WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Beautiful day again but soon turning colder than cold. We didn’t get to the bikers Church, they don’t have services on Sunday morning. Only Sunday night , well we will try to go when we don’t have to be up early and going all day on Monday.

Today we spent it or I did digging Elephant Ears. Up …I hope I have enough for everyone at the meeting tomorrow night, please bring you a wal mart bag to put what you want in.i will just have them in a box and you can get how ever many you want, ok?

Some are little but most of them are pretty good size…I left the main stem of them and only got the ones that are around the edges . still have about 6 more to do here. But wait till the frost gets them which will be tonight or tomorrow ..,cant believe it is going to get that cold this early but it has done it before.

Next Sunday we are doing a toys for Tots run on bikes with a bunch..,.should be fun . I have to go get some toys of some kind they said no stuffed animals..

 

We have a full day of it for Monday, have to have the truck inspected and tagged, have to go by the Alltel store and have them help me with something with the internet card,

It is telling me that there is an argument that is unresolved , don’t know who is fighting but hope they can find out and come some sort of agreement lol then I have to go to wal mart and get some more protein bars and also pick up some things for my newbies gift bags that I give out at their first meeting. I have a feeling we might have several newbies at the meeting tonight, Ive got 3 bags done up but thinking there might be more ..hope so

Im going to take my camera and have Joe or someone to take a picture of all of us that are there to post so everyone can see all of us...like Angie did at

Her meeting , I thought that was neet Angie,..

 

Went to open up the tulle that Kim bought for me to make Mikaela a tutu out of and it is only 4 inches wide ...so that is out. Will have to look for something tomorrow for her to wear already made to be a ballet dancer...or find some netting or something and fix it for her.

 

Don’t forget the Ci.rcle of Friends meeting tonight. I hope all of you can come...

It is going to be cold and we will need some nice warm clothes for the night is over...Joe and I wont be on our bike this time cause we have so much to do before hand cant go back and get the bike, besides I think I would freeze to death ...got to get some warmer underwear... may go to bass pro today while in town and check out the underwear that Janet was talking about...

 

 

 

 

TAMMY-AMMY:::::: boy you sure were busy, sounds like my days, I just don’t know how we can stay so busy, seems like we are more busy and work harder than we ever did when we worked…now that doesn’t make sense…I guess a lot of the extra stuff we do now we never did before….like making the yard pretty and all my flowers. Before we mowed and I would have some pots of flowers on the porch and some things that came up on their own like iris , tulips,and lillys but that was about it..

The combined birthday party sounds like a real good idea…do one instead of 3 makes sense to me and yummy on the cheesecake , do you make it with splenda?

What is cream cheese corn?? Sounds good…

SUGAR::::::: sounds like you got a lot done in your hobby room…will be getting cold in there before long,,,you all need to have some good heat in there for the winter.

Doesn’t Calvary have a place you can store stuff like the party decorations? You spend a lot of money on that stuff , too much to just toss away…for sure.

If you get your other ref. working how much would you want for your side by side?

I would be interested in it for Andy and Susans house and put the little one that we have over there back in the trailer…if we ever go to rent the trailer out for week ends we will have to have a ref there

While im thinking of it anyone have a good white gas cook stove? The one in the trailer is ok but the oven doesn’t work...

Have a great day today and if you have any flowers in pots or anything outside you might sit them in the garage for the next couple of days. We will have lots more pretty weather before it gets really bad ,so you will be able to enjoy them more .

 

 

 

BEC::::::::: you are so busy, do you think you are more so now than before surgery? I know you did a lot before surgery too. I guess all of that walking is extra…

Sorry I haven’t answered any of yours and others emails mine is messed up right now but will catch up with it all soon…am anxious to try your apple butter…

I bought me one of the peeler, corers, slicers too the other day…found one on sale and thought hey im getting that…we plan on planting some apple trees and other fruit trees too this year and hopefully within a few years we will have fruit .

 

Well of course everyother day we get up around 7am but we neither one woke up till almost 9:30 so was too late to go to the bikers church, was anxious to go too.

We will go by there this week sometime and see what the times are and if there is a number to call on there.

Have weighed again? Or did you decide to not weigh but on certain dates? You did measure before you had surgery didn’t you? If not do it now so you can tell when you have stalls…if you still haven’t lost anynmore up your water and or your protein .

Everyone is so different that it is really hard to say what to do…but with all the walking you are doing you are getting a lot of exercise…

SUSIE::::::do you know how to use the maps you can find on the computer?  Go on google .com and put in maps and it will give you a list places..google has one too

. click on driving directions….then put in your home address and the address of the library…and will give you step by step directions.  I know that if you come in on 65 going south exit at James River to the right or west till you come to Campbell and exit south, the second traffic light you will turn right and the road Ts you will turn right and go up the hill and there is the Library. We will be in the first room on the left…

Hope that helps but go ahead and get those directions from google or where ever and you will have street names and all. Ok? If you want my phone number message me on here and I will get it to you ok? That way if you get lost Joe can come find you and lead you in ok? Im anxious to meet you and give you a big ole hug..

 

 

 

SANDY:::::::: oh I bet you are a great cook, seems like most people that got fat were good cooks, just liked to eat their own cooking too much. Lol    sounds like your son knows exactly what he likes to eat that you use to make for him , some of those thing that they remember are things that we did to stretch the budget back then. They didn’t know anything about that just that it reminds them of when they were kids at home with no cares or problems.

That will be fun to have the one on one girl time with granddaughter. What do you plan on doing just the two of you girls? What ever it is it will be fun I bet...

 

 

 

 

DEBBIE  D:::::: wow now that is what I call shopping , go to buy a filter and wind up with all new applicances....lol that sounds like fun for sure. You will love your 3 door frig..i have one and it is amazing I love it ..and I really like the freezer in the bottom...the drawer is really big and holds a lot.

I know your stepdaughter will be pleased to get your old stuff too. And that is great about your tile. You are going to have the kitchen tore up for awhile huh?

Will be praying for your mother that she get the care she needs and gets to feeling better. That is sad that the wc people don’t take care of her.

Will pray that someone there have a change of mind about her problems...

Good Morning Y'all

Bbbbrrrrrrrrr  I had to get outta bed and turn some heat on, its cccoooooolllllddddd,  guess it got down to near freezing like they said it might,  woke up and my nose was like an ice burg  lol so thought i'd better get up and turn a lil heat on and see whats up on here real quick.  Was so nice yesterday,  I got home from church and had a quick lunch then sat down for a min and bam I was out for a couple hours lol  wasnt really tired but guess I must of been or something lol. Im really looking forward to this week,  we have NO appointments all week, only thing we are doing this week is going to the group tonight, the rest of the week we are not going any where at all lol gonna finally get some things done around here since Im finally feeling good again.  Just the last day or so the swelling in my leg and soreness has pretty much gone finally.  Our doctors appointments last week pretty much all came out good,  my b/p is down to normal now, w00t w00t!! Im feeling good again,  I still have a bit of the weight I gained in the hospital to get rid of,  I still cant believe I gained like 14 lbs in that hospital,  I only had one or two meals the whole time I was in,  they really must of pumped me with fluids, ai yi yi. 

Jan I dunno what time you and Joe are leaving but if your up to walking this morning im more then ready, if you guys are leaving early im gonna start out slow again,  I should be ok by myself cuz im feeling alot better, gonna have to walk brisk tho to keep warm  lol.  If ya need us to carry anything with us to the group tonight let us know,  i have that huge trunk if ya have something that ya dont want to blow outta ya truck. 

Well Im gonna get this posted and crawl back under the blanket for an hour or so,  y'all have a warm blessed day.  Hope to see alot of ya tonight at the group!!!

Good Monday Morning Missouri.....

Boy did that wind blow yesterday and it was a COLD wind!  I did get some fall work done finally... Paul helped me empty all my pots and get them over to be washed.... will wait till a warmer day for that for sure... I think there is to be one closer to the end of the week...  I transplanted several plants and got them in the house.

Walked 3 miles yesterday all at one time.... my back is kicking a fit again I'm sure it does not like all the activity... but dang!  I've got things to do! ~ha

Today I have to tend to some things in the house.... dishes, laundry, make some phone calls, pay a couple bills.... just plain ole life.

Mimi ~ Hope you get to visit the biker church soon and you like it.  I am so glad to hear Michele is doing well..... boy has she had the trouble with that little car... I'm sure she will be glad when it gets real cold that she got the new battery though... I'm trust the Lord that we are going to continue to see even more awesome things coming in her life!

Sugar ~ I need to get inspired by you and get up there in my "upper room" and get it  straightened again....  it is 10 x 30 and chucked full!  It's not REAL bad messy but I need to give it some attention....

Susie ~ Boy oh Boy isn't it the truth how many visual things you can see of delicious looking food when you can't have it!  I know you are going to be just fine and I'm so proud of you for not cheating!  you will even be more proud of yourself!  Keep up the good work! 

Shannon ~ I'm so glad you are going to get to see your granddaughter!  I hope you enjoy her ever so much while she is there!

Deb Darl'n ~ ALL NEW APPLIANCES!!! WOW  That kitchen is going to be "drop dead gorgeous" ~tee hee  I only sent you over there for one! ~tee hee  I'm sure your step daughter is simply thrilled about getting your other appliances...

Will be praying that your mom finds the help she needs.  Also praying that the new med the doc put you on is going to help and give you the added strength you need.  I will be interested to know what Dr. H. says too about normal levels for WLS patients.

Dear friend... you were too kind about your stay with me and you weren't a party pooper... it was 11:00 p.m. when we went to bed.  I'm glad you enjoyed your time with me as I wanted to show you how much all you did for me and all those appointments you went to with me ... etc. etc. etc. it all meant so very much!  You have been just as much a blessing to me!

{{{Deb}}} ~ Am praying things will start looking better for you!  Did I tell you when we got our wal~nuts hulled in the cement mixer we had two 5 gallon buckets of "hulled" nuts?  Boy am I going to have my work cut out for me!  Sounds like you had a whole bunch more nuts fall?  I'm glad your pastors family got some too!  I will have to get busy picking them out here soon...  Those hickory nuts are wonderful!

Am going to try and get another crock pot full of apple butter going today or tomorrow... and maybe Wednesday make Paul the apple pie.

And some time this week I am going to just set down and do nothing!  Maybe read a book!  Will see if THAT happens.... it still takes me a good part of the day to keep this routine going.... seems like I am always having to remember to do something..... drink, vits, eat, shake.... man will I ever get a groove?  In no time I am behind on the drinking if I don't keep that timer on my neck all the time! 

It is to be down to 27 here tonight brrrrrr that is cold and I won't even have Paul to put my cold feet on! shucks!

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the COF meeting tonight!  I sure wish I could be there but will be so happy to see the ones of you that can come on the 19th!!!

Starting day five of liquids. Not liking it much. I have been so tempted at times and then other times I am very Strong. I haven't slipped up but I have thought about it. I still have a headache but its not as bad as before and Tylenol takes care of it. I will be glad when it goes away. It may be sinus and not related to diet. Who knows. Nine days and a wake up to go. Can't wait to see the pounds fall off and secretly being able to eat something again. I am looking forward to that one bite.See you all tonight.

Good morning everyone..
We had a wonderful few days , we didn't care for the unclaimed baggage place, I didn't buy anything there.so we just kept going and seeing the beautiful colors down in Al. and Tn.

We drove over 1000 miles, just garage sales and anything else we wanted to do, even in cauthersville for a hours stop..lol

Jan you know how Linda snores, well we got separate rooms the second night..she is calling today to get appointment for sleep test I told her it was that or I could still give her a good spanking..lol..she is so good to me.

I am ready to start decorating  for Christmas, I have to put 2 trees up, and I got some beautiful pale green dec. at Cracker Barrel, so the white tree will be all pale green, and the other will be a dukes mixture..lol  I also do allot of dec. for the city at different seasons of the year, West Plains  Welcome Center..

Good Morning Everyone!!!! Sorry I haven’t really posted much lately.  I tell you, one day I feel great the next I feel like death.  I’m trying to get all of my stuff done on the days I actually feel decent & it’s not enough time for me.

 

My tummy’s been hurting for the past few days, kinda like my ulcer is trying to come back. (yes I’ve been slacking on those meds, so I guess it serves me right) but I’ve started taking them right again & yesterday & this morning it is feeling better, so hopefully I caught it before it gets too bad again.  I sure don’t need that to start bleeding again.

 

My mom & dad got home yesterday from camping.  Sure was glad to see them.  They were only gone for a couple of months this time, but I sure did miss them.  We went there last night for supper.  They had pork chops, I had Italian Chicken with mashed potatoes & green beans.  YUMMY!!!   I’ve tried pork a couple of times now & it won’t stay down (yeah, I know it’s still early for pork, but boy it smelled so good).  Found out some VERY exciting stuff about my sister, can’t get into that right now, but WOW!!!  If things work out, our whole family is gonna be sooooooo flipping happy!!!  She is going through so much right now.  I really didn’t know the extent of it until last night while talking to my dad.

 

Burrrrrrrr!  Dad said it was supposed to get cold, but dummy me didn’****ch the weather to see just how cold.  Woke up this morning like an ice cube.  We don’t have any propane yet, I have to call them today & order some.

 

I have been stuck at 198 lbs,  I woke up this morning & weighed & was down to 196 again.   Hopefully my stall is moving on & my scales will start moving too.  Cross your fingers.  My hair is still coming out like there’s no tomorrow.  I try not to wa**** as often, I know that’s gross, but Lord I lose A LOT when I wa****  I am only 11 wks out tomorrow.  Everyone says the hair loss usually starts at 3 mo, I hope it doesn’t get worse at that time if it does I will definitely have to start knitting hats.  I was joking about that before, but dang, if it keeps up I just might have to really make some.

 

I am going to try to get into the Dr. tomorrow to get my 3 mo labs done.  That’s kinda scary because I haven’t taken my vitamins regularly.  Hopefully it’s not too bad.  Like I said earlier, I have started taking all my meds good again, but I’m sure it’s too late to make a difference on this set of labs.

 

Deb (Pooh)  please tell Laura that I’m thinking about & praying for her.  I know how those ulcers are & they suck!!!  Give her a hug for me.

 

Andy, I am SO glad you are doing better.  You scared us mister!!!  lol

Morning...

And is it cold....I am so not ready for the cold.  I get so cold, don't we all?  I didn't sleep well (again) and have a whopper of a headache and too much to do today.  And most of it's not as fun as I would like.  I should have fun later tonight tho if everything goes as planned.  Our windows are supposed to get measured today, so I get to have him traipsing thru the house.  At least it will be done and I can quit thinking about it.  They should get here after Christmas...I can't wait.  These windows are so old and drafty, I pay a lot to heat and cool the yard!

There is a sweet girl at church who had a tragic weekend.  Her 10 year old nephew who was in seemingly perfect health came home from school Friday morning with slight sinus issues.  He passed out that afternoon and they took him to the hospital to be checked out.  He was declared brain dead and taken off of life support Saturday.  He had an aggressive brain tumor that took him before they even knew it was there.  My heart just breaks for that family.  He had no symptoms and now he's gone.  Just a reminder to treasure every day because only the Lord knows.  The only consolation is that he didn't have to suffer...but I'm sure that is no help for his parents.  Please remember them in your prayers.

Then I found out last night that one of my closest friend's father had a horrible accident and is in the hospital.  He was helping haul a washing machine up some stairs and they didn't strap it to the dolly.  Of course it shifted, he tried to catch it and then he fell down the whole flight, landed on the concrete and the washer landed on him.  He is having brain bleeds and was in ICU for a couple of days.  They have him in the stroke unit and are going to watch him for a few more.  He is so blessed not to have died.  There is a huge gash in his head and he can't move without getting sick.  Remember them also, please.

Welp, I really need to get this cat off my lap and get my work started.  I'm thinking of all of you and the busy days each of you have.

Good Morning Jan and Everyone.
 WOW it is chilly this morning. But as our pastor says it is a beautiful day because it is a day that God has made. So i will try not to complain about the COLD to much LOL.
 Just talked to Laura she will be coming home this afternoon. She sounds a 100% better than she did 3 days ago.She was in so much pain ,I am glad they found something to help her.
 Gail is off to work.I feel for him haveing to be out there in the cold. Plus i put away his coverhauls this summer and now can't find them. I always put things where i will know where they are then can't find them LOL.Took me all morning to find the a/c cover that i had put up LOL.
 Called pharmacy and it is ok for me to give Nikki the musinex childrens cough expectrant. She takes seroquil so wanted to make sure it was ok before i gave it to her. Her cough is getting bad. Sounds like it is really getting in her lungs. May end up haveing to take her to the dr.But will try the cough med first see if that will break it up.
 Sure am thankful we have wood heat. It feels so good when it is cold out.But it kinda spoils you.If i go anywhere where they have natural gas heat or propane i freeze. 
 Boy the wind sure was strong yesterday. It blew so hard it blew Fuzzybutts condo {doghouse} down the hill.Gail went and got it Fuzzybut is standing there wondering what just happened , Gail brings it back tells him to get in it,He gives Gail a look like if it's gonna do that i ain't gettin in LOL.
 I need to figure out something to fix for supper with hamburger besides chili,spagetti,or meatloaf. LOL. Any suggestions. or maybe i'll just fix cubesteaks smothered in cream of mushroom makes them really tender.
Man my knees are killing me today. If it ain't one thing that hurts it's something else.But am thankful for the pain cuz that means i'm alive LOL.Could always be worse.
Well i'm off to fix a peice of toast and take a pain pill.Gotta have something in the tummy or they make me feel icky.

Oh Do we need to take the flu and pneumonia shots? I have never done them before not even when i worked in the nurseing home.

What will I do with my 7 year old Grandaughter?  Maybe go shopping, to the movies, make cookies from scratch or get out the old pic albums.  I am just excited to get to spend the one on one time with her!

My begonias did not freeze last night - I forgot to cover them so I am going to do that when I get off of here. 

Sis left for Columbia last night and she started work at the VA today.  She will be staying with a friend near Columbia then come home on weekends until she starts her regular schedule.   PTL that she got a job!!!

Had to start the fire in the stove up from scratch in the great room as I had a meeting after work and it was out by the time I got home.  I had to dig out some dryer lint to help it along.  That is a great fire starter when you need to have something.  I just turn the butane torch on it and the kindling.  I also like to put some kind of soup in a big pot and let it simmer on top of the stove on the days I am off.  You just can't beat the wood heat.

Sounds like everyone is trying to stay warm so stay safe.
