I know that the dr. have me on the 14 day liquid for a reason.  I do understand.  I'm sick to my stomach, very light headed, and tired. Lets not forget the horrible taste i have in my mouth (yuk).  Yes i know i can chew gum, but i don't want to have to do that all the time.  I'm on day 7 of my liquid diet and i thought it would get easier by now, but it is actually getting harder.  Sorry for whining.  I am open to all suggestion on how i can feel better.

Sorry I don't have anything to say as far as the diet just want to wish you luck and tell you that I hope it gets better for you soon.  I didn't have to do anything like that so I don't know how you feel.  You not to far from me here in Sedalia, maybe we can have a visit sometime.  Keep up the good work, you are a bigger girl then me I couldn't do it.  Marylin

Hey Double,

I'm so sorry you are not feeling well.  I know Momma Jan would tell you at this point to "keep you eye on the prize", isn't it so exciting that just one week from today it will all be over and we will be concentrating on the next stage of the game!?!

I've heard others say they experience similar situations and I also know some have called the office and told them of the extreme discomfort and they might have a suggestion as to something that will help?  Not sure but it is worth a try maybe....

I don't have to but will be doing the liquid diet with you this week... I want to make sure that my liver is shrunk real good before the surgeon gets in there.... all we are allowed is two protein shakes, diet jello and broth...

Hang in there dear lady it won't be long and this will be a thing of of the past for us.

Dr D didnt require a 2 week liquid diet when I did mine, actually he just required a light day of eating the day before surgery...but they change thier minds regularly about things. I did make my self do just 2 shakes a day and a light meal for a week prior tho.

I have heard that sometimes that you arent getting enough water and protien and that will make you feel this way. How much water are you consuming and how many grams of protien are you getting in?  Were you a big caffiene drinker before? That is probably what the headaches were from. You need to cut that out anyway as you shouldnt have it after surgery. But I just dont know about the upset tummy. I would do as Bec suggested and call the office to see what they say.

And I will once again tell you the same as all the rest. Keep your eye on the prize and just know that the bench is being polished up for you to slide on to, next to the rest of you big loosers!

GOD is my ROCK!   SUGAR

Yes, things have change since your surgery.  This two week liquid diet is a killer.  One I would have been fine, but after the forth or fifth day i just starting getting sick.
I have alway been a water dring, so i know caffine is not playing a roll in my sickness. Water is my favorite so that is the only norm i have right now.  We are required to have at least 100 gr of protein a day.
I know i shoudn't complain but i don't know what else to do.  I'm sitting here at work and i don't feel productive at all because my stomach is so upset.
This is day 8 and i know it will be over soon.  I"m really looking forward to my IV, mmm sounds good.
Thanks for listening, but sorry for whining.

Just this morning I was talking to someone that was complimenting me on my weight loss and I remarked I don't know how I did the 2 weeks of liquid protein.  I had already given up caffeine so I didn't have withdrawals from that.  Maybe that's not your problem either.  I had several flavors of protein mix and used milk instead of water for at least one shake a day.

I just kept telling myself it was for 2 weeks.  You really should call your doctor.  Maybe they have some suggestions for you.

Good luck!!
