More Trouble

Sorry people if TMI but. . .  I went to the bathroom earlier (BM), haven't went since Tuesday when I had to go to the ER.  It was really bloody again.  Still bright red.  Now common sense tells me that if this was still blood from Tuesday, it wouldn't be bright red still.  So I called the bariatric fellow on call at University Hospital.  I explained to him what happened Tuesday & told him about my latest bm experience.  He said that he really didn't think that it was blood from the stone passing through the common bile duct.  He said that it is an awfull long way from the common bile duct to the rectum & the blood wouldn't be bright red by the time it came out.  I told him that's what I thaught too, but what do I know.  He said it could be many things including hemoroids, I know I don't have these because I just had my colonoscopy right before my surgery & they said there were none.  He also said that since I wasn't in any unusual pain or having frequent BM's that he didn't think it was an emergency, but he does want me to call the office tomorrow & be seen within the next couple of days.  Since it's the weekend, I don't know what they'll say, come up tomorrow or wait 'till Monday.  My parents are coming home first thing in the morning, that way when I need to go, they can get me there.  I'll keep ya all posted on what I find out.   (((HUGS))) Angy

you dont really have to have a hemoride for your rectum to bleed if the stool was hard it can put a small tear in the anus. and cause it to bleed. that is about the only thing i can think of that would cause bright red blood. ...that is how hemorids get started is by tearing when you have a hard stool

Hi Jan, it wasn't hard.  I've not really had anything of any consistancy other than liquid & very little soft food.  So my bm is really mushy.  I would understand if I were constipated or had hard stools, but I don't.  I just want to quit having problems & feel good again.   Thanks, Angy

Dang it Ang!  I wish you would get better and stay better.  I wish I could trade shoes for a day just to give you a break from all this crud.  Keep us informed please.

Deb you sound more positive and optomistic...I like that.  I assume you are feeling at least a tad better?  Did you try the eggs in broth I posted to you?
