Helo all I just wanted to let you know that I had my pre-op assessment and all went well.  All of my tests and scans are great and I am cleared for surgery.  I am now at day two of the slim fast and feel ok I guess.  I was so freakin hungry yesterday but today is a little better.  I have to look at it as a fast and I can get through it.  I was just wondering Am I able to cook a soup water based and drain the stuff out of it and just drink the broth?  Chicken broth is gross from the carton!!YUCK!!!  I am taking all of my vitamins and they seem to be ok too.  I have to be quite honest I was very nervous about the egd however it was the best sleep I have ever had!! LOL.  I guess I was telling the nurses that they needed to change the chemicals in the pool.  My husband was cracking up.  What  a ride!!  How do you copy the tickers?  I went to the site made my ticker and copied the code.  When I reviewed my posts my signature was the code? Whats up?  Hope all of you are doing well and hope to hear from you.

Thanks,

Kerri

I'm glad to hear that everything went well!  You'll be in surgery before you know it!  I bet you're pretty excited.  The slim fast thing sucks, but it'll be a memory faster than you think.

As far as the ticker, you actually have to copy and paste the ticker not the code.

Best wishes!

Christine

Thank you so much I was beginning to get frustrated and now I can have a ticker!! Thanks.  I stayed at  WhitemanTuesday and Wed.  I was in a TLF and it was great.  I will be there for my surgery too.

Great news Kerri!  Glad your pre-op assessment when well!  Like Christine mentioned.....it will be no time and you'll have your surgery completed!  I wish you the very best!  With the ticker, it's best not to copy the code.....you'll want to actually copy the ticker itself and then paste that into the spot in your profile.......it can definitely be a bit confusing at first.  Then when you need to update it, you must go back into the site, do your updates, once this is done and saved, it will automatically update the next time you post!  ----Shelley

You know I don't see why you could not strain the soup.  I know others that do the chicken noodle soup and strain out the noodles and chicken.  Have you tried Swanson brand of premade broth?  I am drinking the vegi one right now and it is pretty good.  Can add some season to it also.  I am just on day 1 of my 2 week fast.
