WHATS HAPPENING FOR WEDNESDAY

6:30 came early this morning. But I was up and ready for the walk with Andy. I really am glad he is there to push me to get out and do this. I want to get those muscles in my legs firmed up and stronger so that when I have this left knee done in a couple of months that it will go along good. Im going to have to do it soon , im really leaning in that direction. The left knee no longer straightens out all the way and so it make me lean causing the skin on that side to lay on itself making raw areas around the waist and below the tummy area. And it is causing hip pain again something that I haven’t had since I had the other knee don’t a year ago. So that is pushing me toward doing it . I guess I will make an appointment to go see the ortho guy in a few days. I want to wait till my flowers are about done for the summer and I have gotten all the seeds collected that I need to collect and the bulbs dug up that I need to dig. Etc etc.

I am going to have to dig all my elephant ears this year and divide them and replant them I guess. They are so so thick that I don’t know .if it is good for them or if I should thin them out. I will have to ask the experts lol

 

Did you all see the lightening and hear that loud thundering last night about 2 am. But not a drop of rain with it. Guess it was just a heat storm…. Today it was up to 91 and it started getting really dark, thunder was rolling constantly with heavy heavy winds.  Sounded really scary, (one thing im leary of is hard wind) was blowing things all around and tree tops were bending a lot. But it did rain this time a little .about a half of an inch but the temp dropped in less than an hour from 91 to 66 wow!!!! Is pleasant out there now. I was watering things this morning but had quit because it was getting so very hot and would scald things so I guess this was Gods way of helping us on that.

 

 

 

SHEILA::::: what in the world is wrong with your cars. And how much is it going to cost to get them fixed? Maybe it would be cheaper for you to trade them both in and get something else? Sometimes some of the dealers in Springfield have a bring in your car any car even tow it in and they will give you a couple of thousand on it .i guess I would want to see if I were you if they would approve me first before I drug a car down there . lol

How ever we have to do it we will get you to the reunion some way , some how. Ok? So just plan on it and save you some money to come.

 

 

SUGAR:::: that sounds like a really great subject to talk about , who do we have in the group that would like to look all of that up and give us that info tho. That is quite an undertaking.  Maybe Jean Woods if she would come ….She is a pretty smart cookie.

IF someone comes to anyones mind that would like to do this or knows someone that would do it maybe they would drop me a line about it.

I am going to be sending out an email in the next few days about us having a clothing exchange next month. Mine are beginning to getting to be slim pickins as far as many that are too big. There are some tho. Is funny on size, mediums for the most part fit in tops but then I will find one once in a while that is way too tight.

The things I wear most of the time, to dig in are getting to big but don’t think anyone would want them lol

Pauls moms house must be a really big roof? But I guess he cant work on it for too long especially with the heat , trying to put in a metal roof even in the cold weather gets tricky

Is he having to do it all by himself?

 

Yeah tofu is all protein and lots of vegetarians use it to get their protein , my oldest daughter is a vegetarian, except for sea food lol . but she uses that stuff and I told her that it is gross, she says no you just have to know how to use it. She cooks it in stuff and it takes on the taste of what she cooks it in , or so she says. To me it is still yuck.

KERRI::::; well not much longer girl till your surgery. You will do just fine , just remember that you are taking on a change eating pattern for the rest of your life. Not for just a little while but for the rest of your life. Protein , protein protein. That is your mantra now. And yes you will have to do it with protein drinks of some kind , at least you will till you are able to eat lots and lots of food. Since I don’t want to eat lots and lots of food I opt to still do 3 protein drinks a day , the food is only to fill me up and keep me from thinking im hungry to me.

Also it is important that you start trying to get in at least 64 oz of water daily, I get in about 80 oz daily but im two years out on the 14^th of August. Sure doesn’t seem like it has been that long.

Been a great two years.

I heard someone say last night to some one else about how strick I was. Lol if they only knew how I fight myself at home all the time about not eating this or that. Lately it has been wanting sugar treats, of course I really don’t want it and I have taken tiny bites of Joes stuff and it is horrible but I still want it. Lol and I don’t dare buy the sugar free stuff, instead of eating just one and satisfying my craving I will wind up eating the whole package in a days time. So I just don’t have it in the house. I can resist Joes sugary treats but when it says sugar free, my mind says oh boy eat eat eat. Lol

 

Yeah my computer has been going nuts with the beeping too. Actually chirpings when there is a storm

ANGY:::: well Janet is in AZ so I guess she doesn’t know anything . I don’t know why her granddaughter hasn’t gotten on line and said anything. .

I have emailed her twice but still haven’t gotten anything back.

 

 

BEV::::::: thought you were going to tell us about a job or about the mortar cycle sure hope that all of that is.

Sounds like you are beginning to get settled in . and maybe think of that place as home now.

Glad that you are finding a doctor , church, job,I am hoping and praying that you get the new job. Would fit your personality better to I think.

Hey Everyone,

Wow what a good meeting last night.  It really was so great to see everyone last night.  I've needed the support like that for ages.  I wish everyone in missouri had the opportunity to attend a support meeting,  they really are needed to help get keep on track.  I can't wait for next months.  

My crazy car broke down on the way to the meeting, thank God we were following Joe and Jan, we were able to leave the car near there at a park and ride and come on to springfield.  Picked the car up last night and it ran just fine, crazy car lol, we left it at a garage and called this morning, we ended up Joe took me to take the car to another garage and they found the problem and fixed it, thank the Lord it only costs $30, was just something simple, yay!!!

Jan I really did enjoy the meeting, can't wait for next months already!!  Hopefully next time I wont make ya late  lol.  It was really great to see everyone looking so good.  Thanks again for rescuing us and letting Joe take me to the garage today,  you all are such blessings!!   I'll catch ya in the morning for the walk.  Those storms last night were wicked wernt there?  And today, I thought about you when all the wind was blowing.

Im gonna head off to bed, have a Dr. appointment in the morning, gotta get established with one here and get some labs done.  Hope everyone has a good night.

got a text from Janet mon they made it sunday and she said only a matter of time till dad passes on...got a text from tues and she said it was a 114 degrees down there...HOT

Well, hello everyone...wonder whats up with all the car problems with everyone???Think the weather has somehting to do with it?
Sis, Im glad you have decided to go ahead and get the knee done. You will feel so much better when that is healed and can get around like a normal person. If you get it done soon, by next springs flower season, you'll be up and running.
The clothing drive should be posted so people understand to bring thier things either marked with the size or we could have some labels to put by things with sizes on them...that way people dont have to dig.
Another idea I had was for each month, someone to get there early and make coffee and maybe bring a wls friendly snack for everyone. Or at least call for volunteers to do that. I would be glad to do something for next months. Do you have to take a coffee pot up there or do they have one for you to use???? A pitcher of crystal lite peach tea might be good in place of coffee...
Anyway, just a thought. Let me know!
I have the boys today and am going to buy tickets to take 4 of the grandkids to see High School Musical production at Springfield little theater. Of course Melissa (dil) and daughter Chelle want to go too. So there will be 7 of us going. The 2 boys Im keeping today dont want to go. They just ask if I would take them to a movie instead...lol!
I think I give up on finding a strapless white summer dress...Ive looked on several web sites. Maybe I can come to Branson and look soon. Hopefully I will find one before we go to Destin in Sept.
Bec, cant wait to see you tomorrow...and see what kind of trouble we can get into. lol! and besides I would like to celebrate with you. Dont know if I can jump as high as your little mascot, but I will try!!! lol

Hello Everyone,
 It was so great to met everyone at the meeting, thank you all so much for such a great welcome, I really enjoyed myself, and can hardly wait until the next one.
 We found a lot of good deal's at all the thrift store's, especialy Tiff. She is all set for school clothes' now. I kept telling her that we would go buy her some new clothes but she wouldn't hear it, she wanted those. I don't know how I did it, but I have two girl's that would much rather shop at a thrift store then at the mall. As long as they are happy, who am I to argue. LOL
 My doctor visit wasn't as good as I wanted it, he did some more trimming on the bottom of my foot, and is having me try wearing only thick soled tennis shoe's or croc's for 6 month's, and if this doesn't work he want's to do another surgery to take more bone off.
 It was so nice to get home out of all that heat and get my foot put up. I was so tired I just pasted out on the couch and thats were I stayed the rest of the night. Tiff knows not to wake me up unless she really has to cause I become a bear, and plus chance's are I wont ever get back to sleep.
 Jan it was so nice to see you again, the girl's didn't really remember what you looked liked until you showed them your pic. I would like to bring my other girl, but I really don't want to leave her out in the car while we are in the meeting. She does so good traveling, she just doesn't like to stay in the car and wait.
 I think both of the girl's are feeling better about my surgery after the meeting, it done them a lot of good to come and listen. Both of them can be so shy at first, so I'm sure as they get to know everyone better they will ask more. (I wonder were they get that from.LOL)
  Again thank you everyone for welcoming us and for the great time, I look forward to visiting and seeing you all again.

Just killing sometime before going to therapy.  Got a huge bucket of cucumbers to work up or give away and another of zucchini.  I am going to grate the zuchini and freeze it to use later.  Starting to get more tomatos every day now.  Had cottage cheese and a tomato at lunch today.  It really filled me up.

Going to Kansas City this weekend for a couple of family biirthdays and everyone will be there but my daughter and grandson.  Can't wait to see my other 2 grandchildren and my greatneice also.

We are taking the truck which costs about 40 cents a mile to drive but we have no choice as we are bringing back 2 recliners & an air conditioner.  Sis is bringing them up from Little Rock for us.  Will put the ac in my bedroom and the 2 recliners will replace the 2 lazy boys in the great room.  The ones there have seen better days and Dad doesn't want to get rid of them (they are 30 years old) but he really likes the new ones and sis said she would give them to him if he gets rid of his old ones  - YEAH!!!

Good evening OH friends!  I just knew something good was going to happen today, I kept telling myself that.  I got a call a little bit ago and it was from the lady that interviewed me Friday at the school dist.  she offered me a position as a para-educator working in an elementry school k-4.  I was so excited, I start 8/13 and orientation is 8/12.  God does answer prayers!

The nurse from my new dr. called today and said that my thyroid was very low and wanted to increase my meds.  I didn't get to talk to her she left me a message so I called and of course had to leave her a message cause I want to know what the numbers were and also what my other labs were.  Well, she never called me back I told her I was at wor****il 1:30 and if she could call after that......if she calls tomorrow I will be at work and again won't be able to answer it....

Well, I'm tired and hungry so I better figure out what I can eat I was just so happy about my new job I wanted to share the news with you all....
