Good Friday Morning to you, Peeps~
Our Jan and Joe must be somewhere that she cannot connect to wi-fi~....I told Jan that if I got on while she was gone and she hadnt posted, that I would do it for her (Im sure she had other volunteers as well!). Hopefully, there arent a few of us doing it at the same time right now. I have really slow dial up and it takes me FOREVER to get a post done....so, if your posting the Whats Happening at the same time-I dont mean to step on any toes... I know that a few of us has done that in the past-LOL!~
~~Where is everybody? Only 3 posters yesterday! Thank goodness Tammy-Ammy is back, or there just would have been Deb and I....I hope and pray everything is okay. LET US KNOW YOUR OKAY GUYS! We were already missing Sugar from her trip to the mountains, Bec is out of town, Sheila had her surgery and is recovering, Andy isnt feeling well, and then Lou and Renee had their trip to Columbia to get their drains out and their one week check up. Prayers for everyones health and travelers mercy are going out for everyone today (as it did yesterday too) and hope your all okay!!!
Lynette, Jeanine, Peggy, Shannon, Sherr and the other regulars-WHERE ARE YOU???? U GUYS OK? Your GROUNDED if you dont post an update and let us know whats going on!!! You HAVE to at least pop in and say.....Im okay-talk to you later...Whew-they are okay....LOL....Now, hit the reply button and type some words and then you can go about your business.....
I am SO EXCITED that tonite is date night with my hubby!! You dont even know how long its been since we have had "date" night. Heck, is it a sign of age, that the thought of sitting on the couch, renting a movie-and just getting take out sounds good? I bet it is!!! We have to be home early, because my great hunter is going hunting in the morning. He hunts with a cross bow....I have to say that he is GOOD....We have several arrows that are piggy backed-of course, up on the wall for display. Thats where one arrow-goes through the end of another arrow. Im lucky to hit the target with that thing! When I was HUGE-about a yr before surgery, Mike was trying to teach me how to target shoot with it.....I was so big, that I couldnt see through the scope on it unless my face was butted up against the thingy (just like a rifle, where it butts up against your shoulder-and the word has just escaped me)...ANYWAYS....I pulled that trigger-and the next thing I knew, I was laying 6 inches away from the crossbow, crying, my face is all bloody....I lost a tooth and 2 other teeth went through the front of my face....Heck, I DIDNT EVEN THINK IT WOULD HURT ME!!! (DUH) Mike didnt think I would leave my face on it!!! He didnt understand that I COULDNT SEE-thats how freaking big I was! Now, I can practice with it and not even touch my face!! What a difference losing 270# makes, huh?? Did anyone see that its suppose to be like 37 degrees on Saturday morning? DANG! I guess the boys-plus our SIL will be hauling wood to the porch this weekend. The pile is on the other side of the driveway, but we need to get the area on both sides of my door cleaned off-so that they can get the wood up here where its easy to get to. Gonna have to order propane too. Wish the fireplace would heat the whole house, but it sure doesnt!!! Its not ducted! Darn it. With the propane prices so high-its going to cost about $600 a month to heat this house!!!
The boys want Mike and I to dress up for Holloween while we are walking them around. They wanted us to be their prisoners. They are pirates. Mike said he would be a pirate too-so I HAVE to be HIS prisoner (wink wink!!!) IF we do, I will take pics and get them posted. Not sure how I will do that now that Stephanie isnt talking to me.
Megan is really starting to show now! She has lost so much weight, that she is STILL 7# UNDER her starting pregnancy weight! Her doc is starting to get concerned and has been stressing to her about fluids, fluids, fluids-she HATES being around me, because I am CONSTANTLY getting her milk or water and putting it in front of her and giving her 15 minutes to drink it....(and Im watching you-princess, so you BETTER fini**** all-LOL) I think she is showing even more so because she is vertically challenged. Its so cute though. I cannot even keep my hands off her belly when she walks by me! I CANT WAIT to feel the baby moving!!! I cant wait to dress her in some of the outfits we have for her-they are SO ADORABLE!!! I will be changing her like 10 times a day to ensure that she gets to wear everything while she is around nana!!! Megan asked me if I will stay with her for a week or two when the baby is born....Ohhhhh-you betcha. As long as I wont be in the way...Lets start with a couple of days and then Aaron wont get too sick of me. THEN....if you need me to help out some more-I can always come back-and between my mom and Mikes adopted mom (who works where Megan lives) she will have plenty of grandma experience and good mom stuff ALL around her!!! Man, she asked ME....so-I guess I can give up a couple of days to help her rest and all of that (breaks my heart) I dont know if I can handle holding that precious baby that much!!! (LOL-Im ALL OVER THAT ONE....) good thing Megan is breast feeding, or I may hold her non stop!!! I have had dreams about her for a week now-and if she looks so breath taking!! She will never be put down!!! She is just simply the best thing to happen to me, personally....gives me something to look forward to! Now, if her mommy could just feel better so she could enjoy her pregnancy-which has YET to happen!! I dont think that poor kid has had a whole week so far where she hasnt been sick (if you put ALL the days together since she got pregnant, I mean) I can tell you this-I am DEFINITELY going to need another memory card for my camera-AT LEAST 2 gb! At least! And that dinky scrapbook (which is big-LOL) isnt going to cut it for this nana! Megan just shook her head when I started showing her the collection of stuff I had here. Like the little tiniest crocks you ever saw!! They look like they go on a doll, they are so tiny!! Jon picked pink with purple tie dye running through it-and I got the ones, one size down that are pure pink-like 3 inches long, if you can imagine!!! THEN...I bought the CUTEST jean dress-again, the size of a doll-and on the front of the dress-in the corner, there are 3 flowers-one pink, one yellow and one blue......AND it zips in the back.....well, Renee went somewhere and found these little jean shoes-like mary janes-and they have this little fringe across the very top-and guess what? Those 3 colored flowers on those shoes!!!! THEY ARE SO ADORABLE-thats gonna be a picture waiting-thats for sure!!! I got the tiniest little black rain boots-go half way up the calf-black shiny and they have colored daisies in the corner of them too-this is SO AWESOME! They just simply have the cutest stuff now! Megan got the tiniest little bikini (comes together at the sides tho) of a lady bag theme-and it had like a little robey type cover up to it.....Tiniest bathing suit I have ever seen!!! When I was going through the baby stuff-I pulled out a little pool, shaped like a duck, inflattable-but biggest enough for us adults to be in there with her (but only like 2 of us besides her) and Megan was like - MOM-look outside....what? She is like-cant Mackenzie get in YOUR POOL? well, yeah-BUT...She wont be nearly as overwhelmed in this little, cute, duckie pool. I will sit in there with her-Im small enough now... I wouldnt have pre-op, I can tell you that!!! I bought her one of those big saucer looking floaties that have the holes for legs-and this one, there is NO WAY she can fall out...its a big saucer-LOL....Ok-I gotta quit talking about this-I could go on and on...By the way-sheila, if your reading this-THANKS for the stuff....We will make a time to meet and get that stuff-do you want me to send the money in the mail? I have a Jenny Lind crib here I bought at a garage sale-but I didnt have a mattress-so I was so thankful when I read that you had one!! And a basinett-between megan and aaron, me and my parents-someone will be able to use everything you have!!! Im more than happy to pay for it too-cuz baby stuff is sooooo expensive!!!
I wanted to add real quick-to thank you wonderful prayer warriors for the prayers for Jonathan. We had a better day yesterday about grandpa passing away. He is understanding more. I try really hard NOT to cry when I am around Jonathan, but-its not always that easy! Told him that I was crying because I missed grandpa-JUST LIKE when I cried when we had to leave Arizona...then I explained what I thought heaven was like-and how happy grandpa is there and how he is with 3 people he loves very much that are up there too (his dad and then his 2 neices that died 3 yrs ago-sisters, one was 18 and the other 24) AND....told him that Im sure grandpa got to see Nemo (his fish) and Gabby (his kitten) and that he would pet Gabby for Jonathan and that they are all together. He liked the idea of grandpa petting Gabby for him-he sure misses that kitten alot! Talks about her every couple of weeks since she passed away-almost a yr ago now! So, Jon IS doing better and I appreciate you guys so much! Darrel, my 14 yr old, though, on the other hand-ARGH!!! He is just doing the OPPOSITE of everything you say....Weds night, I told him that he had to help me clean the kitchen after dinner because I was hurting so badly AND he hadnt helped all week-SO....of course, he gets done eating before me (nothing unusual there.... right?) so-WHEN he got done-I said-you can start the kitchen and I will be there in a couple of minutes. What does he do? He doesnt even scrape his plate to the dog dish (we give them most all leftovers) but leaves it on a seperate counter all together and then goes off and sits in the den. HUH? I got up 5 min later and went into the kitchen and then saw him sitting there and I was like-what are you SUPPOSE to be doing? Then, he does this famous thing (HAS since he was Jons age-makes me want to rip his head off) Where he stands there when you ask him something and refuses to answer OR spea****il you threaten to knock his head off his shoulders-LOL) AAwwww....Clean the kitchen? Yeah-10 points there....WHY arent YOU in there? Standing there, staring at me, like he is waiting for horns to grow out my head OR watching for the steam to come out my ears....ANSWER ME-DONT MAKE ME COME OVER THERE OR I SWEAR, YOU WILL BE SORRY! Um, I was just getting ready to-and I had to do this and I had to do that and then.. Oh yeah, let me guess-you decided to sit on the couch to warm it up for Molly? You were fixing the cushions with your butt cheeks? NOW...My son, SINCE you wanted to be a LAZY, guess what? YOU get to do the kitchen ALONE.....and it BETTER be done right! I Will make you do it over and over and over...trust me. I WILL WIN TONITE! (ask Eric I wanted to say, but didnt!) Tues night-was the first time in months and months and months that there were dishes in my sink when I went to bed-2 pans that were soaking....well-they are teflon or whatever-so it was only a minute that they needed to soak and then the dishes from breakfast Weds morning piled on them and I HAD to get to town and left them..(this is NOT me-you will NEVER see dishes in my sink for more than an hour at the most!) anyhow-he gets home from school and loads the 2 bowls and 2 coffee cups in the dishwasher-washes one of the pans and leaves the other one in the sink...asked WHY he didnt wash the frying pan? He says-it didnt LOOK like it was done soaking! Did you bother to even dump the water/dawn out of it and see? NO.....I think he was afraid that he would have to use some elbow grease OR that the dishwashing soap would touch him...I have to constantly be on him to shower, wash his face, brush his teeth and so on. I thought pre-teens WANTED to smell good and be clean? When does this phase end? I have never had a pre-teen/teen boy before. Jon WANTS to shower all the time and smell clean-heck, Jon has his own AXE body wash (miniature one) and he uses it-loves it...I got one big set for Darrel and yet, I have to MAKE him take showers and THREATEN to wash his hair, because he used to come out without using shampoo and his hair would stink-so he wanted to continue to lie and say he was using shampoo (not on your hair your not-it wouldnt smell like a dead mouse if you did!) SO I told him-go get your swimming trunks on before you get in the shower. Dont ask me WHY-JUST DO IT...and when he got in the shower-I WASHED HIS HAIR AND showed him HOW to scrub his scalp AND use a washcloth...this was like 6 months ago peeps-not a couple of yrs-told him that I would be embaressed, at 14, if my momma had to wash my hair!!!! Now, at least-he uses soap and shampoo!
Well, I am going to get this posted-and Jon and I are leaving to hit a couple of garage sales with Megan and my mom....Megan had her OB appt this morning, but it was too early to go...would have had to leave here at 7:30 and Jon wasnt up yet. So-we are meeting them and I am gonna finish looking for the Holloween stuff we need for our costumes.
Just one last reminder guys-PLEASE use today to let SOMEONE you love-know that you love them, ok? Im not just saying this-I really care about all of you here-whether I have personally met you face to face or you live too far away (I have met several that are far far away too-Like Tammy, Brenda and Sherr, Bec.....Lou, Deb D. and Barbara, Vesta-just to name a few) and I feel the same love for them as I do for the ones who are closer to me....Jan and Joe, Sugar, Glenna, Andy, Lana, Renee-You guys TRULY are such good friends and I consider a lot of you my family....I cant wait to see your posts and see you when I can....I pray for each one of you and your situations you may have-all the time and I just want you to know that my life would not be the same without you guys-I LOVE YOU GUYS A LOT!!!! I hope everyone is doing well health wise- and that you will all remember our board members in your prayers-for HEALTH and HAPPINESS!!!! Have a good Friday everyone!! Love, Janet
Sorry its been a few days since I posted last, its just really been hard to sit here the way i been feeling. I think Im finally starting to mend a bit, the swelling hasnt really gone down much but im getting to where I can move around better, the hematoma *sp* where I bled has really been sore and its in such a spot its just hard to do much, walk, sit, lay etc, ai yi yi. If any doctor ever again wants to do an Heart Cath on me I'll sure be thinking twice lol. Im getting better tho, been out walking and its much easier this morning just cooooooolllldddd. Woke up this morning and had to turn the heat on for a few mins to take the chill out. Guess winter is getting closer, wish winter would bypass us this year lol.
When Jan and Joe pulled out of here on Wed. they both looked like true bikers all dressed in their leathers and pulling that lil trailer, makes ya wanna go out and get a motorcycle and join em lol. Hope they are having a great time away!!
Janet its good to see ya posting, I really been feeling everyones prayers and support, its amazing what a lil prayer can do for someone. Hopefully when I go to my pcp next week my b/p will be normal and things will be all good again. Sure hope you get to make it to this months meeting, missed ya last month, hope everyone gets to make this month, last month was kind of a small group.
Just wanna thank everyone again for all the prayers, Susan and I both have been praying for everyone on here also. Susan is doing good, she goes back to the wound doctor next week and that should be her last time, her toe and leg both are healed up, yay!! So hopefully we both are on the mend and ready to get back into action lol.

Brrr is it cold out there this morning! It's starting to thunder here too. Jake just got home from football practice and said they just about had to go indoors due to lighting. PTL for the roof over our heads and the heat!
Tonight DH and I leave for Jamesport! We're going to stay a couple nights at a local B&B. We were suppose to go back in February for our anniversary. However, I ended up in the hospital with an internal hernia. So it got delayed. It's okay with me, the trees should be beautiful this time of year! I just checked the weather, it's cold and rainy there today. Tomorrow and Sunday it's suppose to be SUNNY and in the high 60's! Perfect weather to shop all the Amish stores! I can't remember the last time DH and I got away for an entire weekend. We both need the time with each other. I'm going to take a long bubble bath and start getting ready. I have a list of things to pack, so the packing shouldn't take too long. DH always says we're only staying two nights so why do you have to take so much stuff! MEN! Don't they know we have to have OPTIONS to wear!? lol!
I've warned both my boys that they will probably have "surprise" visitors throughout the weekend. When we went on a company weekend in 07 I had my parents just show up out of the blue to check on them. I'm going to ask them to do that again. My boys are good boys, however, they are still boys and teenagers at that!
Janet - thanks for doing the post for Mama Jan! I hope you have a GREAT time with your hubby tonight on your date night. Do you know where you two are going? I hear that the new movie Fireproof is really good. I know that both my dh and I want to see that movie. Take heart about your 14 year old son, Daryl. I have an 18 year old boy and a 13 year old boy. I've never had a problem with their hygiene (thank goodness)! However, listening is an entirely different issue. Remember, men cannot think with both sides of their brains at the same time. I didn't realize that until DH and I watched a series of videos from Gary Smalley (he's a christian psychologist). He explained that women can think with both sides of their brain at the same time. That's why we associate a feeling with EVERYTHING and why men don't. I wish I had done that when I first got married, would have saved me a lot of heartache and headache. Might I suggest a book by Dr. Dobson, "Bringing Up Boys". It is WONDERFUL and will give you a lot of insight to the minds of boys. I have read it a couple times and still refer back to it when I need it.
Also - CONGRATS on that BABY GRANDDAUGHTER!! You were RIGHT! I know she's going to have the best NANA in the world! Can't wait to see that precious little baby.
Andy - PTL you are feeling better! You had us all worried! You and Susan sure have had a time of it. Will continue to pray for both of you to get completely well and to be able to enjoy the upcoming holiday seasons.
Peggy - I LOVE the idea of coming to your house for lunch on 11/19. Like Mama Jan said - are you sure it wouldn't be too much!? We just don't want to take advantage of your hospitality! I know how tiring it can be taking care of a loved one. Will continue to pray for your physical strength as well as your emotional and spiritual strength.
Shelia - hon, I'm glad your surgery went well. Will continue to pray for your complete recovery. Hope you're able to post soon.
Deb (Pooh) - your posts are so funny! You always make me smile! You are one special lady.
Mama Jan - isn't our God wonderful!? He is always RIGHT ON TIME! Hope you and Joe are enjoying yourself and I hope the weather is beautiful! We miss you!
Bec - hope you're enjoying your trip. I wanted to say I agree with you on prayer! God wants us to come to him with EVERYTHING in our lives. The small, big, good, bad and yes even the ugly! God is able to handle all of it! Thanks for your post. Can't wait to see you next week!

FYI - the B&B I called earlier this morning to confirm our TWO night reservation just called and said they have us down for only ONE night that is tonight. I told him no I had specifically booked it for TWO nights. It's about a 4 hour drive and we always stay two nights. He kind of argued with me about it. Then he said he would see what he could do. He's suppose to call me back. I really want to stay TWO nights. Please pray about that. I know God will take care of us - one way or the other.
Well, I'd better scoot. Have to start packing. I also need to eat lunch. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I just wanted to pop in and say I am fine just been insane LOL!!! I swear i am usually very boring and now since surge is getting close seems like everyday someone is yelling the sky is falling!!
I usually am happy to help everyone but I gotta tell y'all i am TIRED!!
Please everyone pray for my sister in law she has been in a abusive, mostly verbally, marriage for 22 years, her only child who just got married last year is already talking divorce and I think she may have just lost it this week!! She has been on a iffy slope for a couple years now, I am worried she is just not herself and her judgment is very OFF!! She left her husband for that i am thankful, just the way it has all happened and the choices she is making are making all of us crazy!! This is all very painful to watch not just because of her and her family but the memories of being in a marriage like that myself once is hard! I wont say I made all the right choices when I left my situation but she is umm lets just say treading on dangerous ground, hate to say more till I know more, just afraid for her!! Spent all day yesterday and today with her looking for places to rent, she is staying with much younger friends who don't cramp her new style like we do or her mother would, sigh, please pray for her she needs all the prayer she can get, thank you!!!
I hate drama OMG you all have no idea LOL, please pray I keep my Irish heritage at bay till things calm down, between his mouth and her choices I can feel my Irish granny and two red haired Irish papas dying to add their two cents. I usually have patients, but with so much time dealing with my uncle and his mess, now this I am tired, my drama meter is off the chart, LOL!!!
I will try and be sunshiny tomorrow I promise, I am sorry hasn't been a lotta sunny days lately, tho God is in charge, so I am giving it all to him and going to chill out the rest of the day hehe.
Please know no matter how crazy it gets I NEVER forget to pray for you all, you are always in my thoughts, i hope you all had a wonderful day!!!

Hello everyone! We got back around 5 last night but Ive been too busy to get on to post although I did read some last night!
Im so excited about some of the progress being done by some, like the good news about Michele's job and such and the drains out for the girls! Whew! But Im worried about some too! Seems to be alot of problems going on.
OH by the way Secret Santa....thanks so much for the cutest little pumpkins! I love fall and this holiday time so the decorating will be enhanced by these cute little things! The card was precious to me too!
Well, NOW about the vacation! IT was WONDERMOUSLY FANTABULOUS! The trees up in the mountains had the most gorgerous colors and the waterfalls were full and flowing...I was worried about there not being much in the rivers in such since they have been dry out there but it was great! I will try to send a few pics to some that I have email addresses for...sorry I dont know how to post them on here! Rick and I hiked and climbed and had an absolute blast in GOD's perfect mountain setting.
When will my sis be back? I thought she said it would be the 20th but Im not sure!
Well, girls I have to go get some supper going and just wanted to post a quick hello so Janet wouldnt ground me and whip my butt!
