WHATS HAPPENING FOR SATURDAY

Well what do you know it did it….yesterday at 2pm it rained and the sun was shining , old wifes tale says that if it rains and the sun shines it will rain again tomorrow at the same time. And it did. ….lol really it did. Just rained for a little while and quite. . it got so muggy that we had to shut the windows and turn the a/c back on. Darn it.
I was out digging in my bog garden and I have lots and lots of water Iris. Any of you that have a water garden or bog area…if you would like some let me know. You have to keep them contained in pots tho or they will take over the place…if they keep their feet wet enough they will have pretty yellow iris on them …but if they are just in dry ground they will put up these very tall iris leaves…about 5 ft tall. Nice backdrop for other things ..
If anyone wants any let me know …I have a lot. If you have a big swampy area that is ugly you could plant them there and be pretty
I posted some retro blonde tables on Craigslist. I have had 2 hits on them all ready. Hope I can sell them . I found them in the rental house when we were cleaning it up. Joe was going to throw them on the burn pile and I wouldn’t let him. He couldn’t understand why someone would want those. That is the reason I hope I sell them lol
Barbara Scott emailed me and said that she was sorry that she wouldn’t be able to be at the reunion this year after all. Her brother is coming in that Saturday and she hasn’t seen him in a long long time. Years I think she said. Barbara im so so sorry that we wont get to see you there this year. Love you and will miss you a lot.
Now I have a room available in the house for the reunion. I believe that is a queen size bed in it. So if you need a room let me know I will put you down for that room ok?
Well shoot I had to turn the a/c on this afternoon, hope I can turn it back off as soon as the sun goes down. just got way to clammy.
We finally got our truck back this afternoon, it isnt perfect but will do . they said that it really should have been totaled , still cant see that, more of this mentatity of throw away and get new. I was raised you fix it till it cant be fixed no more. Lol
We will be taking the tuna can back to the rental company this morning . have to be there before noon so will have to get up and sort of hurry. I will go to home depot while over there and see if they have a roll of black plastic so we can cover the grass where we want a garden.
Andy and I finally got to walk our two miles today…we were walking at 6:30 but now it is already 7 am before it is really light enough for us to walk. I always wait and drink my first protein drink after we get back from walking.
We are still trying to get it down to 30 minutes. we will get there I know.
Well I guess I will close for now. And get to bed in a little while , I sleep so hard and so long now that by 10 pm im really ready for bed . and my good sleeping buddy mr. O2 lol
Andy sorry i didnt see you post last night before i got the new letter typed.
will see you in the morning agin for serious walking.
LOVE AND HUGS
GOD BLESS

Yipee I will have fresh green beans in a few days! The rain really helped now if can just keep the bugs at bay. The garden is almost done - we have to dig carrotts, beets & onions then hopefully I can get a few heads of cabbage as well as the tomatoes.
I am on call today so will have to make sure my cell is charged up and with me if I leave the house. I hate this mandatory on call every 4 weeks but where else can I get paid for just being avaliable... I have to be within 30 minutes of the hospital so that leaves going out of town, getting your hair cut, so I guess I will do my bi-weekly walmart run, aldis and the farmers market and maybe hit a garage sale or 2 today.
WOW MOMENT - Got into My first pair of size 12 jeans! The sales clerk told me I really needed a size 10 but I felt better in a 12 due to my hernia at this time. Everyone keeps telling me I am to skinny but am finally starting to feel good! I never dreamed I would be down to this size. The last time I wore a 12 was in grade school so so many years ago. Even with all the complications I have had with my RNY yes I would still do it again!
Jan - you asked if I would be down for the reunion - I really don't know yet as I will be down for Labor Day weekend and then 2 weeks later when and if dd comes out so we can all be together before they go to Japan. I got out of having a housefull of people Labor Day weekend as I just don't feel up to having them all come and Dad said if you aren't going to be here then don't have them come. Whew!!! I almost feel like I am being selfish as 1 cousin has not been here in over 20 years. I would love to see her but not that weekend. Have not emailed her back yet as I am chicken! So 3 trips to Springfield 3 weeks in a row is out of the question for now. I just can't afford it.
Have a great weekend Everyone and stay safe!

Sounds like you got a lot of stuff out of your garden even if it did rain and rain. is it too late to plant a fall garden yet? I dont know a lot about veggies , am reading and trying to learn tho.
I wanted to plant a fall garden but dont know if i can get the ground ready in time for that.
way to go on the size 12 jeans after you have that hernia removed you can probably get in the 10s . .
hope to see you soon.... take care .

Will be in Spf 8/31 to 9/1 then back down on the 19th thru the 21st. I just don't think I can swing it money wise as it costs so much and my car is not getting the best gas mileage.
Just got taken off call after I turned down a trip to Columbia with friends. Couldn't catch up with them as they had already left. So now I have no excuse not to start cleaning the house. Did get my now famous splenda apple pie in the oven and a brisket in the crock pot.
Bought green peppers at the farmers market for 50 cents each. I chop them up and freeze them, then bag them with my new Reynold's Vacume Sealer. I love it! The bags are so much cheaper than for my other one. Best $10 I have spent in a long time! Also bought some peahes and a cantelope at the market. It was poring down rain but it was fun.
