vertical seeve

I noticed many of you had dr. hornbostel.  I live in Missouri also and am looking into it as  a 41 bmi so one step surgery and it seems to have a lot less complications. ie no malabsorption or intestinal blockage problems (these scare me a lot).  Have any of you had this surgery?  Are you glad you picked it instead of RNY or not.  do you know how much it would be self-pay through dr. h.  I have insurance that would cover RNY if I jump through a lot of hoops but not the sleeve.  It just might be worth paying out of pocket though if it's a better surgery for me.

I am pre op for r n y but do know someone who had vsg and they are happy. I would call his office and speak with someone. Better yet go to his siminar in Sedalia. You will learn a lot and I am sure you can get your answers there. I first wanted lap band but changed my mind because of my yoyo diet history. Do your research before you decide. Hope you get your answers.

Missy....Hi...I had the VGS in June 2007 and have done great with it....I used Dr. Stephen Scott and when I went back for my 1 year check up this year in June the told me that he expects his RNY's to loose at least 60% by their year check up and I had lost 55% with my VGS....I was on cloud nine lol lol.....
I had mine done on Mo Medicad  and I hear they stop paying for it now....So Im not sure if insurances are still covering it or not and do not know what it costs out of pocket....You can find out any info you need to know when you attend your seminar.... I had vsg Aug 17th 07  Weight 270 /  258 / 157 now .   I am stuck on my weight right now but if I don't loose anymore I will be happy I would like to loose somemore but what ever I am fine if I don't.  I need some plastic surgery  , then I may- be happy.  Always sometime we want . hun ?

I paid cash $11,080.00   in Pontiac Mi  Dr. Pleatman  .  It was going to be like $ 30,000.00 in Columbia  if they would have had a cash price but they didn't have one at that time don't know if they do now or not .   You can buy alot of gas and pay Motel for week for that so my husband and I went down there and I have no regrets Dr. Pleatman knows what he is doing .
