WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

Jan C.
on 10/9/08 2:13 pm - Cedar Creek, MO

Picked up the Kia again today and we drove it all over and then drove it home…we will take it to Michele tomorrow morning early….She is very hopeful that her former boss of a job she really loved is wanting to hire her back…I sure hope so . she was excellent at that job. She just had so much helplessness going on at home with Jason that she got to where she couldn’t handle it at all. She about freaked out…

If she could get back at that job her boss is a good Christian woman and could help her a lot im sure …she tried before but Michele wasn’t there at that time ,not in her head any way.

Just wish us luck on the little truck and that it is really fixed this time. He put a new fuel pump and fuel filter in it …

We told him that if this didn’t fix it we want our money back…allof it.

Does anyone out there need some wood for the winter. Free just a little work. We had tree company come yesterday and cut down 5 trees that were losing limbs and were rotten in places , we didn’t want them falling on the houses or sheds. Anyway Joe and I worked all day long getting one of them cleaned up and now his back is killing him. He took two of his pain pills and then about an hour later took 2 ultram and 2 ibuprophen. It finally helped enough that he is not crying anymore.

Such as me asking about any one needing wood for the winter. If you will come and drag all the limbs from the trees to a burn pile and then get the wood you can have it for just a little work…the trees are on the ground already just need cleanup and picked up.

I see by her post that Sugar has already left on her trip. Oh well I will call her one day this week end and see what she is doing. Hope she enjoys her trip…I know I cant wait tell we get to go on ours. Joe is getting another pain shot on Monday so hopefully it will help his back some more.

Joe and I both got our flu shots today at the Family Pharmacy …I have no desire to be sick with the flu and ever since I started getting them I haven’t had any flu at all…that has been at least 15 years ago that I started getting them….the first ones use to make everyone sick because they were made with live culture so they gave you this small amount of the flu so you would build antibodies against, but they don’t do that now. So NO ONE Can get sick from having the flu shot. If they happen to get sick after having the flu shot then it is because they were getting sick with something before they had the shot. Honest .

TAMMY  H…hey there we have missed you and so glad that you have your internet back isnt it awful how dependent we are on our PCs

Your flowers and stuff that you moved just keep them watered , not too much but a good soaking every couple of days. They may go ahead and lose all their leaves now but they may, we hope, come back next spring. What was it you planted?  Maybe I can help you replace them if need be.  Your right the rain that you all had will probably do those lots of good. Hopefully there wont be any frost for a few weeks yet. This week end is suppose to be pretty warm…so be sure and keep them watered …..so much of the time watering is all that saves lots of plants when they are transplanted. If I had known you were transplanting I would have told you to go get some root stimulator and pour in each hole so it would help them to develop good roots and take off.

ANDY::::: was good to see you home and outside for a little while today. Hope you are feeling better and that we can get back to walking maybe Monday. if your doctor oks it by then…

You are still in my prayers for complete recovery.

PENNI::::: sorry you didn’t get in on this secret pal thing this time but we will have another one after this one and we will be sure and let you know ok?  Glad that you are getting your house done like you want , that is always a feeling of accomplishment isnt it? I know your daughter is feeling like a princess to have a room away from those pesky boys lol

DEB:::::: well the trick to surviving the winter with weight loss surgery is having plenty of warm socks , sweat shirts and sweat pants. , I even put on some long handles last year. I got them at a Hanes store last year they are made of silk and feel so good and really help you stay warm …I have more little jackets and sweater than I have ever owned in my whole life , same with coats. I never wore one before now I wear one all the time lol

Have you talked to your surgeon about maybe a stricture??? If that is it then it isnt any real big thing to get it fixed, just a matter of stretching the opening so you can get food in.

You cant do that about not getting anything in all day. do you at least get in liquid protein of some kind during the day? if so that is ok….just get enough of it and drink enough water.

The stall or the gain of two pounds is probably just your body holding on to all it can get because it thinks it is starving. You really need to call your surgeon and tell them you WANT SOMETHING DONE. NOW….You aren’t going to be a failure and it was probably done right but you have to do your part , and part of that is when you cant follow the rules that they give you to follow you need to get in touch with them and ask them why you are feeling like you do…ok?

TAMMY  V::::: hey hope you are doing well , good to see your smilling face.

BARBARA   S;;;; right on the money girl with the advice….I know it is confusing and sort of helpless feelings when they first have surgery  . good thing we have good people that are a few years out with words of advice. Take heed girls….

SHEILA:::::: lol sorry but I just had to do the rock and roll thing…glad that it made you laugh or smile really big anyway.

To keep from losing more weight you need to add more good carbs.. like more fruit and veggies. Bu****ch it and don’t add too many or you will start gaining and you don’t want to do that now…lol

LORI::::: Where in the world are you driving that you have mountains ? from Joplin to Sedalia??? You ought to try driving down here where I like  lol

Sorry that you have lots of Gall Stones …not fun but you really need to get it out soon. if it really starts hurting you wont be able to move the pain will totally overtake you , you cant stand, walk or even lay down when it really attacks you. And it can do it very quickly ..will make you think you are dying so you really need to get it out asap..

ALSO see my note to you on yesterdays post about the calcium..ok

BEC.::::::I hope you are still resting and not doing much…everything will be there when you get back to your normal self so hang in there. Hopefully the resting causese the pain to stop…

I am praying for it too do just that anyway.

Hey go buy you some pecan trees to put out there in that big ole front yard of yours. They make beautiful shade trees for sure. There are lots of different kinds and a lot of them require that you have at least two of them to pollinate

I have been hoping to see Janet post today but I guess she had lots to do since she got home.

Well wish you and Paul would get a Gold wing too and we could all ride together.

LAURA::::: Im glad that you are doing better than you were and glad that you and Deb are walking together, it really makes it good when you have someone to walk with I know.

SHANNON:::::: wow you all are all discovering each other and that none are that far apart, sure wish there were some here close to me …

Yeah those babies will always be our babies wont they? And we still worry about them. People that don’t have kids think that by the time they are 18 they are grown and you don’t have to worry about them anymore lol that is funny isnt it. I guess once a mother your always a mother. That’s for sure.

On your flower question, yep you sure can …I don’t keep mine in the house but I keep them in the green house from year to year. Same with geraniums. Just may have to transplant into something even bigger come spring.

The pork steak casserole sounds good , post how you make it?

Did you eat a lot of potatoes with it, you made the comment about carbs   the pork steak has no carbs to react to so has to be potatoes or something like that. I don’t even have white potatoes in the house anymore. My husband and I eat a lot of bake sweet potatoes. .

BEV::::: I am so glad that you are going to try raising the calories , what you awere getting in is not even enough to keep your body moving, and it will make you tire easily and will make you get depressed and down…foggy thinking too.

Sounds like you are going to have a great sale. I hope you sell everything that you have. So you will have lots of money to buy some new winter things. Don’t go to wild buying because with increasing your calories you will start losing again and then those would be too big on you…..cant wait for you to get your undergarment thingy and let us know how it feels. I have bought several of them from wal mart and such and I can barely stand to wear them . they make my stomach feel like it is being poked or something. Like it is being pushed into my back bone lol

I know it isnt easy to increase your calories when you cant eat a lot but you can find a way I know and the idea of increasing your protein shakes right now is a great idea. That is what I do to keep it up around 1000 calories and if im lucky I can get it up to 1200 cals.

Soon it will be the week end again. so what is everyone going to do this week end?

I hope we aren’t messing with Micheles truck anymore lol . we don’t have anything planned but I have got to find something before Joe wants to tug and pull on those big logs again.

LOVE AND HUGS

GOD BLESS

Good Morning, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

Well, it's been an interesting day so far.  I had on my calendar to sub at Moonlight Elementary this morning as a rover.  I get up, dressed, makeup, hair done, etc and arrive there at 8:00 a.m.  The office is full of teachers in casual wear and the 2 secretaries tell me there is no school today!  Now I knew that Luke & Jake didn't have school today, however, I thought for sure the elementary schools would be in session.  Needless to say, I was a little embarrassed!  Oh well, most of the ones in the office I have known since Luke was in kindergarten so that was okay.  Guess I need to get some things done at home today.  I had already told the boys the chores I wanted them to today.  Guess I'll be here to "supervise" after all! lol

Yesterday, I went and looked at a couple slabs of granite.  Looks like dh and I are going to be able to get a really GREAT deal and I'm going to get new granite counter tops and a new granite sink and a nice faucet.  I have been needed a new sink and faucet for a long, long time.  We have a big country kitchen and all the surface area is white laminate.  My sink is also white and has several chips in it.  I use soft scrub with bleach almost on a daily basis.  So I'm really excited about getting the granite counter tops!  The granite has a few "imperfections" so they are unable to sale it.  I took a look at it and I saw what they were saying, however, I actually liked the way it looks.  As with Mother Nature, nothing is exactly perfect.  So I told dh that I was okay with it.  Can you tell I'm excited!?

Thanks you all for your compliments on Luke's senior pictures.  I just couldn't resist posting them.  Luke would have a fit if he knew I had posted them!  He thinks I talk way too much about him and Jake.  Maybe I do, but I love them so much and I feel so tremendously blessed to have them both!  He'll understand when he has kids of his own.

DH and Jake have a Boy Scout Camporee this weekend.  Tomorrow I am going to the Art Festival in Mound City, KS with a few women from church.  It is suppose to be around 78 tomorrow and sunny!  They have like 800 booths or more of art stuff.  I can't spend much $$, however, I enjoy looking at it and getting ideas for things I can make.

Jan - I hope that little Kia is truly fixed and that Michelle will get many years out of it.  I will also pray that she gets the job with her old boss who is a Christian woman.  I know that would really help Michelle.  This time, Michelle will be open to the help she will receive.  God's timing is always perfect!  Please tell Joe we are praying for him.  How terrible to live with that much pain!  Hope the shots help him.  He is such a wonderful guy.

Renee' & Lou - Welcome to the loser's bench!  Be careful, we just spit polished it for you both so it may be a little slippery!  lol!  Seriously, I'm glad that you all made it thru and are back home.  Will pray that you continue to heal daily.

Bec - you'd better call the doc this morning!  You really shouldn't be having that much pain, especially since you've been taking it really easy the past couple of days.  Let me know what they tell you.

Deb (Pooh) - your posts always make me laugh.  You are so funny!  I've never met you and yet I know you have a great heart!

Mo Peeps - please forgive me if I haven't mentioned you.  It's not my intent to leave anyone out.  I just can't keep up with everyone (my old brain just won't do it!)

Love all of you!

Good Morning Jan and Everyone.
Hope all is good with everyone on this beautiful fall day. I'm freezing as usual but it's still a beautiful day.
Jan i have spoken to Natalie but she didn't seem to concerned about it yet, Yesterday i got in 92 gms of protein through drinks, plus whatever lil protein i got in from eating the chili last night. I got on the scales this morning they are back down 5 lbs. How is gaining and loseing 5 lbs over night even possible? However it works i was thrilled with the 5 lb loss.
I have thermal pj's, flannel pj's all falling off me now so gonna need new ones. I now wear socks all the time, long sleeve shirts, sweats, and sweatshirt. It is so different being cold all the time, when before it could be 30 degrees and i would be sweating,  Lot's of new body changes to get use to now, But i would much rather have to put on more clothes to stay warm than to be fat and miserable.
Wish we wasn't so far away from one another we would gladly clean up yur trees for the wood,  We have a wood furnace in the basement. I love it. You can adjust the heat with a thermastat upstairs just like a reg furnace. Only gotta go load it about every 4 hrs ,That is if gail loads it, If i load it it last about 6 LOL.  He has found a couple of people willing to let him cut wood this yr, Oak,Hickory and black locust, I love black locust it burns so nice and puts out alot of heat. And we also buy wood $350.00 for a truck load but truck is almost the size of a dump truck, We usually go through 2 loads of that plus all that Gail and my son go cut.
Gail has been haveing chest pains the past 2 days, Both days he has had to take some of his nitro. Plus he is starting to get tired and short winded real easy again, This is what happened to him when he had to have his bypass in Oct last yr. So i will be calling columbia setting him up an appt with cardio dr. He has been doing alot of heavy lifting at work this week, which he knows is a NO NO,So it could just be from over doing things, But it scares me and i would rather he see the Dr to to be on safe side. May have to hit him in the head with a hammer to get him there but he will go LOL.
No School today, yay me lol. So Nikki and I are gonna bake Gail peanut butter cookies, She wants to suprise him .

Bec- I didn't realize we lived so close to each other. Pecan season is just starting, Some of ours are falling .One tree is really loseing them, The other one is still loaded, But more cool nights and soon they'll be falling really good. The walnuts and pecans done really good this yr, Last year the freeze we had in April stopped them from doing anything, Wasn't a single nut on the pecan trees at all. This yr they are really good size and the walnuts look like softballs. My son has an english walnut tree, I'm gonna try and plant some of the nuts from his tree. Hopefully they will grow. They are the biggest english walnuts i have ever seen. beautiful nuts on the inside though.
My oldest son Gail Jr was here last night, Had to come show us some of the tactics he is learning in training, He is gonna be a guard at the new Chillicothe prison, Youngest son has his application in for there too and goes the 20th for the video exam.
They have a new baby due in Jan,WEEEEEEE. His name will be Hunter Evans,
He just won an all expense pd 4 days 3 night vac to the Marlboro Ranch in Montana, So hopefully it will be in Feb or March. He is really excited.
 Hope you are feeling better.

Does anyone know anything about hummingbirds? I have pretty much not seen any at all this week .So is it ok to bring in their feeders. I think my grandmother told me once to put out the feeders out in March and bring them in ,in Oct.But ya know how my old timers is, I can't remember what i did 5 min ago half the time. LOL

Jeanie. Hope you are feeling better and all is ok. I miss you ,Come out and play LOL.

Bev- Hope your yard sale is a big success for you, Nikki went to the pumpkin patch in preschool,They had the rides ,corn maze and done lots of stuff,Got to pick out their own pumpkin. She had a blast.

Shannon- Hope you are feeling better. Jan's so right once a Mother always a Mother. Even when they're 50 they'll still be or babies. It was so hard on me when my boys got married i just bawled like a baby. Gail asked me Honey what is wrong with you, Through tears and those heart wrenching gasping for air sobs,i was haveing i said my babies aren't my babies anymore. He said honey they will always be your babies no matter what. Sometimes he is a pretty smart man LOL.
When is next support meeting in KV? I wanna come but don't wanna come by myself LOL. Maybe i can get Laura to come with me.
I can't remember if i told you or not{old timers} that i got an appt with DR Ceismeir, The 22nd i think. Thank you for the info.
Janet- Hope to ee a post from you soon, I know yur probably wore out and have lots to catch up on. So i'll be waiting patiently on hearing from you.{tapping Foot} LOL
Renee and Lou- Congrats on being losers now, That drain is a big pain, But it will be out soon . Just sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, and rest when you need take yur pain meds if needed, and pamper yurselves, you deserve it.
Andy -- glad they got yur b/p meds straightened out,Hope yur feeling and doing much better,Hope susan is feeling better and you both are still in my prayers.
To of you hope your day is filled with lots of joy and happiness, To those i missed hope yur all doing great.
And to Laura GET YUR BUT OUTTA BED, Cuz it is time for Hi Ho Hi Ho on a walk we go. LOL.
 Love and {{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}} Deb

Angie and Jen-- Where are you girls hiding.Come out and play with us LOL.

Morning Yall....
Wow is it beautiful outside this morning!!! I love this time of year.....
After having my coffee and posting Im on a mission to get the last of my boxes put away and hopefully be finished up with the moving and unpacking....
Then this afternoon Im going to get all snazzed up and go to a wedding...My friends son is getting married tonight. Ive been so tied down with moving and running the past several weeks that Ive not done anything enjoyable or relaxing so Im looking forward to getting out of the house and enjoying myself!!!

Jan....I transplanted a ton of monkey grass...yukka bushes, several hostas, house leak, cannies, rose of sharon bushes, a tree that Joes not even sure what it is lol....flags, a few tuips that came up when I dug up some of the other stuff and planted some mums....I didn't bother to dig my elephant ears because I was in a hurry and didn't want to hunt for them...The few I had never done very well and never got more than a few feet tall, so Im just going to get some more next spring and plant them...And I hope to get me some roses started in the spring....Most all of it had good roots so I think they will all be ok....guess only time will tell lol lol....

Sorry to hear about Joes back....I hope he feels better soon...  As costly as fired woods gotten Im sure someone will take yall up on getting it out of there for you....It's always helpful to get something for free....

Andrew...Keeping ya in my prayers....Hope your feeling well soon.....

Lori...Hope you get your gaulbladder taken care of soon...

Sheila...It's wonderful your daughters helping you out....I will be praying you don't get depressed while your down....

Dear Jan and OH Peeps~

Hi guys-IM BAAAACKKKK....Missed ya! I intended on getting on everyday and posting while I was in Columbia-but it just wasnt meant to be-the ONLY place I could get the wi-fi to work (along with everyone else-LOL) was in a less than desirable area of the hospital and it just turned out to be this huge endeavor, and my mind wasnt up to it!~ Heck, I didnt get phone signal almost 1/2 the time there either. Didnt get a lot of my calls and didnt get a lot of texts etc that people sent. Felt really bad because there were a few times that different situations came up and nobody could get me. Anyway, so its been almost a week since I have posted and so much has happened. Guess I better pace the happenings of the past week-or I may take up the whole whats happening-

Before I continue-please remember our fellow OH`rs that need prayer....We have so many needs out there and there is such power in prayer and we have the BEST prayer warriors around!~ We have Bec and that pain she is having on her lower left side. Lets pray that with a couple of days of total rest and relaxation that she is on the road to getting her SASS!!! We have Sheila and the situation with her accident-she goes to the surgeon today to see what her course of treatment will be. There is Andy and his situation this week-please pray that he is on the road to a FULL recovery and NO MORE ISSUES!!! Theres Lori and her gb issues-lets pray she can get a doc close to home. For our new post ops-Lynette, Bec, Deb (pooh), Renee and Lou-that they all find their "Groove" and that they continue to recover without any issues. For Joe and his pain-that the docs WILL find SOMETHING to help that poor guy out! For Jan and her lab work-that everything is okay. For Sherr and her health issues that she will be alright and it will be a simple fix!~ For Jeanine and her pain in her legs.....For Jans daughter, Michele and the issues she has had between the ex, the little truck and for her staying on the wagon. I am probably missing some-Im sorry if I did-I havent caught up on all the reading of the posts yet-but I will-and you WILL be prayed for-for ANY need you have- I would also like to ask for prayer for my children-Megan, who is dealing with severe nausea and getting sick on top of that, and also-for her to have strength and wisdom of HOW to deal with her biological dad. Same with Stephanie on the Eric deal. Then, for Darrel-that he has strength and doesnt let his biological womb make him feel guilty for not seeing her. Then, for Jon-he is getting sick AND is still having issues with bad dreams. Finally, for myself-that this dang tailbone will heal, and then I have a couple of unspoken prayer requests too. I appreciate all of you taking the time to pray for everyone!

Bec has been on my heart for a couple of days-BIG TIME....So I called her just now (I had called her yesterday morning from the hospital and it showed that we were connected, but I never did hear her talking-and waiting almost a full minute and I had full signal-so I dont know what was up!) Anyway, we were talking about that pain in her side and the symptoms etc-and she thinks it may be a hernia and, unfortunately, it sounds that way! She had put a call into her doc and she was waiting for them to call her back-so I didnt want to keep her on the phone-I told her that I would call them back if she doesnt hear from them soon.......because its Friday-I dont want her falling through the cracks! She has a list of things to tell them about how it feels and all of that and some ?s to ask them-PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS IS SOMETHING SIMPLE-and that the docs wont mess around, but WILL FIND OUT ASAP-Becs intuition is telling her something isnt right, and we know-IF our bodies are telling us something and we feel it-to address it, because SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT-SO PRAY FOR HER! PLEASE and thanks!!!!

WOW-this has been a week-I can tell you that!~ Im so THANKFUL to be home-I ALMOST dropped to my knees and kissed the grass in my yard when we pulled in last night at 10:00 pm!!! I havent been THIS HAPPY to be home.....in I dont remember the last time I missed home so badly! I just figured if I dropped to my knees to kiss the ground-that with my luck, I would break another bone in my knee! (lol-funny, but TRUE~)

Let me say tho-that the HIGH LIGHT of my week this week was spending time with Bec and our road trip on the way to Columbia. Relaxing....AND.....What can I say about Bec? Im at a loss at trying to explain how wonderful and joyful she is-she is such a blessing and I feel so lucky, blessed and just flat out overjoyed to have her as a friend. One of the most awesome women I have met in my lifetime-and I know this is embaressing her-(or humbling as she would say) and so I will stop-but Bec-You will ALWAYS have such a SPECIAL PLACE in my heart!!! I love you and THANK YOU for the good conversation, the laughter, the love and hugs......the overnight stay in the Kim Anderson room that ROCKS-WOWZA do I LOVE THAT ROOM! If we couldve gotten that into the Shaggin-Waggin, I think you would be looking at decorating a new room there....(sorry Crystal!!!-LOL) For the protein balls and pumpkin seeds-pudding and samples of stuff-for the BEAUTIFUL fall flower arrangement-LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! (YOU ARE SO TALENTED! Im telling you-make plenty and do a craft fair and you WILL see-YOUR SO TALENTED-people will EAT THOSE UP!!!!-the money you can get out of them too~will help pay for the new "sass" wardrobe you gotta get!!! LOL) For the BEAUTIFUL dress and sleeper outfit for my new g-daughter coming soon-How thoughtful of you!!!! I cant even put into words how thankful I am-you know whats in my heart and how much I appreciate and adore you, my dear, sweet friend!!! I PRAY that you feel better soon, darn it!!! I HATE that your hurting so!!! Keep us posted about this, ok? I swear, if I were still in Columbia OR lived closer-I would be on my way to get you RIGHT NOW and take you in!!!! PLEASE let me know if I can do anything for you???

Renee and I had so much fun on the trip up there.....Things ALWAYS seem to happen to or around me-LOL....We got to stop and see Sheila-she had been OUT of pain meds and NO ONE would help her till she could get in to her PCP on Weds-thats SO STUPID!!! Seeing her-hurt me....She is beautiful BUT....she looked BAAAAD!!! Poor thing! Anyway-while her and I are texting back and forth, Renee driving down the road-I ask where she lives....she texts me back-Elkland....within a mile of getting this text from her-we crested the hill-and guess what? Sign for Elkland to the right, 7 miles-Now, was that a sign OR WHAT? Yeah-to me it was....so-we found her (after getting lost a couple of times due to my inability to find certain signs or follow mapping directions-LOL)....Couldnt leave a friend sitting in pain for 3 days! Dunno about some of these docs-I bet IF it were them OR their family and friends-they would give more than 2 days of pain meds-with BROKEN RIBS AND COLLAR BONES!!!! WTH? Sheila-I PRAY you get good news at the surgeon today AND that he gives you something for that pain! Love ya girl. Wish I lived closer to help you and Im so sorry about the scooter.....It WAS so cute!

Renee did GREAT....So much has changed since I had surgery 2 yrs ago-but-thats besides the point, anyway-she is doing great-everything going as expected (didnt say good-BUT...as expected) the trip home was of H.E.L.L......I think I would have gotten in a twin engine plane to ride home if given the chance and I am DEATHLY afraid of planes-specially the lil' ones! I will post more later about some of our adventures-you WONT believe some of the stuff that happened! Freaky, freaky stuff!!!!

Well, guys-Im hurting pretty good-Im gonna go take a breather on the couch for awhile and waiting for Megan to call and tell me that Stacy and baby are here and doing good!~! She is going in for her c-section right now-if you could all say prayers that mom and baby fly through this and recover without complications-she has a rare blood type and so they already have some issues against them! I appreciate it.

I have so much more to tell you-but hurting too bad to sit here much longer-BUT...Some stuff is so exciting-like I got to see my surgeon after not seeing her since my 6 month check up AND.....we got pictures and Im gonna be on their bulletin board/billboard!! I went yesterday and signed all the release papers I needed to......So awesome-and, IF you have seen the weekly weigh in-Im at 166 and Dr. Fearing said "goal" for the BMI meter she has in her pocket says 164-169..... SO I AM AT GOAL WITHOUT ANY PLASTICS YET!!!!! IM AT GOAL, IM AT GOAL!!!!! WOOOO HOOOO.....Ok peeps-Im getting while I can...All my love and prayers to all-Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend. Make sure and tell those you love, that you love em!!! (can you tell that Im glad to be home and around all my kids and hubby??) Love, Janet

Praise the LORD - our prayers were answered - sis had an interview at VA hospital and by the time she got home from Columbia there was a message on her machine that she got the job!

The house across the street sold and have met the single man who bought it.  He is very nice and have talked to him twice now and he brought me over some strawberry plants yesterday afternoon.  I am glad someone is going to be living there and friendly.  His 1st project is to gut the kitchen and redo it.  He has a doctorate and is a carpenter also - LOL.  It is so nice to have good neighbors!

Work was easier today and got overstaffed early so am going to take a nap after my walk.

Have a great day!
Shannon
