Hi all. sorry i've been mia.

This past couple of weeks has been really crazy.  First of all my husband wrecked his motorcycle and broke his elbow in two places, his wrist in two places, and he also dislocated his wrist.  Needless to say we ended up at KU med(closest place that could get him in) with him having surgery.  They kept him overnight for pain regulation and then a couple of days later my youngest had the stomach bug that is going around.  Then she(our youngest) fell at the playground and busted her mouth open and the school nurse wasn't sure if she would need stitches, so we went to the er, again. She didn't need any, thank goodness.  Then I had to take off work to take my husband back to the doctor last Wednesday.  As we were leaving, my oldest tells me that she doesn't feel good, so since we don't have any backup except for my friend that I work with we ended up taking her with us.  Wefigured that as soon as we got just far enough away that she would get sick and then she would have to spend the day in the nurses office until we could get back.  Well,  sure enough,  half way there she puked everywhere!!!  So  I had to drop my husband off at the front of the hospital and try to find a wal mart or somewhere that I could go buy her some new clothes.  I some how ended up in Roeland Park, KS, and i practically went straight to a walmart.  One of the smallest I have ever seen.  I even had to buy the child new shoes because she somehow managed to puke on them too.    Any way, they taught my husband the physical therapy for his hand adn elbow and put him in a short (below the elbow) cast.   We started back home and the child got sick again.
Fast forward to Friday... My puppy( about 3 months old)  started throwing up.  I thought that he might have ate something that didn't aggree with him.  Then today he started having diarrhea that was bloody.  Long story short 2 different vets tell me that he probably won't make it because it looks like parvo.  So I had to tell my girls that their beloved dog might not make it.  This has really been a BAD couple of weeks.  I feel so bad for "Little Man", the only thing we can do for him is give him pepto, gatorade and tried to give him some white rice.  He is fading fast and I just hope that he doesn't suffer too much.  Please say a prayer for my girls,  that they can cope with this ok, they really love that dog. (I do too)

On the bright side.. my friend Kris is doing better.  She is becoming more alert and starting to do some physical therapy to get her muscle tone back(she lost it all)  They say her motor skills are like an infant and that she will have to relearn it all.  She is communicating with her family and getting aggrivated with them when they don't understand her.  (which they think is wonderful)  They say that she has at least a month left in icu before she can be moved, but she is moving forward one day at a time.
So.....i think I am done venting now,  hope you all are doing well, and I hope that everyone is getting better from their accidents and illness.   Hugs, Layla
