I would like to run a 5k in October if possible.  I can run a mile now without too much difficulty.  I have gotten lazy...hate the heat, and totally stopped exercise.  Is there anyone that would like to be my training buddy and jog in the eve?  I live in Republic, work in Spfld, and get off work at 6pm.  Off every Sunday.  If interested call me.  631-9819.

I would love to do that but I live in Windsor which is to far away.  I am thinking about asking a friend of mine who has run in races before to help me train and run one myself.  It is one of my goals.  Good luck with finding someone for you.  God bless, Penni

Monique,
You go girl. Running a 5k would be the end of this old woman but I'll cheer you on anytime.
Hugs,
Lana

I can't be your running buddy, I live to far away, but I have a website that you might be interested in.  This is a program I have done and I really enjoy it!  I'm waiting for the weather to cool down a little and I'm anxious so I can start it again.  If you're serious about running a 5k, this is worth your time to give it a look.

It's called Couch to 5k.  It teaches a newbie how to run and if you follow it you should be able to do it in about 2 months.. but since you can already run, you could probably bypass the first couple of weeks... give it a look!  I wish you the best on your 5k, you'll feel so proud of yourself.
