WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY
Good Afternoon Mama Jan & MO Peeps!
Wow, what a busy weekend I've had! Luke and I's visit to Midwest Bible College on Friday was GREAT! It's a beautiful campus and everyone there really took there time in talking with Luke and I. I tried to give Luke time alone to talk to the different people. I talked to them too, however, I really him to get to know them. The Dean of Admissions took a lot of time talking to me and to Luke. He spoke as well as the Student Financing person. We then took a tour of the campus, had lunch. Then they had a professor come in and actually teach us like he was teaching a class. He taught out of 1 Corinthians 6. Wow, it was great! I wanted to learn more!
There is a program called Fusion. It is specifically designed for H.S. graduates who are entering their first year of college. They go to school the first semester there on campus then they spend the second semester overseas. Either in India, Peru or Africa. They earn 32 credit hours as well. We had a friend who went to Sudan thru Fusion about 2 years ago. So Luke already knew about the program. He talked to the director on Friday. He's going to continue to pray about it and he's going to sign up for it. If he is accepted, he won't be going to Tokyo this next summer. The $4200 that it would cost for Tokyo could go towards the cost of his first year in college. He would then stay home next summer and work and save some money. He also would be able to go to Summer Summer (our church camp) which would be nice because this would be the last year he would be eligible to go. I'm thinking maybe David and I will join Luke and Jake this year at Super Summer as sponsors. We will see where the Lord leads on that one. I know Jake asked me this summer if I would go spend the week with him out there next summer.
So it looks like it has been settled. Luke will be going to Midwest Bible College for his Bachelors Degree in Christian Education. We are now trusting the Lord to provide the funds for him to go without getting too far in debt. I believe with all my heart that this is the Father's will and He will provide!
I subbed for the librarian yesterday. It would have been a great day if that dang scanner would have worked! It was really touchy yesterday. I guess it doesn't like Monday's either! lol!
Today I'm just enjoying the day. Jake has a football game tonight. Think I'm going to have to go get me some long-john's. It's cold and rainy out there today! The rain is suppose to be gone by the time of the game. However, it's suppose to get colder. I just might have to take my winter coat!
Jan - glad to hear your sleep study went well. Also, glad to hear you won't be needing that c-pap! I HATED that thing! Have you heard anything about your blood work? Will keep praying about that. Glad to hear you're getting Michelle's truck fixed! Sometimes you just gotta make your position known and stick to it! I'm proud of Michelle too! Will keep praying she keeps making those wise decisions!
Sugar - glad you and Jan and the others are planning on coming up for Bec's 2 month check up. Will be great to see all you girls and visit and go shopping!! Yeah!
Deb - Hon, at my old house (ranch) my hubby put up lights every year at Christmas. We used those big bulbs so the fuse was always blowing out. lol. Anyways, now we live in a split entry home and we have huge ceilings (roof lines) so my dear hubby won't put up any outside lights! What a scrooge he can be! lol! You will have to take some pics and post them so we can all see your beautiful lights!
Shelia - Sorry about your accident! I know you must hurt all over! Glad you're back home and are posting again. We miss your smiling face!
Renee and Lou - will keep praying that your surgeries go well. Hope someone is able to keep us posted about their progress.
Bec - great to chat with you this morning! You always brighten my day!
MO Peeps - please forgive me if I don't respond to everyone, I simply can't keep all of you straight long enough to type it all out. Hope you all understand that I do pray for all of you daily.
Gotta scoot. Not sure why, but I know I gotta start becoming somewhat productive today! lol!

I am here, Lurking but here. Pain in my stomach, goes through to my back, and I had to go to protein and liquid only diet since this weekend. :( And, GET THIS...
Woke up this morning with BIGGER than Angelina Jolie lips. Scared my parents 1/2 to death, daddy came over to look at it and freaked out. I got right into the doctor, he says I am full of inflammation/infection, gave me two shots, one in EACH butt cheek, and now, both my butt cheeks are burning... Sorry to whine...I am in so much excruceating pain today, I hurt everywhere there is a bone, AND my lips are 2 inches thick.
I am facing end of Oct. on the stomach thing. And now this...I don't know what else I can do.... AND I AM HUNGRY... LOL I had 3 protein drinks, 2 hot teas and a coffee yesterday...oh, the days of the 2 week liquid diet came rushing back. :)
