Beverly sounds like you are haviing lots of wow moments....walking the grandson to death, getting up off the floor by yourself, and pain level in knees and back lots less. wow isnt wls great?
Sugar couldnt and still cant stand the smell of protein powder...she uses isopure...taste like watered down koolade to me lol but glad there was something for her that she could use and good for you too for hunting and finding something.
isnt it crazy how things that we didnt care that much for before surgery are what we are wanting the most.
but i dont understand why lettuce with out tomatoes , come on now. that is a pretty lame salad isnt it? lol
Sounds like you are doing well now that you got it sort of figured out. it certainly is a learning time isnt it? Seems like you think you know everything about it and then you have surgery and seems like the rules all change or something . but it will all settle down in your head soon. and it will become second nature.

Hello Missouri,
Don't have much time. I'm an Olympics junkie and have to get back to my "drug" of choice.

Shannon - if you are wanting to gain weight why are you eating "lite" Italian dressing? Just a thought. You may be unintentionally still "dieting". If you want to gain try regular foods. You don't need to do sugars but try fried foods. I expect the potatoes at KFC are what made you feel bad. However, I'm sure not an expert. Nothing makes me dump and I can eat lots it seems to me. I eat things that would curl your hair!!!

Jan, you and Andrew make me jealous. I am going to have to get to walking - we have a new group at work that is going to do a project until December. I think they are trying to kill me. All the others are much younger than I am. But I'm gonna try to keep up.

See you all Monday night. Seems like I'm really missing you guys this month. Can't wait.

Hugs,

Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

Hi Jan, Thanks for your concern.  We have a cystern & there is a leak in the wall of it, plus in our pipe to the pump.  If we leave it plugged up it sprays out like crazy, so we are constantly unplugging it.  It won't be hard to fix, but Lynn has been working all the time trying to make up the time he missed with me in the hospital, he just hasn't had time.  It hurts so bad for me to bend over right now because of these stinkin staples & drain, so it would be tough for me to plug/unplug it all the time.  Mom & dad are gone, so we have their whole big house to ourselves & it's been kinda nice.  I got alot of bottled water for me to drink.  But I've really been having trouble drinking very much.  Today I've only had 25 oz & 2 sf popcicles.  I feel so stuffed & bloated that I don't think I could possibly get in another ounce but I am trying.  This is the most I have been able to get in since surgery.

Angy is that all you have gotten in is water? hopefully when you get the drains and staples out you will feel better. seems like most all of you improve as soon as they are removed...
is it Thursday that you go back to the doctor? i hope so the soon the better huh?
just keep on keeping on. that is all you can do. are you not getting any protein in at all?
like the chicken broth or something?
