Ok you old timers, I've got a question for you!!!
What protein source do you try to keep with you, in case you get in a bind? I was out and about today for longer than I had anticipated. All of a sudden, I got that weak, I've got to have some energy now, feeling. Remember, I'm only on stage 2 right now, but would also like ideas for later on.
Now remember, I'm in Osceola, which has nothing but a grocery store, so I went in and found the healthiest peanut butter they had and went to the car and ate a little. Instantly felt better. I thought about milk later and could have gotten that, but thought it would be nice to have something for emergencies in the car.
Thanks in advance!
Liz
I guess I'm an old timer. LOL......... What I do is keep Peanut butter crackers in my car. They are very low in sugar. The ones at Wal Mart that come about 12 in a box for about 2 dollars.
Protein bars are good to keep in the car also. I don't know about stage two. I would guess if you chewed really good the crackers would work.
Milk be careful with because all milk including skim has about 12 grams of sugar which is way too much for most of use. I use Carb Countdown it only has 3 grams and has some protein as well. Comes in Chocolate and white. I buy it at Walmart.
Hope I helped. Maybe someone else will answer your question as well.
