Why?Why?Why?
I first want to tell you how bad I feel for you. I think since u basically had 2 surgeries in one that is causing alot of your pain and discomfort. I had it on Tuesday and seem to be pretty much pain free. I am tired as all out at the end of the day. ( dont mean to rub it in your face ) I just want you to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I would say this though, I did the sf popsicles and they gave me the worst gas pain ever!!! I think it was cuz u slurp in the juice and when u do that your taking in air. But, I had some last night and was fine... So, maybe this early out and with all the other pains you are having... I wouldnt suggest the popsicles at this time... Take care and best of Luck!!!

I fixed hubby and daughter omletes for supper and oh myyyyyyyyyyy did they smell good, i wanted so badly to just take a small nibble but i didn't. i think i am just wanting something with a flavor to it.

First off Beef broth is nasty lol! I use chicken brith mostly. Sometimes I will do vegi broth. I add my own seasonings. I cannot think of the name but it is some sort of all in one seasoning. Swanson is the best i think. You can actually taste the chicken in it. You can strain soups also but for me it is cheaper to get brith and I can season mine pretty well. I also head someone saying she makes her own by boiling a chicken wing in water and adding her own seasoning. She gave detail but I cannot find the post now.
Hi Deb,
I will be 6 wks thursday and I questioned myself for about a month. It is getting a little better but some days its iffy..lol..I know I did this to become healthier..and I am already. My knees don't hurt nearly as bad as they did. I could barely walk..I can wear clothes that I haven't been able to get into in a long time..I notice changes everyday. I don't care how many books you read, how many people you talk to and how many post you read, NOONE can prepare you for this surgery. Its a one day at a time thing. I can't figure out how to eat because I get so thirsty in between times. I am afraid I am going to eat to much to fast...but I will learn that..After the tuna challenge I am afraid to eat anything new..I can't figure out how to take my supplements because it seem like I take so many. But I am trying really hard to get them all in because I know how important they are..I hate protein drinks but have to have them for life..so I better get used to it.. Nothing taste good except cottage cheese and tomato soup, hate anything remotely sweet...I could go on and on, that is why I haven't post much since I had my surgery because I didn't want to discourage anyone waiting to have this surgery. The one thing I can hold onto is almost everyone has gone thru these same feelings and as the time goes by they say it gets better and better so that is my hope.
The one thing I can say is I didn't have the pain they said you would probably have from the gas. I didn't have very much trouble releasing it..lol..
My drain was very painful I was bent over double trying to walk the last few days..crying it was so painful. IT was immediate relieft when they took it out..I thought it would really hurt when they took it out but it didn't..only blessed relief...good luck on your journey..just hang in there...

Hi Beverly
Thanks for responding. I too hate the sweet stuff and it seems like to me anyways that sugarfree is sweeter than sweetened. What happened with the tuna fish? i am looking forward to cream soups and scrambled eggs.I too am hoping it gets better and better.
I know what you mean about the drain and walking it is so painful. Hopefully Thursday they will remove it and i hope it dosent hurt. Good luck on your journey also.

Oh I waited and prayed for the day I could have tuna..I fixed my tuna with a little mayo, got my medicine cup and measured 2 spoonfuls out..ate it ever so slow (I thought, probably ate it to fast.) and just as fast as it went down it came right back up. I was just sitting here and my mouth started watering and I got sick. I didn't really feel sick it just came back up...I hope this is not tmi...lol
I should have known something was wrong because from the 1st bite I took it felt like a rock in the middle of my chest..anyway Jan said the same thing happened to her but the next week it was alright. I hope I can eat tuna as I love tuna salad.
It seem to me like everything smells so good but when I put it in my mouth it taste awful. I couldn't drink any broths as they tasted like metal..so I just stuck with cottage cheese and tomato soup..
