A few wow moments

I want to share a few of my wow moments I have had the past few weeks. Thursday the 17th was my six month check-up  and I have lost 120 pounds since my RNY 12-12 my weight was 261, 136 total lost. The next day I went on vacation to see my folks. They have not seen me since Easter and boy they were surprised to see how much I have lost. During the trip I stayed on my food plan and even tried some new healthy foods.

When I saw my sister she was shocked to see how much I have lost. I felt daring and wanted to see how her pants fit me. When I put them on they fell off. I am now smaller than my sister :P . Later that day we meet up with my cousin and the rest of my relatives. All of my life I have always been big. My cousin was always the smaller one. We took a picture with the three of us (the three girls) and I was the smallest. It was a good feeling.

The next wow moment was yesterday I went to my PCP and just wanted to weigh. One of my goals has been to weigh less than my husband. His current weight is 261. When I step onto the scales I could have screamed for joy. I weighed 257 pounds. For the first time in a very long time I weigh less than my husband. When I walked outside I JUMPED for joy, I was so happy.

To top the day off I went to wally world. I tried on size 20 shorts that fit a little snug, so I went for size 18. After a little sucking and tucking I got them zipped. I got the 18 because in a week they should fit fine. It has been at least 20 years since I have worn a size 18.

My BMI has gone form 61 to 39.1. I am no longer morbidly obese I am considered, severely obese. Now, I feel like a normal fat person.  I am 58 pounds from my original goal of 199; however I feel I can lose another 80 pounds. When I go places with my kids and husband THEY are the ones lagging behind. I love to walk and if I get winded it feels great to be alive.
