Cassie L - Waiting on an Update

I have been praying for Cassie.  We are all aware that she had her RNY on June 23.  She's a diabetic and asmatic.  She continued to vomit, but was up ambulating.  One June 25, she was taken back to surgery due to herniation, then after that, she began vomiting blood clots!  She was taken back to surgery on Friday, June 27th for leakage from her bypass into her abdomen.  Not good.  Her O2 dropped and pulse rate went up.  She was placed on a ventilator for a few days to help her poor body that had been 3 major surgeries in 5 days!  Cassie and I work at the same place and I am so concerned about her.  Her poor outcomes are what surgeons write about and patients hope never happens to them.  She's a terrific young woman.  Let's all pray for her and get the prayer chain going again.  Thanks for your time.  Donna

Donna, I've been thinking about Cassie and praying for her. I really hope she'll be okay. She is about my age so it really hits close to home as I wait for my surgery date. I'll keep her in my prayers and thoughts. Brandy

I've been praying for Cassie since we first heard of her complications and will continue until we hear that she is ok.  Donna, do you know how she is doing now?  Is she still on the ventilator?  Still in ICU?  Can you tell us what Hospital & room # she is in.  I'm sure that many of us would love to send her a card.   Thanks for keeping us posted,  (((HUGS))) Angy

I wish only the best for Cassie and I'm sorry that I've not sent a message sooner.......I read about her post-op troubles the night before my surgery on the 30th of June, so was totally scared to death for not only her, but me too!    I'll be praying for her and will look forward to further updates as to how she is doing!  ----Shelley
