Hello MO peeps
Well I am finally beginning to feel a little like my self again..
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes...I went to the University sat and they kept me until sunday afternoon. Ran some test. The dr thought I might have a fistula but thank god I didn't. All the test came back good. No leaks or anything either. I was a little dehydrated so got some fluids for that..
Finally found a protein drink that I can get past my lips. I use unflavored protein in 4 oz water, a packet of crystal light fruit punch. I can get it down pretty fast and it doesn't gag me...
I get to start eating thurs. and i can't wait..I tried to eat some egg drop soup but it just didn't taste the same.
I am off my blood pressure and diabetic meds. Praise God..I have lost 45 lbs since April and 17 lbs since surgery. Weight was 281 at the docs today....
I do know one thing though, no matter how many books you read, have many seminars you go to, how many people tell you about it this is a life changing event and I truely was not prepared. I don't mean that I didn't want to have the surgery, I just mean I had no idea what to expect and it wasn't at all like I thought it was going to be. I think after awhile I will get used to this, but it is so extemely different..
Were you all really hungry after surgery. They told us in class that we wouldn't be hungry after surgery, but I feel like I am starving...
Well guess I had better get off here and lay down..I am getting tired, need to get my strenght built back up....

well finally there you are, we were all getting so worried about you. didnt know what to think. so mainly you were dehydrated and just not getting any protein in right? I so wi**** could be told to everyone before surgery that these two things are not just important but are INPORTANT and if you dont do as they say you have to do you are going to feel like crap and get worse and worse.

(getting in your protein and water and Vits) it doesnt change your brain, one bit. lol sure wi**** did.
So glad that you finally got it and that you realize that the protein is not something that you can do if you want to or not but is something you have to do . it is your job to find one that you can get down. it isnt suppose to taste like a milk shake it is your medicine. that is wonderful that you are off the prescription drugs now. just remember the protein is now your meds that you have to get down agout 3 times a day.
you will start feeling better and stronger now that you found your magic bullet lol

Bev!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you are ok. We were all so worried about you. I called up to the hospital Monday and they said that you weren't there, so I knew that you must be ok.
I'm glad that you found a protein that you like. Which unflavored did you get? I am going to GNC this weekend & get a couple different proteins to have on hand after surgery.

Hi Kerri, when you get your ticker made how you want it you right click and scroll down to copy on the actual picture of the ticker, not the codes. The codes don't work on here.
