No Sugar Added Fudge Sickles
Be careful of calories and most of all sugar alcohols. Just because they have splenda or no sugar added doesn't mean no sugar alcohols. They are the same as regular sugar for me and many more. I make my own with the popsicke molds for kids. I use one package of SF pudding mix as directed and add a scoop of protein powder and freeze. All my grandkids love these and also my husband who is diabetic.

Well fooey!!! I wrote the the nutritionist & here's her responce.
Angela, Stick to the sugar-free popsicles and no sugar free fudgesicles. 1) the popsicles will count toward your fluid, but the fudgesicles won't. 2) Keep things clear as this is a habit you'll have to follow after surgery 3) part of making a lifestyle change is giving up and grieving the loss of dessert items. The popsicles are allowed for fluid reasons but you'll have to come to terms with giving up the other "sweets" (even sugar free) that might make it harder for you to make the lifestyle changes you need. Eventually, several months to a year after surgery some of these sugar-free item will be okay on occasions, such as in a group setting where you know everyone is having dessert and you need to be social and have one for you, too. But right now focus on getting in healthy, nutrient-dense foods... not just carb free or sugar free. I am 2 years and almost 7 years out. There is no way I will go without my sugar free stuff. These things are the only things that make me feel somewhat normal. I really don't see anything wrong with it. Remember I am 2 and a half years out, I wouldn't have eaten them early out. Sugar free is better than full sugar. Hope all goes well for you, God bless, Penni
