Websites That Give Out Samples....
Lori,
Don't have an answer for you but wanted to say that if you are looking for protein powder that you like the taste of you may never find one. They sound soooo good - cookies and cream or vanilla ice cream - but actually they all have some taste and some smell. I use ON AnyWhey unflavored powder and it does have some flavor but the reason we drink them is not because they are delicious but because we have to have the grams of protein. As Jan always says, most of us have tasted about everything in the world, it's why we got overweight in the first place. Now we just have to learn to eat to live. I like good tasting things alot - but I try to fight that battle every day. It is really true that nothing tastes as good as thin and healthy feels.
I will admit that I never really went through depression or despair about what I couldn't ever eat again - once I started to lose noticable weight I was so excited that I about flew over the moon. But every day it seems a little harder to maintain the loss so I envy those of you who are in that first six month honeymoon period when you really can't eat too much without paying the price and the only hunger you really have is head hunger. Try to stay busy and get plenty of sleep. Remember to keep yourself nourished with the protein drinks and water, be faithful in taking your vitamins and any other medicines you need and put eating food at the bottom of your list of things to do and you'll be so amazed at where you'll be in a few months.
You are such a cutie pie I can't wait to see your "after" picture. Also, remember the best advice my former MIL ever gave "In five years you'll wonder what the big deal was". She had 13 kids and that was the most useful thing she ever told me. Also, journal what you are concerned and worried about today and then go back and look at it in 6 months and you'll be amazed that most of it is gone or never happened at all - and you've wasted time worrying for no good reason.
OK, my sermon is over!!! I love you all and want you to do well and enjoy the life you're being given. God has been so good to all of us. Remember to thank Him.
Hugs,
Lana

Lana,
What a great reply! I took your "sermon" to heart! ~tee hee
Where do you get your ON unflavored protein powder... I was with Debbie D. this week and we went into GNC to get it and they don't carry it... do you order it online? Does Food for Less in Springfield carry it? How much is it?
We put it in Cherry Crystal Light and it was pretty good as protein goes... that would make it clear liquid and I could have it also right out the gate...
Thanks for the info.

Unjury and Vitalady both had sample packs. I liked that idea and found some I really liked and some I didn't. My favorites from Vitalady is Mochacappuccino(?). It's the Omni Nutrition Whey powder. Tried GNC brand vanilla and didn't like at all and they didn't have samples. I traded the vanilla for ON chocolate carmel and it's really good.
What one person really likes, the next person can't stand so it's trial and error. I've tried several vanillas and don't like them even with fruit added.
I do recommend getting sample packs, then you're not stuck with a cannister you can't stand.
