2 DaYZ AND A WaKe Up!!!!
Okay, I have lost 14 lbs!! I am really going to take off walking today!! I am wanting to be 299 the day of surgery. I just dont want to be any 300lbs. I am soooo proud of myself. I was worried about not losing any at all. If I didnt have so much to lose I would probably question myself if I couldnt do this weight loss without the surgery. But, I am about to go nutz if I were going to have to do this liquid diet another 2 weeks without the down sizing of the stomach. I started out at 324 and this am I am 310!!! OMG! I am just in aw!!! My mom, Jazlyn and I are going to Sedelia Monday evening then we will wake up nice and early. I was told to be there at 6 am. I will be there at 5:30!!!
I was wondering when should I start the Magnesium Citrate? I dont want to have to stop on the highway, but I could start real early Monday am or after I get to Sedelia... I just dont want to have discomfort from here to sedelia. Also, I thought about starting it about 6 am on Monday, since we arent leaving till 3pm. ((thinking everything would be out of me by then)) And can I mix it with something like diet sprite or those walmart brand of flavored water that has some carbonation in them... they almost taste like a soda. I am thinking NO carbonation that day or ever again... I know I will get someones opinion on this... which is great!! That is what I am looking for. I am also wondering where do I buy slammers? And, where can I buy affordable clear protein to put in my soups and stuff and will it change the taste of the soups?
Okay, we can have mashed potatoes after surgery... Why would we do this? I mean, these are potatoes ppl and they have carbs!! Why would we want to intentionally get back with carbs so fast after doing the surgery? I dont understand... Please, someone explain.
I am just a little confused about a few things.. Well, this is getting long but I just thought of a few things to put out there. I am praying for everyone!!
I know we can do this!! Good luck to everyone!!

Lori,
Congrats on the 14 pound loss! The liquid diet is tough, but the weight loss is a great side effect! I started off at 330 and this morning weighed 309 so we're about the same.
About the slammers, I bought mine at GNC. I can't remember the price per tube, but if you go to gnc.com you can buy them by the case and I bet that is a *****eaper.
I don't have any advice on the mag citrate because my surgeon doesn't require it. Don't know why, he just doesn't.
You know, I wondered the same thing about the potatoes and so I looked up their protein content and there are about 5 grams of protein in a serving so they're not all bad.
Every little bit of protein helps.
There are a couple of brands of unflavored protein I've seen, but not tried yet. Unjury has one and so does Nectar. My nut. suggested thinning cream soups with soymilk to add some protein.
Good luck on your surgery Tuesday! Mine is Monday. I'll be thinking of everyone who is having surgery those two days. I know there are a bunch of us. See you on the other side!
