Is it normal to miss/have a late period post op?
I started my period after I came home from surgery, on the 15th of August. It was really long and heavy. Sorry if tmi!
I should have started again by now. I'm usually very regular, about 28-29 days. I'm just wondering if my cycle could be messed up from the rapid weight loss. Anyone know?
I have an IUD (paragard) so I shouldn't be pregnant. Kinda freakin out though.
Advice appreciated.

Brandy i dont know this first hand but i have been told by several doctors and wls patients that it takes awhile to get the periods regulated after surgery. You store hormones in fat cells and when you shrink those fat cells the hormones are released. So sometimes people that havent had a period in a year or more have periods for awhile. younger women have several at different times i hear. if you are worried i would go get a kit and see . it could be that you may need to be refitted for the IUD too, dont know .... only advice i would say is to check with your doctor about all of this. they would be more in tune with what you need to know.

I have been doing pretty good. I have got stuck in a stall. This week I have also been feeling a lot of discomfort on my left side around my rib cage. That is the side that had the drain tube because of the abcess. I am kind of scared that maybe somethng is going wrong. Don't worry I put a call into Dr. Price and waiting for Adrian (sp?). I also think I might have a Urinary tract infection! Oh well, I will get better some day!
It sounds like you are doing great! I wouldn't worry about your periods too much. Mine were pretty screwy the first couple of cycles after surgery.
