My Son Jarett needs your prayers!! PLEASE!

I know it seems that I have been asking for prayers alot lately... but it is ONLY when they are REALLY needed. For those of you that met Jarett when we came to the support group in Springfield or for ppl that know us around the Joplin community please read on... ( i hope others will too! )

   Today, Jarett played in a JYFA football game. Football is what he eat, breaths and lives for. He has done so well playing both offense and defense. He wa**** really hard today by the opposing team, the other players face mask hit him very hard in the temple. It moved his helmet to the side. He blacked out ( knocked out ) whatever you want to call it. When they got him awake and moved him off the field, he was at a loss for balance and was not good. It was a real scary moment for all of us. He said he was okay... We went to dinner with the team and he seemed okay.. He wasnt. Later we went to the urgent care, they said they couldnt see him that we needed to go straight to the hosp. After waiting 4.5 hrs he is finally seen and has a major concussion. I am a worry wort when it comes to my babies. He kept having dizzy spells, getting sick  it was real scarry!! I dont know what is normal for a concussion, but please pray for him. I am worry about the dizziness. He is such a sweet young boy for those of you that dont know him. He is the funny kid that will make you laugh when you are having a hard day. He is the comedian in class, in fact he is always getting into trouble for making kids laugh and even the teacher was having a bad day the other day and got on to him cuz he made her laugh and she wasnt wanting to be out of her "mood" i guess. He is the type of kid that will be friends with the 1 kid that everyone else picks on... Anyways, I am worried. It was so scary to see my baby black out like that and he keeps telling me he doesnt feel right. We just made it in and if he isnt better, then  we will go back to the Dr. tomorrow. I really am hoping for some serious prayers and I would do it for any of your kids. I know I have good women on here that really do care even if I dont always show it. LOri there is nothing that worries us like our babies, Of course i will say a prayer for him and have called our prayer line to put him on the prayer list.  Keep him as still as you can and let him rest. if he isnt any better by this evening yes i would take him to your regular doctor , it will make you feel better too.  Im sure he will be fine with some rest , it will take a few days...

Lori he is in my prayers, I know you are very worried but with a little time he will be fine, just keep your eyes on the Lord, everything will be fine......vesta

Thank You all for the prayers and kind words. I am sure he will be fine. I am going to have him sleep and rest as much as possible today. The dizziness *&* headaches scared me the most. But I do know he will be fine. I couldnt sleep very well, worrying about him and waking him up in the middle of the night like the doc said lol. Thanks again!

Lori, I will keep him in my prayers for a quick recovery and you as well for peace of mind.  I know how worrisom it can be when one of your kids are sick or hurt & there's nothing you can do but wait for them to heal.  Here's a BIG   ((((((((HUG)))))))) for you & Jarett.

I have to tell you a lil story. My grandparents were evanglist. My grandfather was preaching and this lady stood up and gave a testimony. She said "I thank God for my Burdens"...I was puzzled being young and I went to my grandfather the next day and asked him why she thanked God for her burdens....He told me that If it werent for burdens, We, would have nothing to go to God for in prayers....I guess that is true. If it were for all the heartaches, burdens, sickness..etc ..We wouldnt have to pray....I guess it was the way she worded it but It confused me now I know.....God Bless Craig Lee
