Headaches Post-Op

I'll be 5 weeks out Tuesday.  For the last 2 weeks, I've been having headaches every day.  I take a couple Tylenol and that helps some.  Anyone else have this problem?  I'm sure it's related to my RNY since I didn't have the problem before.  Could it be from not enough protein or water?

I've really been working at getting my protein in every day and also drinking more water or Crystal Lite.  Still having a lot of problems eating chicken.  It seems to not want to go down even though I chew until it's mush.

I got the Atkins Advantage shakes and they are okay.  Also have the Atkins Day Break bars with 12 grams of protein and they go down really well.

It's wonderful to fit into clothes I couldn't wear previously.  People tell me my face is so much thinner.  I'm actually developing a waist.

check those shakes they may be way too high in sugar ...or carbs which are converting to sugar and also how much water are you getting in.
You dont have to eat chicken there is other meats if you want them. like ground beef in chili, or homemade hamburger stew.
also there are better protein bars out ....several with more protein in them.
if you want the chicken try putting a little cream soup with it to have more moisture.
get a food journal  and put down your protein, water and calories per day. see where you are and where you need to go.

you are on the first of your journey so need to get it all right to start with easy to form good habits than to try to break them later. lol
love and hugs and glad you are doing ok except for the headaches.

The protein mix has 2 grams of sugar, 3 carbs.  My dietician said no beef until month 4 but I'm going to make   meat loaf and try that.  My meat loaf is very moist.

I did try fitday.com last week but it was so slow and it took too long to put in my food.  I will keep a paper diary because I know I need to keep track.

I see the doctor Thursday so having a list of what I'm eating/drinking will be helpful.

Thanks for your advice.

it could be from your hormones.  that is what mine came from and i had to switch birth control.  the headaches were HORRABLE.  I would be sick to my stomach and everything.  i was told it was a migriane brought on from all the estrogen being relased from my fat cells.  trust me i had a LOT of fat cells so no wonder i had a headache.haha.  hope it gets better.
