I Got My Gall Bladder Surgery Date...
I went and met with the Dr. today and I am having my Gall Bladder removed @ Freemans here in Joplin, Mo. It will be 10/28/2008!!! At 1:00 pm. If everything goes right, I will have it laproscopic and be home the same day! ! Depending if there is alot of scarred tissue, I should be able to have just a couple incisition... added to the 6 I already have :) Sounds good to me!! I also got some Slim Fast High Protein bars today. They have 15gm of protein and they are pretty decent. Is 15g a good amount? I looked at some protein drinks at walmart, but I didnt see any with a good amount of protein ( over 10 g) So, i guess right now I am going to stick with seafood and my protein bars.
wonderful that you will have your surgery there , wish you could have had it sooner , those buggers hurt like a --------------------(insert your own words here) but better then than later.
You will feel so much better after that is out. .....
You ask if not getting enough protein would have to do with your slow loss of weight. first off dont compare yourself to others and their weight loss , you are doing good for you....that is all that counts...but to answer your question, yes not getting enough protein, or enough water or enough exercise will cause you not to lose as much but i bet you after your gall bladder surgery6 heals you are going to be able to get a lot of protein down them,,,,just be careful about the premixed stuff you can get at wal mart....most of it has way too many carbs and sugar in it...ok? you will find your groove soon and then it will be a fast slide downhill . lol so hang on tight. ....

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Thank you Jan!! I really appreciate it. I couldn't get myself to buy the premade stuff, it just seemed to have TOO much carbs and sugar. I am sure I will do better once the Gull Bladder is out. I sure hope so. It is hard not to compare myself and my weight loss with others. But, I am going to keep at it. Thanks again!!
Glad you have asurgery date, I know yournot looking forwardto more pain ,but thepain from the gallbladder is way worse than the pain if haveing it removed,Yu'lll be a new woman soon,And hopefully yu'll be able to get in protein drinks. I do the nectar,They are very doable,And syntrax has great protein powders that taste great, So hopefully yu'll find one you like.Walmart has a body fortress vanilla and Choc powder that id 52 04 56 grams per two scoops and isnt really bad tasting, and its pretty check, The cgeapest i have found the syntrax nectar is 25,99 a 2,2 lb canister all together it is 31 something shipping and handling, Good luck with your surgery, Hope all goes well and yu'lll be feeling better than evr real soon.

Just a warning...if yours is anything like mine was..my GB was high up under my ribs so they had to do an extra incision and pump air into the cavity to get my liver and such out of the way...if you can move...i had pretty bad back pain from it but i'm a lil jacked up in the back anyways...do it..it will help get the extra air out and prevent some eye opening gas/air pains. No one told me about this til i called in worried i'd done something to mess up the stitches i hurt so bad lol
