For those of you that had drains. Were they painful? Mine is so painful that I cannot get up and walk that I am not drenched in sweat. I had my daughter look at it and she said it looked good. No sign of infection. I am only draining about 1/2 oz of fluid and it is light pink. I know that I have not been walking near the amount I should but I just can't. only walking about 3 times a day.  Any advice...help Janet.....

Hey Bev, sorry to hear that your in pain. I had a drain in my neck. I had a tumor in my parotid gland & had to have it removed. The drain did not hurt, just kinda in the way. But when they took it out it did feel much better. I would call up to the office tomarrow morning bright & early. Maybe they will have you come up before Thursday to take it out, especially since your having such little fluid. Or maybe since your daughter is an RN, maybe they will let her take it out if she knows how to do that. I would definitly call the Dr. tomarrow tho. Good luck to you. I hope they get it straightened out for you. (((HUGS))) Angy

Hi Bev,

So sorry you are hurting.

I don't know a thing about the drains but I wanted you to know that I am praying that the Lord gives you relief from this or provides a quick resolution!

Hand in there!

I had a drain for 1 month. I was sore and it bothered me quite a bit. the drive home from Little Rock was alot better than the ride down the day I had my drain removed.

it also worried me and im not sure which was worse...but it will soon be a distant memory for you!

hang in there.

Hey Bev, the only thing that worries me is the possiblitiy of other problems that really arent associated with the drain. I complained of pain and it turned out to be an abcess. DONT worry, Im sure yours isnt that, but just be careful and if it is hurting you that bad, call the Dr. I dont remember my drain hurting but it was in such an uncomfortable place. But if your breaking a sweat from trying to walk, from the pain...I would think that isnt right. Maybe they will take it out early if it is healed. Keep us all informed and know that we are praying for you. We are all anxious for you to get well and get started on this amazing road to fat freedom.

OH MY DO DRAINS HURT!! I just got mine out yesterday. I hardley did any walking either. My back would just start spasming and it would be so painful. There is really no advice to give unless you have pain killers take them. If no pain killers take tyelenol. Hang in there!
