What's Happening Sunday for Jan

I thought I would try this earlier this morning and maybe more would post. I had such a time yesterday.

Janet did I scare you away? I watched for you all day yesterday hoping you would jump in here...?

Mimi I can't wait for you to get home and tell us all about your adventures! I know that laptop will take a bit to get used to. I used my daughters when I went to visit her in Texas and that is what got me to thinking if I really wanted one over a desktop? I just couldn't seem to get used to it, but they are great for what you are doing. You will get used to it and be as good on it as you are on your one at home.

Barbara ~ Sounds like you have a great big family, that's so nice. Were you able to eat the fish? I love love love crappie! I went to the farmers market the other day... I wanted a cuke and had to pay 75 cents for it and it was not even all that good! sure seemed a crazy price.

I will let Debbie give you directions as I'm "metro" challenged! ~tee hee I looked on the map to see where you live yesterday since Clinton is only about an hour fifteen from me... I've never heard of Freeman, so wanted to see where it is.... how long does it take you to get to K.C.?

Shannon ~ I know what you mean about the farmers market....just hated paying 75 cents for a cuke... when if you have them they are usually in abundance and you don't know what to do with them all.

I have been real fortunate this year I have a good crop of "maters"... and I have not had to water them even once or put seven dust on them... that's a first!

I LOVE pickled beets. I have wanted a "beet bed" since we built this house... our soil is soooooo dense that we will have to bring in sand to get them to do any good. We have good black soil but it is just so heavy that root plants, carrots, beets and such do not do well. Maybe Paul will get that done next year. Taters seem to do ok though.

Wouldn't it be so nice if we did not have to deal with them ole skeeters... I just had a bout with posion ivy and it sure was miserable!!!!

These hot days are good ones to just set in those recliners and catch some zzzz's! You might have to watch for someone to exit and make a mad dash before they get back! ~tee hee

I will be intersted to see what you feel about the magnesium making you sleep better... be sure and let us know?

Isn't it great to have family home! I can't wait to have grandkids! I know the folks down in the Branson area will be thrilled if you are able to go to the reunion! I hope you get to or at least meet up with some while down that way.

I have just started to think about all the clothes I have in my closet... I have so many nice dress clothes, pant suits and even a few dresses that I would like to put in a resale shop or on e~bay like some were talking about...

I can use some of my daughters clothes down to about a size 18 but then I'm going to have to get out and find some... I love the Penney's Outlet for clearence shopping! You can get some nice practical clothes for $2 and $3 sometimes. For sure under $10 if you are there at the right time. I saw some when I was up there the other day for an appointment but was just too afraid to buy them... how is that for an embedded "fat person" mentality? I guess when I do start to lose weight I will see that it is REALLY going to happen and feel safe in buying more things.

I didn't realize you would have to have surgery. I'm sorry to hear that but mabye when it is all said and done you will be able to get a more permanent wardrobe.

Well, dear friends it is Sunday already, I am going to get out a painting project today, have some gifts I want to make, it will be a good day to stay in and work on that. I hope you all have a wonderul day and keep cool!

Not sure when our Jan will be back to do this post again I sure miss her!

I think maybe Jan might be sleeping in this morning you know she probably had a big time dancing the night away. LOL

Yes,, I can and did eat some fish, never have had any problems with fish. YEA, love it!  The cukes are pricey here also, every time I catch my hubby just eating a whole cuke out in the yard, I tell him your eating a dollar again! LOL 

Freeman is about 35 miles from Kansas City. If you find Harrisonville (or know where that is on 71 highway) we are 10 miles west on State highway 2. Clinton is only about 45 minutes from me.

Can't wait for the reunion!!!

the heat is really bad out there so everyone take care!
I am having a weird summer...this is the first one in a long time that the air didnt go on first thing in the am and stay on all day....and we didnt start using it all day till last week. what a difference loosing 200lbs of insulation will do for ya....but I guess I will have to get myself a new coat...or any coat for the winter...havent had one for several years....havent really needed one. but I have a feeling that I will this yr.
 yesterday I took Catriona shopping for school.....tax free weekend....she shopped alot but we bought very little. at Fashion Bug I had me a WOW moment.
I was trying on tops while she was doing her thing and I had me 18\20 which is 1x and I felt maybe I could go lower...so I had to ask the lady what was lower than 18\20 and she said 14/16
so I found one and tried it on....IT FIT!!!
so I bought it....totally fries my mind about that! havent worn that size since high school...of course that is just in tops. still wearing 3x in pants...of course maybe I could go to 2x but I havent really tried....all of my 24's are soo loose now. Im back down to 2 or 3 pairs of pants I can wear to work. today we are going shopping again and i am hoping for another pair of capris to wear to work.
of course once it turns colder I will have to start looking for some 20's to wear. 
Sept 7th is our big family reunion....we havent had one in YEARS. so we all have to go.
it is on my mothers side...my gran is getting up there and her 8 children are putting together a huge event for her to see friends and family she hasnt seen in years. I am more than nervous!
only 2 of my aunts have seen me since my surgery...the rest havent seen me in about 6 years...about the time I wa****ting the 500 mark. so Im a little freaked out.

ok I could use some major prayers...my son gf,mother to his 2 kids decided to turn herself into the police because of fines she never paid....good for her...BUT she did it thinking she would be in front of the judge asap and the judge is on vacation so she is stuck in county....of course our policy is NEVER to give them any money (past issues) and then of course we dont have any because Dean has been out of work since May. so this leaves my son taking sole care of the babies with the extra hangers on living in their soon to be evicted from apartment.
like she is suppose to be in eviction court on monday and she will still be in jail.
they were suppose to leave town this weekend until she got this wild hair to turn herself in.

of course I have seen no evidence of packing to go anywhere and my son tells me nothing but what he thinks I want to hear. so who knows what is really going on. I of course am more than worried about my grandbabies. we did break down and told the son he could come stay with us if need be...he assured me that would NOT be happening. but had no real plan for what was happening....oh did I mention he has no job...nor do any of the other punks living in the 2 bedroom apt. to say I am on edge about the whole thing is sugar coating it. and Im mad as hell at them for doing this to themselves.
 but really besides offering them a place to stay....and not wanting to...is all I can do.
I dont know where my kid learned that good things come to loosers who wont work but thats his attitude and hers also. always taking and never willing to put forth any real effort to earn anything.
Dean has often worked 2 jobs to support him and our other 2 kids so I could stay home and raise them...and when it was real bad I also would work...opposite shifts so that my kids NEVER went to daycare.  you do what you have too. they take what they can and they have taken all that there is around here.  I dont know what they will do now. so plzz keep us in your prayers.
  school starts in another week for us...we are starting early this yr so that they can give us 3 week vacation so that the big move from the old High school to the new one can happen.
Catie is very excited about the new school....not about loosing her open lunch hour but the new school is HUGE and her class will be the first graduating class so it should be an exciting new year.

Today, I spent alot of the day cleaning and getting rid of more toys and clothes of Jazlyn's. She has grown atleast 3-4 inches this summer!! She was in 7/8 and now is in some 8's in jeans but in tops she went from 7/8 to 10-12. I am also looking for some clothes that are around 26-28 in the thrift store but I dont want to pay too much since I wont be at this size much longer... I cant seem to find any.... anywhere? The townhouse is all clean from top to bottom, all closets the whole bit. So, when I come home from surgery I dont have to worry about it. So, thats what I did .... Tomorrow, is my last dr. appt for the 6 month supervised diet!!! I am soooo excited!!! Love and prayers to all~* Lori
