My Hair

Just got out of the shower and brushed my hair and OMG .I had 5 handfulls outta the brush plus each time i run my hand down the length of my hair i would get a hand full of hair. At this rate i'm gonna be bald  soon. Any suggestions?

yep dont worry it will come back in and is probably doing so right now if you could see your scalp you would probably see lots of little tiny short hairs comeing in....but in the meantime you need to up the protein level to at least 80 mg daily and if yotur hair is really long, you might think of getting your hair cut ....no amount of new shampoos etc will help ...since hair is protein same as nails are...and once it comes out of your scalp it is dead....that is why you can pinch hair strands and no feeling ...same with nails you can cut either one and it doesnt hurt or bleed..lol
wouldnt that be a mess if it did...
we have all went thru the hair loss stage and it will be over with soon so dont stress. you seem to be going thru it earlier than some but will fix itself....love you dont stress.

 I know its early i wo'nt be 3 months out till  Oct 11th.But none the less its falling out bad. My hair is down to my butt,i keep it pulled up in a ponytail.And i really don't wanna get it cut mainly for religious reasons.My nails are growing like crazy.Go figure. Least i'll have finger nails to scratch my bald head with LOL.

I upped the protien and all but mine still fell out at alarming rates until my body decided it was going to be okay and then it started coming back in! That is the fun part when you have these little hairs about 1" long standing up all over your head! I didnt cut mine and it was alright! It looked long and straggly for awhile but I survived. It will all turn out alright. Just one of the many prices we pay for the sucess of the surgery.

Hey Deb!   I'm going to be bald right there with you.  We'll have to have a sock cap knitting party after our next Dr. visit.  lol   Hopefully it doesn't get that bad, but at the rate it's comming out, it makes you wonder.

I'll just have to watch you knit cuz i'm clueless about how to do it LOL. I agree on how fast it is coming out,and it was like it just started overnight. I took a shower,brushing hair and i'm like you have got to be kidding me.I could not believe how much was coming out.Have you heard from Jen?

I'm nearly 4 months out and I'm seeing more of m scalp in the front than I want to.  My hair was already kind of thin.   I used Nioxin shampoo for months but didn't see my hair getting thicker.  Now I'm using Fat shampoo.....yes it's called F-A-T shampoo, conditioner, etc.  It's ain't workin'. 

My hair is very short.  I'm thinking maybe I'll go spikey.  Then, there's always a wig but they are expensive.

I get in a minimum of 60 grams of protein a day but maybe I should up it.
