NEED PRAYERS COMING THIS WAY FOR JOE

 Joe had a mylegram done this morning , that is a cat scan with dye injected into your spinal column.......he seemed to be ok he went to lay down as soon as we got home and he had a huge gran mal seizure....he was thrashing and the whole bit...then tried to get up and fell...anyway i called 911 the seizure lasted about 6 minutes  he came out of the worse of it about the time they got here. but he still was very disoriented and aggitated. scared the pee-wadding out of me.
when they ask him if he wanted to go to the hospital he told them no so they couldnt take him because by the time they ask him he was awake and alert. but i really think he should have gone. he is now asleep again after i made him drink another big glass of mtn dew. (he is suppose to drink caffinee drinks)  so just pray that that was a one time deal and he wont do that anymore ok? love you all thanks.

That would of scared the pee outta me too. Hope he done with that and nothing more happens, Prayers going up for Joe and for you.

Well sis, what in the world??? Did they tell you that could be part of the complications? I sure hadnt heard that! I will definately pray for him and for you. How long before the ambulance got to you?

Wow, that would be very scary!  I will keep praying for him (and you).  Does he have a history of seizures?  I'm with you, wish he had gone to the hospital.  Men!

no he doesnt have a history of seizures....had what i said was one long time ago right after he got home from hospital after his accident in 99 but they tested him and said he had anxiety attack but this today was a seizure...no seizures arent suppose to be a side effect of the dye but everyone reacts differently to it. and i was on the alert for him to have some sort of reaction, he seems to do so with everything. ....that is the reason i dont like going anywhere and leaving him at home...no telling what he will do or happen to him....

gosh, that would scare me too Jan.  Did you call the dr?  Keep a  close eye on him.  I would be concerned about him having dye again.  Just a concerned nurse and friend here!!!  Colette
