Pre-op Visit

I had my pre-op visit yesterday and it was very informative.  Signed my life away too.  The young woman in the class with me told the nurse she can't do a liquid diet over the 4th of July weekend.  I'm not even thinking about it.  Our daughter's family will be out of town.  We're invited to a BD party for my niece but I'm going to go a day early so as to avoid the food  when the family gets together. This is my third day on liquids and it's not as bad as I thought.  I have a variety of shake mixes from Vitalady.  I highly recommen vitalady.com July 8th will be here very soon!!

Congrats hang in there I know it's really hard to stick to a liquid diet especially during a holiday that is surrounded by food.  It will be worth it in the long run.  See you on the losers bench!

Congratulations on doing well on your liquid diet.  I shouldn't be too far behind you.  The liquid diet scares me.  I had to do a 2 day clear liquid diet for a colonoscopy and that was hard.  I can't emagine how 2 weeks will be, but I will make it through it. Sounds like that lady isn't ready for surgery if she can't give up food on a holiday for her pre-surg diet.  OH well.  I know that I will do WHATEVER I have to in order to get surgery.  No matter if I have to miss a BBQ or whatever.   That's a good idea to go to your nieces a day early, that way no temptations. Angy, I won't tell you I just love my new meal plan, but I'm thinking of the outcome.  I have several flavors of protein mixes, but after a few days, they just aren't tasting so good.  Yesterday I only had 3.  I was hungry, but the thought of another shake wasn't enticing.  I do seem to have lost my craving for sweets.  I did cheat yesterday and today and had a cup of decaf coffee with a little creamer.  Usually, I add 1 or 2 packets of Splenda, but didn't need it.   Yesterday was hubby's BD and we celebrated Monday evening since I was starting my liquid diet Tuesday.  I did get him a chicken dinner at the deli and it didn't appeal to me at all except the potatoes.  He loves dark meat chicken and I just won't so no temptation there.  Also got him brussell sprouts and I can't stand them.  Since it was his BD, I even sat at the table with him and had a shake.  He feels bad eating in front of me, but I tell him it doesn't bother me.

Hi Jo~ I am doing my famous baby circle dance for you!! You are doing so well, and should be very proud of yourself! Your going to succeed and do very well. Your new life is going to be here before you know it.... Do you have an angel yet? If not, would you like one? I've seen messages re angels, but haven't really looked into it.  Guess I need more information.
