There is a shopping area in Lee's Summit that has a lot of good shops (Borders, Marshall's(I think), Target, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, Kohl's and so on) and I'm sure there a lot on the KS side, too, but I'm not as familiar with those. But I'm sure I can research for you.
Hey, I think that is a great idea if you are sure you are up to it and want to do it....I love the idea of being all together in someones home because it is so much more personal! So could we at least bring dessert or something? I can make and bring my sugar free pecan pie and Im sure others would offer. Please let us do something for it, okay? Let me know! I will be bringing my van and will have lots of room in the back end.
I love to entertain too so I know how you feel about having us all over. But please dont go to a bunch of trouble, cause we want to be able to have you sit with us and be able to enjoy your company.

Follow 71 North to 58 Hwy (Belton exit) turn east and I'm just a ways down the road. If you all decide to come, you'll be able to get here no problem. And it's fairly easy to get to our doc....it's all highway just a little ways over there. I usually allow 45 minutes because I hate to drive in any kind of traffic and I like to be early.
Oh yeah peggy...thats the same place..lol I love going there compared to the Independance mall...way too many people over that way. I do go sometimes to go to the big craft stores Clairs, but thats about it. My daughter will go with me, just so that we can eat at Carabas (sp) we love there food. Is there a Marshalls there now? Its been awhile since Ive been up that way. Oh well guess Ill find out on Friday on my way home to TX to my mom and grandma. I have to drive right by there to catch 470.

I sure would bring some from my way if they didn't mind going to my dr. appointment or being dropped off till I got back..... and we would be late getting home as you all will most likely..... my appt. isn't till 4:15 in the afternoon.
I am bringing a surprise ~ don't you love surprises! I just LOVE surprises!..... and Debbie Darl'n is going to help me with it this week when she comes! I'm excited about it.... my sis (my real blood sis that is) and I discussed it a couple of weeks ago and came up with this, we are always doing some type of "project".... I hope it will be fun for all of you.
I just blesses me so that you all are coming to help me celebrate my accomplishments!!!! It sure has been a long long journey and the weight is NOT just "falling" off of me but I'm so so so happy!
I simply can't wait to see how that pie is...... it is one of my favorite holiday treats and will become a staple in my house for the holidays... you know one that goes in "the keeper" cookbook! ~ha
I think Jeanine said she would only be 5 days out of surgery by that date oh I would so so so love for her to come too but man I sure would understand if she couldn't! I hurt so bad still at 5 days out.
What about Andrew and Susan? They could ride up with Mimi your place huh? Don't know if they would want to go but I would LOVE to meet them! Poor ole Andrew might not want to spend the day with a bunch of kackling ole hens! ~tee hee
