DA DA DA DUM. . .

Well, it's  almost here! I am going to wait until afternoon to take my mag citrate, I have some stuff I need to do before I take it. I am down 14 pounds, would have been down more but had issues last night. I have done so well on the liquids, but last night about midnight I just had to have some real food. Guess what I had. . . a frozen turkey pot pie. How pathetic is that. Oh well, hopefully it won't make a difference in my liver since I have done so well on the rest of the 14 days. Ok, now that I have confessed I feel better! Hopefully, Dr. Hornbostel won't read posts today .

I haven't had but one diet pepsi since I started the liquid diet, it just seemed too sweet. But, so far today I have had 2. I will need to not drink anymore afternoon or I won't be able to sleep tonight!

Hey Liz,
   Are you excited yet? or nervous? I am neither yet, but my husband both agree I will be both this evening by bedtime :) I dont think the pot pie will mess you up, but I hope Dr. H doesnt read the post too! I tried to have some diet pepsi yesterday also but it was way too sweet!! I am glad that I cant drink it and I dont feel that I will miss it!!! I am looking forward to seeing you, I will be out of surgery by 10 I am sure!! I have to be there at 6am. Good Luck tomorrow and have a great time w/ that magnesium!! lol. I wonder if I should drink it first thing in the am, since I will be driving to Sedelia around 3 pm and there arent alot of places to stop... What do you think?

i wouldnt drink it before the trip to Sedalia ,,,,thats asking for trouble. becasuse since you have had nothing but liquid it wont take a long time to work. so i would wait till i get there and drink lots of water after you drink it ok

Jan's right, since we don't have anything but liquids it took about 10 minutes before it  started working. It's been 2 1/2 hours and it's still working everytime I drink something, so you may want to wait until you get there to take it.

Also, I would suggest putting it in a cup and drinking in all at one time. It doesn't taste that bad, but I stopped 1/2 way through and the lemon started on my saliva glands and I had a hard time getting the rest down, so just do it all at once. Also, have a chaser that has a different flavor to get that lemony taste gone!!!

Yes, I am getting nervous! I have still got to pack, but that won't take long since I'm not taking much. I have to be there at 6:30. Weird that you have to be there at 6:00. I even double checked my times to be sure I wasn't going to be late. That would just suck wouldn't it. We are going to head out at 4:30, that will give us a little extra time. I am just paranoid something will happen on the way. We probably should have gone up tonight, but I sure hate to.

Ok I am speaking out of experience----drink the stuff before you go because you never know when it is going to hit you.  When I say hit you I mean NOW!!!!!!!  I would hate for you to be on the road and it hit you.  Also, the stuff is pretty gross and I would not want to be in a car drinking it.  Hope that helps!  Have a great day and God bless, Penni
