Update: My Friend Kris!!!

I just talked to her mom and she said that she has made a baby step to the better.  They didn't have to put her on the respirator totally(to breathe for her).  They have actually weaned her down to only 45% oxygen from 65%.  They also went in and did her surgery to clean her out again today and said that it looked much better than they had thought.  She also said that if she stays on this road of recovery that she will go back in on Friday and be cleaned out one more time and her incision closed up( it is still open right now).  She is retaining so much fluid right now that they can't close her up.  They plan on removing the respirator on Saturday and if that goes well they will move her out of icu.  The doctor also said that all in all she will be in the hospital about a month.  It is such a wonderful change from a couple days ago.  They even let her daughter go in and see her today.  I just want to say thank you for all of your prayers, and please keep them in mind as they still have a long road to go.  Hugs,  Layla
