Hi Jan

Are you a member of CMA? We are members in the Spirit of the High way chapter, St Roberts, MO.  Are you going to Carthage this next weekend?  Just wondering.

Well, there are 28 minutes left for Saturday, so I guess this counts right?!?

Thanks again for the warm welcome and yes I hope to have Dr. Hornbostel as my Doctor, Hubby knew him the 90's, he about snapped his head when I mentioned his name, LOL!

Busy day today, lots of laundry and cleaning. Took our older Son to see Wall-E, then did some shopping on my own and bought a new workout video (10 Minute Solution) and I love it.

Getting ready for bed now, not sure if I will be able to slee*****t but will give it my best try, have a baby shower tomorrow afternoon. Busy!

Morning Everyone!

Been worried about daughter & her family in Norfolk, VA and finally got a hold of her on her cell and she said it was a little windy there and raining - whew the hurricane was now listed as tropical storm.  Steph told me to "relax Mom we live 2 miles from the beach in a sturdy brick house"  Kids - what do they know...  She is counting down the days also.  They are leaving VA on the 16th so they should be here sometime on the 17th.  I need to find some toys for an almost 4 year old boy as it has been almost 2 years since they were here and he is going to need something to keep him busy.

Also need to kind of child proof the house - get all my meds and cleaning supplies up and out of sight.

Hit 1 garage sale yesterday and got a comforter set with attached bed ruffle, sheets, pillow cases and throw pillow for $5.  I love it as it will go perfect on the guest room bed.  Also got a water/tea dispenser for 75 cents which sell for almost $4 at walmart and a few jungle animals for dil *****did the kids bathroom in that theme.  Almost forgot the lamp & shade for $2 which will go perfect in the living room.  So I did alright especially at the farmer's market when I got green peppers for 3/$1 - I chop them up and freeze them then vacume seal them in bags.  We use alot of them in soups etc...  Have not done any onions this year & I usually have them in the freezer ready to use also.

I just love the new Reynolds handheld vacume sealer as I have reused the bags a couple of times when you take something out and can re-seal it.  It is so easy to use and the cost of the bags make it so easy compared to my big one!

I love riding motorcycles but have not been on one in years.  I am motorcycle qualified on my divers lic also.  I was 17 when I did that and drove a 120 Yamaha all over for several years.

Not able to get into the garden yesterday as it was to muddy to pick beans and it looks like I am not going to be able to do them today also from the rain last night.

Going to sort clothes out today to re-sale or to donate to the outreach mission.  I have a whole over flowing clothes basket full of bras in which I have tried to find the right size this past year.  Lesson learned - It pays to take the time and try them on before buying them.

Had liver & onions last night and it was so good and so tender.  I am still having a time getting used to my new dentures but I will prevail!

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Shannon
