Home Sweet Home

It's good to be home. We got home about 2 p.m. today. Everything seems to be going well. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting. (fingers crossed) I'm constantly sipping water except 30 minutes before and after meals, and my pain seems to be under control. I am having some major gas pains though. I know its from the surgery, but I can't seem to get it to move. Do you think a warm heating pad on my tummy would help get things going? I have some dulcolax and MOM, but am waiting until tomorrow to see if I can have a bm on my own (sorry tmi).

My doctor sent me home with a script for Lortab and a stomach pill which I can remember the name of. Well, apparently my prescription insurance co. requires preauthorization for the stomach pill so I can't get it until they talk to my doctor. Grrrr! It's supposed to prevent me from getting an ulser.

I get to start my protein shakes on Friday and then my vitamins on Monday. I'm resuming my lexapro and synthroid tomorrow.

Things seem to be going smoothly. Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement

good to have you home with no pain. walking will help move the gas pains also gas x strips about 3 of them at one time. I dont think i would do a lax. right now. it will happen on its on you got to remember liquids dont make much bm lol

Brandy, sounds like you're doing really well.  I did have severe nausea and vomiting for a couple days but no gas pain.  I belched a lot and still do.  Hope that goes away soon.  Definitely wouldn't take a laxative right now.  You've not had much to eat for a few days so you can't expect to have much "going" out.

I see Dr. Price today for my second post-op visit.  I'm hoping the visit doesn't include the physiologist but it probably does.
