Well where to start I had my Lap-Band surgery Oct of 2006 and have been a very sloooowww weight loss. Probably about 50lbs since surgery and about 50 to go. My question is for all those  patients Dr.Wager has treated. How are your fills?  I have a 10cc band  and think I am at about 7cc I have not had a fill since last Nov2007 partly because I didn't take the time to go and do it. (Going to school) But also because of frustration everytime I went it was $50 and about 1/2cc and that was starting to annoy me.So..I called to get a fill in May and find out oh by the way a fill is now $100 instead of $50 Yikes no notice sent out just oh by the way. Well needless to say I didn't go and get a fill because I was mad that after being a patient for almost 18 months there was no courtesy letter sent out informing his patients of this price hike. Oh I was also a self-pay so had already put over $15,000 out of pocket. I just didn't want to spend the $$$$. After trying to find another physician who would take my insurance (which just recently started paying for the surgery) my hands are tied nobody will touch me because they didn't do the surgery. Has anyone else had this same issue? If so how did you handle the situation. I was wondering about a Flora fill? Then the restriction could be seen? Not sure if he does these because I haven't asked. But I am just frustrated not to mention I don't think I have ever reached my sweet spot as I started getting treated for diabetes last May and that is when the weight really started to come off simple from getting sick from my meds. Help....Nicki

Nicki so sorry that your having problems, that is some of the reasons i chose to do the RNY instead of the lapband
I had seriously thought about doing the lapband at first then i decided i needed more control over how much and what i could eat. and my age i didnt want to wait a couple of years to get all the weight off.
That doesnt seem right to me that they charge you all at all for a fill . at least not for the first year or until they reach the sweet spot as you all call it.
Hope you can get some resolve to this . Jan
