Protein

I read on someones post that you dont want to premix protein and leave it in the fridge because bacteria will start growing, especially with whey based protein, that has no preservatives. And it.needs to be drank within 30 min or the protein begins to break down. Anyone know if this is true or not?And PLEASE do NOT yell at me for asking a simple question. My feelers get hurt easy, LOL.
I don't wanna get sick by leaving it in the fridge all day.

I heard that once too .....
I think ??? I read in in some of the literature  for my ON Whey that you were suppose to drink it with in the first 15/20 minutes after mixing it up because it loses it potency after an amount of time.... I asked the NUT about it when I saw her and she said she had never heard of that but said she did not specialize in the protein mixes....

I wonder if there is some kind of web site  for the protein you use that you could go to and ask???

I will be interested to know what you find out...

I' ve just done some research and found a couple forums on the subject and am finding that about half say its no good to do that and the other half saying it's fine.  Some say it causes  "Distended Belly" which Im not sure what that is, I've seen some say they been mixing shakes at night to take to work with them in the mornings and never had trouble, it got me curious cuz my wife makes me a shake in the mornings while Im out walking, it dont sit all that long but it stays cold and all and so far I havnt had any trouble so who knows really what is right or wrong.  Surely someone knows some where.  It's a good question tho, hopefully we can find out!!

As far as the protein drinks, they can be mixed and sipped on throughout the day. The protein doesn’t break down if kept cool. You want to always practice food safety. If you’re using milk and it gets warm or is expired, then yes, there could be a bacteria issue. If you leave a lot of saliva in your beverages and then let them get luke warm, you may have growth of bacteria. Other than that, using cleaned, sanitary containers and keeping the product below 40 degrees, you should be able to sip on them throughout the day.
