WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

Rain, rain , go away, little Jan wants to play. Has it been raining where you are? It has been raining here for two days now. Darn…..Andy and I are going to have to grow web feet to be able to get our walks in. I told him we need to get us some rain ponchos and just go ahead and walk. Of course we weren't’t here most of the day today. So I don’t know we might have had some time to walk …

 

Well I guess the fall rains have sit in now so probably wont get a fall garden in but intend to get the garden area all ready and grass killed off …Monday I want to buy a big roll of black plastic so I can spread it out where we want the garden and get all the grass killed so it wont be so hard to spray with weed killer.

Once that is done then we will have it tilled and spray it again.

So maybe we will have it all killed off by spring. I'm getting ready to order some fruit trees from Stark bros. unless someone knows of a nursery locally that has good ones. At less than 25.00 a piece.

Pretty expensive but good return on the money . I have to learn about them tho cause I know nothing about apples and peaches and other fruits  …

 

   Well they finally put the price of watermelons back down to a half way reasonable price. Alto at 3 dollars really isn't cheap. LOL I remember when no im not going there kids but lets just say tha****ermelons used to be sold so cheap that you could have one every night of the week for less than I paid for one.

 

Don’t know what I will do today, depends if it rains all day or not. We are suppose to get our Truck back Friday. So we can take that little tin can we have been driving back to the rental place. The only thing nice I can say about that rental car is that it is cheap on gas.

We have had it about 3 weeks and have put only 4 tanks of gas in it and during that time we went to Frederick town and back in it.and all around here. It is getting about 30 miles to the gallon…and that is on hills and stuff. Wouldn't’t mind having one to drive back and forth to like Springfield and such but not on really long trips, you feel like your butt is sitting on the pavement. Lots of good leg room up front in both the passenger and drivers side but nothing in the back, possible a couple of young teenagers on down in age could ride back there but no one else.

 

Sheila, are you back among the living yet? We are all anxious to hear you are all right.

WOW has this been quite a week!!!!  I can't stay and tell you about the rest of it since the test... I will try and do it tomorrow as we got a call last night and are on the road again to day....

im like you i dont think i will get to do the fall garden either becos of SURGERY heck im not supposed to do a lot of things for at least 6 weeks dang it....wanted to go canoeing and swimming  oh well/.... Dr H said i was gonna feel like a NEW woman now when i healed so thats good news!!! i just love him and Margie they are such GREAT people...
im feeling pretty good today so far and i get to DRIVE yeah lol i miss my car when i cant drive...
JAnet im waiting on this  couldnt find 1 with umbrella's...YOU NEED to get busy taking care of YOURSELF NOW!!!!!

so if i cant get size on clothes do i not bring em?

so glad to see you back on here .yeah dont you dare start doing a lot and tear something that Dr. H just put back together. at least you can drive that is good.
you know there is always next year to do the things and the way the weather has been this year theere might be a time to do it in Oct or November to go canoeing lol

Looking forward to seeing you Monday night at the meeting. I know when you heal from these surgerys you will feel like a new woman but i didnt see anything wrong with the old one. lol

Good Morning, Jan & MO Peeps!

Wow, everyone is in a hurry this morning!  Jan, how much rain have you all gotten?  We've gotten very little here.  It is really pleasant outside this morning.  We're planning on killing the grass in our front yard this fall and bringing in topsoil and seeding it.  Apparently the builder just put top soil over a bunch of rocks (little and BIG) which has been washed away over the years.  We can get the topsoil for free so we figure doing it this way will be a lot cheaper than sod.  We also need to lift our upper deck.  DH has been waiting until it got cooler.  Lots to do as usual.

I've got to fold the towels then my laundry will be done for the week.  I am subbing 1/2 day today for a 3rd grade class.  Won't be a bad way to start the new school year.  Thankfully, the antibiotic is helping my sinus infection.  Still wake up with a head ache but it's getting better.

Bec - I saw you posted at 3:13 AM!  Girl, aren't you getting any sleep?  Hope all is well with you and yours.  Will be praying for you.

Sheila - Glad you're back home and feeling better.  I can only imagine how great you'll feel when you are completely healed!  I agree, Dr. H and Margie are the BEST!

Phyllis - Welcome to the board.  I had my wls 3/7/07 so just a few months ahead of you.  I have times when I have horrible gas and the runs....thankfully not too many.  It's usually something I ate that I shouldn't have.  Have you had your gb taken out?  Maybe that could be it?  Hope it gets better.

Hi Debbie, sounds like you all have a lot of stuff planned for this fall , Yardwork is a never ending thing around here seems like I continue to find things to do to make it prettier or nicer or something. . why are you killing the grass you have already there tho? It will come up thru the top soil that you put down , is it not good grass?

Glad the antibiotics are working well to clear up the sinuses .

Hello to everyone!

Pray for some sun today..Im supposed to take Chloe (youngest gd) to white water today. Weve been looking forward to it.

Sheila, if you can put tags on it just make sure they have tags in them and divide them into pile of sizes. Ive made signs to put above the piles for folding clothes...the tags just make it easier so people dont have to dig to find the size of something...saves having a big pile of mess~!

Please pray everyone that they call Chelle today to sign and close on the house...she is so anxious to get moved in and frankly Im ready to have my house back...lol! Love them but a week with 3 extra people in my house is enough...lol! Hopefully we will be busy moving the rest of her stuff to the new house this weekend and getting her somewhat settled.

Well I need to go and get ready to head south...sis, dont suppose you were planing on going into Branson anytime today were you? We might meet you somewhere later...LOVE TO ALL!
