WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY
Hi everyone, it has been a long time since I jumped on the board and posted. I hope you don't mind me jumping back in. I am a little over 2 years post-op andfell way off track for probably the past 9 months or so. Actually gained 15 back and am now losing again (lost 18 in the past month). I am just revisiting the way I ate right after surgery and trying not to let the old habits creep back into play. I have horrible issues with hypoglycemia now that I have lost the weight and I guess I should be counting calories and carbs and paying closer attention to what I put in my mouth, but admit it is just as hard for me as it was before surgery.
Hi, Jan & Mo Peeps!
Wow, another busy day. Had a doctor's apt this morning. Then had lunch with dh and did a little grocery shopping. Making a big dinner tonight. Grilled pork chops, baked ranch poatoes, corn on the comb and of course tomatoes! Hubby just called and said that his friend, Dennis, wanted him to stop buy for awhile on his way from work. DH and Dennis have been scouting together for 7 years. Dennis' dad just passed away this morning. Please pray for him and his family. His Dad, Louie, died from old age. I think he was close to 90. So it's a good thing I have a little oven to keep everything warm in.
Jan - I actually have 2 Jack Terry pictures I'd like to sale. One is 30 x 26 and is called Sleighbells and Moonlight. It is signed by Jack Terry. It's in a beautiful Maghony (sp?) frame. There is an envelope on the back of the frame where the certificate of authencity goes, however, it's not in there. The other is 16 x 14 and is a beautiful maghony from as well. The name of it is Freedom Trail. If you, or anyone else is interested, please email me your email address and I will send you a picture of them. Jack Terry is kind of light Thomas Kincaid only with a western fell. The Sleighbells and Moonlight is framed in blue and shows a old time chapel with lights coming from it and has a horse drawn sleigh on it. The smaller one is framed in green and has cowboys riding horses on it. We have 3 other large ones we have hung in our home. DH would NEVER get rid of the ones we have hanging. Just didn't have room for these two.
Yes, Jake has pink eye. Yes, he missed his first day of 8th grade! He also has some type of viral infection. The doctor gave him antibotic eyedrops and his eye looks so much better. Actually, it's perfectly clear. So he will be able to wear his contact tomorrow. He had just opened a new pair and I made him throw them both away along with the contact lense container. Bought him a new container and he will have to open another pair of contacts. I'm glad he can wear his contacts because his glasses are an old prescription and he really couldn't see that well out of them. His viral infection is gone now. He had stomach cramps, sore throat, etc. Glad that's over with too. Hopefully, the rest of us won't get it!
Shelia - I am praying for you. I know Dr. H will take good care of you! When Dr. H did my internal hernia surgery he used 4 ports he had used for my rny. Maybe he can do the same for your gallbladder? Anyway, I know it's lap and the recovery time is only a few days. I'm sure you will feel so much better when that thing is taken out.
Brandy - wow you actually posted a day after your sugery! Way to go! Glad you are doing so good. When do you think you'll be able to go home? Welcome to the losers bench. Please keep us posted on your progress.
How did the other girls do? Lori, Liz and Deb. Yes, Jan , I couldn't remember Deb and that's my name. Pitiful I know! lol
The rest of the MO Peeps - hope you all have had a great day!

I just love this weather, I wi****'d stay like this lol. This is gonna be short and sweet tonight, I finished painting the kitchen cabinets finally, my arm is so sore lol I have to do just a bit of touch up tomorrow then all that is needed is to antique them, prolly have to wait til the completely dry for that, im not sure. Jan and i walked what seemed a bit more today, walked a different path which was good, walking is really helping me get the pounds off, i think right now more inches then pounds but i'll take either for sure. Im gonna head off to bed, Jan i'll see ya in the morning.
