Wow That was an awesome post Angy!  Thanks so much!  Thanks to everyone!  Its nice to have people you can ask what to expect.  Hopefully I'll be able to help people one day too.  I live in Springfield.  They ( columbia) had me go to mt vernon to see a psych dr there that took my insurance.  It was a 5hour eval.  OH my anyway he was really nice and he runs a support group there also.  If anyone needs info I can give you his number.  He's really nice.  I am for sure going to attend the meeting here in Springfield next monday.  I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.  Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it!  Best of luck to everyone.  (~.~)

I had my surgery 5/12 with Dr Delatorre, never meet him and I still havent but he did a great job.  If you can have someone stay with you in the hospital I would suggest it.  They are very busy on that floor and sometimes cant get to you very fast, I got left in the bathroom.  Luckily my husband was a sleep in the chair so I yelled for him to come get me.  When you take a pillow with you which you will need for the ride home make sure you put a colored or printed pillow case on it otherwise they all look alike.  Take something to read for the wait prior to surgery, my surgery was scheduled for 10am and I didnt have surgery till after 4pm.  It was a very long day.  I will be thinking of you.  Send me a message if you have any other questions or want more info and I can give you my cel phone.  Best of Luck Raynetta

I really appreciate all the advise and well wishes.  My husband is going to be there the whole time.  We go next week formy all day appointment fest and are going to check out hotels for him to stay in while I'm in the hospitol.  Looking forward to meeting some of you at the support meeting on Mon.  Thanks agian! Hi LR, I just wanted to tell you that the Stoney Creek Inn is where my family stayed both times I was up there.  It is a really nice hotel & with the Medical or Hospital rate is $60/night.  It is kind of a log cabin theme & is only like a little over a mile from the hospital.  There is also a Waffle House right next door.  There is not a fridge or microwave in the room, but there is a microwave in a commons area & if you really want a fridge you can rent one for $10/night & they will bring it to your room.   (((HUGS))) Angy
