be around, I cant imagine you not smiling!!! I am so happy you came last night!!! Thank you for standing next to me in the pic LIL your a brave woman!! I was going to try and hide behind you but don't think I could've even hid one leg behind your tiny self !! Lou  OMG you are just GORGEOUS!! I had such a great time chatting with you and your adorable mother!!!  Your mom was so very sweet to me, she reminded me very much of my own sweet mama! Jan   My sweet Angel, You were everything I knew you would be and then some!!! Sugar's friend was one, i sure hope she finds the help she needs I so understand her frustration!! I hope she will find a way yet to make this the success story she said she didn't have... yet!! The lady who said she worked at Walmart, so sorry bad I know I cant recall her name, she sure was a sweet lady to worry about her friend so much!! I sure hope this keep going well for her and look up for her friend, I hope to have goodies for her maybe after I get some booty outta my clothes LOL!!!


There was a beautiful girl sitting between Brenda Nutt and Lana last night, sorry name escapes me as well, she was such a doll!! She was so funny she worked hard to drag out that tiny bit of skin she has to show me she didn't have a totally killer figure haha!! I told her I wish I had to work that hard to find mine, she was brave to drag out such a small thing next to all my rolls LIL!! At any rate I loved meeting you too!!(she had on a red sweat shirt too)


The last lady I know said she was have hernia surgery soon, i cant recall her name either, I will be praying for her that all goes well, she sounded like she had been thru a lot, poor lady!! You are one tough cookie tho to have been thru all that and still looking so good and smiling very impressive!!! was great to meet you!!

Hubby and I are leaving at Odarkthirty in the morning for my scope, that way we don't have to wake his dad early, we talked to him last night and he wasn't feeling the best, so hate to impose even tho he said come ahead. We will spend the night Wednesday and do the hospital preop stuff on Thursday, MEET BEC!! and head home, so will probably see y'all either late Thursday night or sometime on Friday! Well let me tell you....I have never felt so welcome in my life as I did last night.  But it was such a blessing to finally put faces and personalities with names and yet there were so many I didn't get to meet simply because I didn't know exactly who they were.  Frankly, I tend to be a little uncomfortable (left over from the fat days) in large groups of people so I apologize to those of you I didn't meet.  And I figured since I keep trying to get you to come this way for Bec's big day, I could come down and meet you first.

Jan...you are such a cutie and you have such a heart for this group of people, here on the board and the COF group.  And as busy as you and Joe are you still find time to do this for all of us.  Thanks is not enough.

Sugar....you are such a treasure.  And have you ever taken a photography class?  Your composition is amazing.  Some of your photos were worth publishing, I'm serious.  They were breathtaking.  And thank you for the warm welcome, you have a such a sweet spirit.

Janet....I feel like such a fool...I waited until after you left before I asked Jan if that was you.   I was sitting next to Sugar at the restaurant!  Right across the table from you and didn't realize that was you!  (Your posting picture is misleading, now I realize that all this time I thought Lana was you in the picture)  I feel like a dope.  But I'll grab you the 19th if you come this way.

Jeanine...you are such a beautiful young lady.  It was a joy to meet you and share in your excitement in your upcoming surgery.  I cannot wait to see how well you do...and tell your hubby it's ok...you'll probably keep some of your "bootie".  (snicker-it's your mama's fault, remember?)

Well, I am really tired today and I can't get my head to stop hurting.  It may turn out to be a lazy day for me.  I'm not planning on going anywhere, maybe just do some work inside.  Then if the weather turns pretty later this week, I really need to do yard work.  I just wish I enjoyed it.  The yard had been neglected for about 10 years when we moved in and it's hard for me to work on it.  I manage to get about one bed cleaned up per year.  That really only leaves one side of the house to clean up and then I need to landscape fabric and mulch down.  One of these days I'll get around to it.

Okay, I need to get one more post done and get more coffee and get my rear in gear.  Love to you all.

My Begonias bit the dirt last night - froze off!  The plastic table cloth did not do the trick...  Oh well I will just start all over again next year.  I need to get my rear in gear and go get the rest of the tomatillas from the herb garden before they freeze off and the several other plants that have survived the last couple of nights.

Had to turn on the ventless gas space heater in the living room last night as I got really cold in my bedroom.  Both dogs were under the covers with me.  I call them my portable space heaters.

Had a very busy day at work today and am exhausted so am not even going for my walk this afternoon.  I finally ate some lunch after I got home - ham & beans and left my cornbread at work oh well.  Will cook a hamburger steak for supper and have some cottagecheese and fruit to go with it.  Nothing real strenous to fix or takes a lot of brain power to do.

Daughter finally called me from Japan and talked to me for 36 minutes @40cents a minute.  I have been emailing her at least once a week wanting her snail mail addy so I could send Jamie a birthday present and now it will be to late for it to get there so she is going to take him shopping from grandma for his birthday present and let him pick out what he wants.  Its hard to believe that he will be 4 years old on Nov. 8th.  I was visiting them in Rota, Spain when he was born.  I am never leaving the USA again is my pat answer to everyone who tells me I should go to japan to visit them.  Going over seas once was enough for me.  The only thing I would like to do is know how differant people will treat me on the plane since my wls and not having to have the seat belt extender.

I am back up to 141 pounds - YEAH!!!  Bellybutton is almost healed and I have not fallen in a couple of weeks.  Can start riding my bike again on the 3rd.  This not lifting anything has kept me from carring in wood and emptying ashes out of the stove and re-arranging my living room.  I want to get rid of the big entertainment center and just go with a low tv stand which will open the room up quite a bit.  I have until the start of deer season to get it done.

Will post the hambuger shepards pie tomorrow if I can find it or may have to dig deep in the cobwebs of my brain...

Just have to pop in here and say how glad I am that so many had such a good time at the COF meeting last night!

Renee ~ it was great to talk to you on the phone today!!! Thank you for sending me your pics.... I don't know how you did that but they are just the right size to print off for my collection....

I LOVED the one of you and Janet together! Oh shoot I loved them all!

Good Evening, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

It's been a very lazy day.  It was so cold out this morning that I have kept myself inside all day.  I think it's suppose to be a little warmer tomorrow.  I'm going to run into town to get a book from the local library.  It's called One Night with the King.  It's based on the book of Esther.  Bec gave me the second one is the series called The Hadassah Covenant.  Will read that one when I finish the first one.  I just love reading when the weather gets colder.  Something about a warm blanket and a good book on a cold winter's night!  Have any of you seen the movie "One Night with the King"?  If you haven't you really should.  It's a great one!  I have never read the book of Esther.  So I started reading it today.  It's only 10 chapters so I should be done in a couple of days.  Beth Moore has a new bible study on the Book of Esther.  I hope some ladies at our church will do this one.  Sounds great to me!

Jake and I cleaned out my bottom cabinets tonight.  Wow, do I have a lot of stuff!  This is going to be the perfect time to go thru and throw some things away and re-organize other things.  David and Josh (my stepson) will be taking out my old counter tops Thursday night.  Then I get my new granite tops on Friday!  I must say I am getting excited.  DH got my new 3 door fridge and my new two oven range in.  He still needs to put in my new microwave that goes above the stove.  My dishwasher is suppose to be in Thursday night.  He will probably get that put in sometime Friday night.  Then I hope to have Josh put in the back splash the weekend of the 6th.  Can't wait to have it all done!  We're also going to see about having my kitchen and living room painted.  We just painted in a little over a year ago, however, I have come to hate the color.  Want it changed.  Will see how much they charge to paint.  I don't mind painting  a small room, however, we had a heck of a time painting before.  We also need to repaint all the woodwork.  That is a job in and of itself.

Mom's WC doctor's appointment was a disappointment.  The doctor was nice enough, however, he told us it was for a medical evaluation.  He also said he had not received Mom's medical records yet.  What!?  The judge ordered this over 6 weeks ago!  Plus the judge said he was authorized to provide treatment.  She's already had a medical evaluation done.  As soon as we left I called Mom's attorney.  He said I was right!  He called the WC attorney and said he'd let me know what he found out.  I honestly feel that WC attorney should be held in contempt of court!  I re-read the letter from him and it did say for medical evaluation, however, the orders from the judge said for TREATMENT!  This battle has been going on for 4 years now.  I think he thought Mom would give up.  He has no idea, but my Mom would never give up and let him win!  She has suffered so pain from this injury.  This new WC Doctor said he wouldn't give her anything for pain until he was done with the evaluation!  So please keep her in your prayers. 

Well, NCIS is on.  I LOVE this show!  Gotta scoot.  Hope all of you have a wonderful evening!
