Lori it took me ages to get used to it, now I can't sleep without it.  I found for me that using the Nasal Pillows works best,  dunno if you've seen those or not but you dont have that full mask on your face, it just fits in your nasals,  those too took me a bit to get used too, for me tho they are the most comfortable.  I wish there was a secret formula I could give ya to make the cpap work better for ya, unfortunetly some get used to it easier then others.  Hope you can get comfortable with it soon.

It took me several months until I was able to wear mine 100% of the time.  It does take some getting used to but after you do you won't be able to sleep without it.  Since I have lost 120 lbs they are saying that my pressure could probably be decreased it is on 16 now.  I have a problem with the mask fitting me too cause I have such a small nose that I have to wear a pediatric mask the nasal pillows don't work for me cause they are too big and my pressure at this time is too high.  Hang in there and just try every night to wear it a little longer then the night before and evenually you will be able to get used to it.  Good luck and hang in there.

I have a lot of problems with mine, too. I went through a period of time where I subconsciously took it off 2 or 3 times every night. My husband would wake up, because I'd be "breating funny" and make me put it back on. Mostly, now, it keeps my husband awake, because it often "gaps" and it is terribly loud when it does that. I also have trouble with the "L" joint that connects with the mask leaking air and being loud. My provider says that's not a problem they are familiar with and I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I usually sleep on my stomach, with my head propped up.

The funny thing is, that despite all the problems I have with it, I can't sleep without it, anymore!

Good luck with yours. Hopefully you will get used to it, soon. Personally, I think I'm going to check out the "nose pillows".
