NSV sort of
My hubby didn't think it was much of a victory but I like to see the bright side of things. And a year ago, this wouldn't have been possible!
I posted a week ago that I got a horse. He is a young horse and not broke but I have been working with him and have been on him a few times. He has done really well with the few trips around the pasture.
Well, last night I didn't do my ground work first due to limited daylight. I saddled him, walked him around for awhile and then climbed on (a feet not possible a year ago). We did fine in the dry lot so I decided to ove out to the pasture. We did fine the first minute or so and then WHAM!!! off I went.
He bucked and just as I figured out what was going on, he bucked again and bounced me off. Hubby says I got about 8 feet of air before I hit the ground.
So, as hubby and I are sitting in the urgent care to have my leg x-rayed, hubby was determined it was broke, I just laughed and proclaimed it a NSV as this time last year sitting in the urgent care after being bucked off would not have been possible as I wouldn't have been able to climb on the horse! LOL
Needless to say, my leg is not broke, just all the muscles are severly pulled. I am home today from work with it elevated, on ibuprofen to swelling and on pain killers. Having to use a cane to move around and it is bruised and swollen.
So, I count it as a NSV. I was able to get on the horse, get bucked off and get up and walk off.
