Please, noone judge me. I truly think that would throw me over the top!! Seriously, I have been eating right, exercising and doing what I am supposed to and I havent lost any in over a week! I have lost 38 lbs and nothing more!! I dont know what to do? I know ppl have stalls, but 4 weeks out? Are you kidding me? This is making me crazy, I have been very blue about this and I am trying not to let it consume me- but it is!! I have cried most of this evening. Margie said not to weigh but monthly and I really should and wished I had listened. She also said she would like for me to get my protein in my food intake if possible. I told her that I have gotten very nauseated by drinking the protein drinks. I need to know if this is normal? What else can I do to make the weight start back coming off? I am looking for good advice or emotional support not to have anyone look down or talk down on me tonight, PLEASE!! I feel bad about myself without anyone else helping out in that dept. Thanks!

Don't get stressed out about not losing. I didn't lose anything for about 4 weeks, in pounds anyway but I lost inches..just keep on drinking your fluids and try and get your protein in.  I can't stand the protein drinks either and plain water makes my pouch hurt, so I drink a lot of watered down juice. I also drink v8 juice it has about 2 gr protein in it. Not alot but every little bit helps...
Don't give up,  just take it day by day.....

Lori, try not to get too down about it.  Everyone has stalls & at different times.   38 lbs is GREAT!!!  You should be really proud of yourself.
I know it's hard to stay off the scale, I think I have OCD when it comes to weighing.  (I weigh several times a day)  I don't know why I do it.  Wishfull thinking I guess, that maybe 10 lbs will instantly fall off.  lol  Maybe take your scale to a neighbor & tell them not to give it back to you untill a certain date.  I think I'm gonna have Lynn hide ours for a while too.
The shakes don't bother me, but I'm still having trouble getting in all the crazy pills I have to take.  I took one of my ulcer meds last night & I swear it went straight from my mouth to my stoma & got stuck there.  I was in pain for a good 2 hours.   Have you tried some of the lactose free milk?  I've been using Fat Free Dairy Ease.  It's cheaper than Lactaid & tastes the same.  I haven't had any trouble with the shakes making me nauseous since I switched to this.
As far as the stall & how to get the weight coming back off again, I don't know what to do.  I don't know if you can switch things up a little to get it going again, or if it just has to run it's course.  I'm not sure.  But I promise it won't last forever.  Just keep up the good work & let your body catch up, when it's ready, you'll start losing again.  (I know that's easier said than done)  You'll probably have to be helping me through this next week.  lol   Seriously, stalls are just a normal part of it so please, PLEASE don't let yourself get depressed over it.  You're doing FANTASTIC!!!!

Love ya girl!!!   Angy

Stalls happen even at 4 weeks, your body is going through a lot of changes. I know how depressing it can be I know I have been through it, matter of fact it happened several times through the first year. My longest stall lasted 4 weeks. At that point I thought for sure my surgery failed and I wasn't going to lose another pound, but after a lot of encouragement from my friends that also had RNY and experienced stalls I just waited it out and then after 4 weeks without changing anything I was already doing my weight loss started again. Now I am almost 2 years out and I still have hit some stalls from time to time.Like Beverly B said You can be loosing inches and not pounds. That can happen from exercise because you are developing some muscle mass and muscle weighs more than fat. There are things you can do to overcome stalls like changing your exercise and diet routines, but at this point I don't think you need to do anything like that. I know it's tough but just keep on doing what your doing, and I am confident you will start loosing again soon.

Good Luck and hang in there.

Oh honey keep your head up!!!  38lbs in 4 weeks is AWESOME!!!  Stalls are just a phase and they do go away.  You are a beautiful girl and are doing awesome with your surgery.  Just keep the protien going in and the liquids and keep to the exercise and it'll all work out.  Soon you'll be posting some wow moments and this stall will be nothing but a memory.  I love ya honey--you'll be fine.  I don't know why but I just have this connection with you and we've never even met.  I feel like we could be good friends.  I'll be here for ya.  Just keep your eye on the prize and keep marching down the street to thinner-ville.  (umm I guess lol I couldn't think of a good town name)  Take Care!

Lori,
good morning...... stalls are normal i had 1    4 weeks out too and it last a couple weeeks or so ..but you do still lose inches.. Dr Hi also told me to get my protein  in with food 1st as much as i could  so this protein shake debate isnt all that true...each and every 1 of us have to do whats best for us and that is get protein in how ever we can.... i couldnt do shakes for at least 4 months and now i only do em in am with coffee and get what i can in with food...i may not get in 90 grams or whatever it is but i do what I CAN and thats all we can do....but do try to get ur water in even if its tea or crystal lite or kool aide...any exercising u can ...im not a exercise person so i just try to keep moving and do things in house and yard....hang in there it will get better i promise....
love ya

I had surgery 8/11 and those evil scales stayed on 235 for 2 weeks .I weighed this yesterday was down to 232 and this morning 231. I have picked up my protein and i am hoping that is what is helping the scales move again . If you can't drink the protein add it to foods anything to get it in. The vanilla body fortress from walmart is not at all bad tasteing, tatse like vanilla and it is cheap. no protein taste  ,at least not for me, i add 1 scoop to 4 ozs of milk it is not thick at all and do this 3xs a day. you get 26 grams per scoop. At this early stage in our journey we honestly have to think as protein as a med we have got to have in order to be healthy and live. Later some of us will be able to get enough through foods ,others will still have to drink a shake a day maybe two to meet our required amount. I hope you can find away to get it in or some kind you like.
