Its been a while since I have posted on here so I thought I would check it out.  I have been post op for 2 years, 7 months and 25 days.  I was 308 before sugery, made goal at about 10 months, got pregnant with my 3 child gained about 27 pounds and now I am 155 wanting to lose about 10 pounds.  There is the ends and outs of my journey.  I live in Windsor Missouri and am thinking about going back to my support group in Sedalia.  My surgery was with Dr. Horbostle and I love him.  I just had my labs done and found I was low in B12 so I am starting my shots back up again.  I am waiting to here from Dr. H to see if there is anything I need to do.  About a week ago I started to drink my protein in the morning again and have found that doing that has really helped my carb cravings.  I have lost 2 pounds since I started and am feeling more in control of myself.  I have not started an excersise routine yet and know that if I want to have long time success I need to start doing that.  Its just taking that first step.  I am thrilled to come by and visit and plan to come back more often.  You all have a great day and God bless, Penni

Penni,Don't really remember you from before but welcome back. You are doing the right thing getting support from the board and a group. You will be glad when you finally can exercise - it speeds up the weight loss. Hugs,
Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

Welcome back Penni;
We are happy to have you back. Maybe you can come to our second annual reunion to be held in September in Branson West. You'll learn alot and meet new friends. We all have the same goals and some the same problems some different but, we are there for each other. The carb monster hits us all at some time or another. I am more than 5 years out and still fight the carb monster and have never been much on exercise. I have just started walking again and am now doing 2.5 miles a day. I plan on walking in the "Walk for diabetes"in September  and the Walk from obesity" in Kansas City in October. Maybe you can too.
Hugs; Barbara
