My tongue is black! Help!

Anyone else experienced this? I have a black spot on my tongue. I tried to bru**** off with my toothbrush, but it's not budging. I thought I read something about it on the RNY board once, but can't remember what was said about it.

Any advice?

dont have any idea. maybe thrush? is it sore? maybe post on the main board about it and someone on there will remember what it is....other wise maybe call your surgeons office tomorrow. wow thought i had hear every thing but never hear that one. let us know ok?

Black? wow girl I never heard of that---what you been eatin over there in Clinton???  Just joking---I'd definately call the doc tomorrow and ask--and post on the main board as Jan suggested maybe someone knows something

This is probably far out there, but pepto bismol causes your tongue to go black, other than that I'm out of ideas.

I have had mine turn black all over from taking pepto bismol once and it was a hoot to look at! lol! I think some other types of stomach meds can do it too!
