My first appointment w/ Dr. H is Oct. 15th. What usually happens on the first apointment?

I can't tell you what to expect on your first visit to Dr. H since I have a different doctor, but I can tell you CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK.....your on your way now.

Thanks Renee' I am in the middle of my six month diet and then have insurance approval to go. Hopefully surgery will be after the first of the year.

usually they just weigh you and get your height ask lots of questions. Dr. H gives you the big with notebook with all sort of information in it. keep it and read it over and over till you know it backwards and forwards. lol
he talks to you about the surgery and ask if you have any questions. ....if he gives you the white book he has accepted you as a patient then they tell you that if your insurance approves they will be calling to set up your surgery appointment and pre ops. ...that is about it. doesnt take too long really. well this is how it went two years ago may be different now lol ....

I am feeling Great! I am getting all my vitamins in and I am now getting at least one protein shake in. I know I need more shakes than that, but it is a lot better than what I was doing. When I first got out of the hospital I was not getting any shakes and "some vitamins" down. The weight is coming off and I am feeling back to normal (what ever normal is! LOL!)

I never realized how close to death I was after my surgery. Deb was there for me through it all! She definitely deserves a pair of angel wings. She always seemed to know when I needed a friend to talk to. I thank God for her, she has turned out to be one of my dearest friends!
