I have lost 28 lbs!!! I have noticed that my stomach has gone down some... but I thought by losing almost 30 lbs you would notice it more... NOT one person has made a comment that I look thinner or something... nothing! Should I be concerned? I am excited and keep going to reach my goal, but I dont know why noone has noticed? Has this bothered anyone else?I have lost 21 since I left the hosp last thurs!! I think I am doing great, but I dont see a big difference and I am not getting ANY compliments... so maybe my scale is off? How do I set a digital scale? Do I need to re set it or anything? Any help would be great... Feeling a little down right now. Thanks.

GIRL!  DON'T FEEL DOWN!  28lbs is NOTHING to sneeze at.  Go to the store and lift 5, 5lb bags of sugar and see what that feels like.  Bet you can't even lift that!!  I think that sometimes people don't say anything until you've lost a bunch and they can really tell.  Maybe they think "oh, she is looking good, but what if she hasn't really lost", then they would be embarrassed.  Don't you hang your head at all.  I, for one am proud of you!!

Holy freakin' cow, Lori! 21 pounds since you left the hospital!!! I'm so jealous! I lost 21 on the liquid diet presurgery, but have only lost 5 pounds since I left the hospital. I am a bit discouraged, but think it probably has something to do with me starting my period the day after I got home. I usually gain 5 pounds during my monthly visitor so I'm hoping once it's gone I'll start dropping more quickly.
No one has noticed that I have lost either. However, yesterday, in class, my teacher said I looked good. She knew I had surgery last week, but not what type of surgery I had.

Keep it up, ya big loser!

Hi Lori, I think because we're big it's gonna take more for people to really notice.  I've lost 34 lbs so far, only 9 since home from the hospital & no one except for Skyler has said anything to me either.  I'm anxious to get into a smaller size clothes, but I don't know how close that is either.  You're doing FANTASTIC!!!!  So don't let it bother you too much.  We'll get there.

I get all the staples & drain out tomorrow, I'm hoping that I'll feel better & be able to be on here more.

Love ya & (((HUGS)))  Angy

No one commented about me looking thinner until I'd lost 40-50 pounds. Then when I got closer to goal they kept telling me I was tooooo thin. No way, Jose but I know it is annoying that no one notices. I agree that it is because we were really large and they just quit paying attention to our bodies and I thought maybe some of the men I work with thought it would be sexual harassment. Also, some folks assumed I had cancer or something!!!
Who knows. The main thing is we know we are doing something to take care of ourselves and the prize at the end is work any frustration along the way.
Hugs,
Lana

Don't feel down.  You are doing fine.  I'm 6 weeks out and have lost right at 30 lbs.  It does show on me and I get a lot of complients.  Hubby is so proud of me.  A lot probably depends on how you're built.  I'm short and was (still am) carrying a lot weight in my tummy/rear.  My face is also thinner.

You will get up one morning and really be able to see the difference.  Some people probably notice you look different but just not sure what it is.  They will notice so don't worry about it.
